Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Side Stories ❯ Chapter 1 ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Greetings and Salutations fanfiction lovers! I'm brand new here, but I know my way around a bit. This is my first story so tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I tried to make my writing easy to read and descriptive, so I hope you enjoy...
First off, I'll say that I love Yu Gi Oh! But I do live in Canada and I don't speak Japanese(yet) What I mean is that I don't know everything about the characters because I've only seen the shows up to the Battle City Finals. Why is that important? Because when I write fanfictions, I want them to be as true to the story as possible. No Mary Sues or completely whacko OCs. I do write LOTR fanfics sometimes, but those are easy to get exactly right. If there is an error(a big one) I'd like to know. Something that I might have missed because of not reading the manga or watching the original unedited shows. Anyway, this story is a piece of my imagination. I love pairings. Don't call me on my pairings if you don't like them, god knows I do to other people(bad habit) Speaking of which, this story has quite a bit of Yaoi, slash, lemons, the whole enchilada. Let's just say it gets very zesty. JonouchiXSeto, YuugiXYami, JonouchiXMai, and a little HondaXSerenity(note: I call her Serenity and not by her Jap name because I like Serenity better)

I think I have to say this...Disclaimer: I obviously don't own any of these characters, personas, graphics, whatever. I don't really care, but I hear it's important.

So anyway, on with the story. One more quick note is that I write kinda funny. When I write a story(especially a fanfic) I map out the story, say what is in what chap. and what happens. Then I write each chapter in the order I am inspired to write it. I've already written chapter 2(It needs reviewing) and Chapter 4, 6, 8 and 9, but all the in-between ones I haven't even started on yet. I already know what's in them, I just need to write it out.

Side Stories, Chapter (Dududu Dan!!!) One.

Jou quietly replaced his telephone on its cradle.

'How did I just do that?' he asked out loud to the empty bedroom.
His voice echoed inside his head and he dropped his handsome blond head against a wall.
He let out a long held breath.

He had been talking long with Mai, who was now his girlfriend of . . . he glanced at his watch, five minutes. He remembered very little of their conversation, only the four most important words did he remember clearly, "I like you to," Mai had said.

He remembered his heard soared and his toes curled in excitement. As he ran over these memories in his soupy brain, a smile grew larger on his face, remembering the last thing she had said to him, "I'll meet you for breakfast, okay?" Jou threw himself down on his bed and sighed. A thought dawned on him.

'What'll I wear?' he screamed inside his head. He jumped up to his closet and pulled out shirts and pants. He picked up his nice jeans but stopped and dropped them,

'I can't look like I care about what I wear,' he cautioned himself, sitting down in dismay.

'I guess I'll sleep on it,' and shoving the clothes off his bed, dropping his head on a pillow.

Mai is beautiful, Jou thought, hazing into sleep. He thought of her long, thick blond mane and her piercing violet eyes, her confident voice and her cheeky smile. His mind slipped into sleep and his dreams continued his thoughts.

He dreamed that he was kissing her gently, and his entire body was smiling, the kiss was warm and sweet.
Mai pulled away from him and smiled seductively, her arms around his neck.
Does my puppy like it? She said, almost mockingly. Jou blinked and Mai was suddenly gone and he was looking into the smirking face of Seto Kaiba. His teal eyes flashing under his dark, longish bangs. They began another kiss and Jou felt pressure against his torso he got incredibly turned on.

Jou suddenly awoke in his own bed, covered in sweat and panting slightly. Where had Mai gone?
She had turned into Seto; Jou remembered his old flame's kisses vividly. Jou lay down again but didn't fall back to sleep, it was too early to get up.

Seto and Jou broke up not long before, and Seto was more of a forest fire that a flame.
And Seto was the only person who had ever called him "puppy" a demeaning pet name Seto had given him as a way to tease him, because Seto was very controlling. Jou had liked it, liked it a lot, but his heart told him he couldn't always be controlled by Seto, and had to move on, to make it on his own. Not that any of this mattered much to Seto,

"You'll be back," Seto had said with an evil laugh in his throat.

Jou laid in bed for a few more hours then got and ready, he was meeting his friends for breakfast, including Mai.

"Joey's Coffee" was a favourite hang out for Jou and his close friends, so at 10:30 that morning, Jou walked there and met his friends at their usual table.
Yuugi and Anzu were waiting there for him, chatting lightly and greeted Jou cheerfully when he sat down.

"Can we order now?" Anzu asked. Anzu was a childhood friend of Jou, she was smart and kind and always said the right thing when you were down, and she had yet to give poor advice.

"No, not yet," Jou, looking at them.

"Why not Jou?" Yuugi eyed his friend carefully. Yuugi was a fairly recent friend from his school, but he was Jou's best friends, someone you could really count on. Yuugi was a very odd guy. He was very short, shorter than anyone else in their senior class, or in their whole school too. He dressed odd and his hair was even odder, larger than life, but he was compassionate and sincere, and he was a true friend, who was always there for Jou.

Jou looked at his wristwatch,

"I'm waiting for someone," he answered simply, Yuugi and Anzu leaned in closer.

"Who?" They asked.

"Uh, you'll see." Jou looked up and smiled.

"You'll see who, Jou?" Mai walked up to their table Joy motioned for her to sit next to him, she did. She greeted them all happily.

She then leaned over and kissed Jou softly. Jou closed his eyes and enjoyed her greeting, but the memory of his dream pricked at the back of his mind. He shrugged it off. They broke apart and looked for the reactions Yuugi and Anzu.

"What's this?" Anzu asked playfully, thought she and Yuugi knew quite well what had happened, they had been friends with Jou long enough to know about him fancying Mai.

'I guess Jou finally got up the nerve to tell her,' Anzu thought to herself, 'good for him,'

"What does it look like," Mai said coolly, she smiled at them.

"Cool, I'm happy for you guys," Yuugi added; though a little pain of jealousy touched his heart to see them so happy. Yuugi silently willed to talk to his friend Yami later.

"So, can we eat now?" Anzu said, whining a little. Everyone nodded.

"Not without me I hope," Honda came bouncing over to their table.

"Hey Honda," Jou high fived him as he sat next to Anzu, "what's up?"
Honda was Jou's other best friend, ever since pre-school.

"Guess who's the newest couple," Anzu said to him. Honda gave her a blank stare. Jou put his arm around Mai proudly.

"How'd you know?" Honda said, amazed.

"Huh?" Anzu replied, "Jou and Mai just hold us." She said, confused. Honda looked at Jou and Mai, his face relaxed.

"Oh! I thought you meant me, but I don't know how'd you know 'cause I haven't told anyone yet," he sat back and folded his arms in satisfaction.

"What'chu talkn' about Honda?" Jou asked suspiciously, he had an uneasy hunch.

"I have a date with Serenity this afternoon." He said smugly. They all stared at him.

"Um, Honda..." Yuugi spoke up quietly, "does Serenity know about it?"

Everyone burst into fitful giggles. Honda huffed, insulted.
"Of course she knows, I asked her, 'would you like to see a movie with me?' and she said yes." His voice sounded hurt and defensive.

"Honda," Jou said, "What were here exact words?" Honda grimaced.

"Your sister, Jou, said that she would love to see that new sci-fi movie, and then she thanked me for coming with her." He glared at them.

Anzu pasted and evil smile on her lips. "Because..." she prodded.

"Because..." Honda hesitated. They all stared at him.

"Okay, because non of her other friends could go, ya happy?" he admitted. The others smiled, but didn't say anything. An irritated silence hung over their table for a few moments.

"Don't worry Honda," Anzu finally said, "I'm sure she was just covering it up."

Honda nodded. Then he sighed.
"Jou, do you think she likes me, at all?"

Jou leaned forward and smiled sappily.

"You know Honda, I really think she doesn't. So you leave her alone." He said dramatically, shaking his fist as a humorous threat

"Jou!" Mai snapped. She turned to Honda,

"Oh course she likes you, but not in the way you want her to. She needs to know if you like her first. So make the first move already."

Honda smiled. "Thanks Mai. I guess I will."

They all agreed then that they were hungry and breakfast was eaten.
Jou and Mai kept looking at each other and Mai rubbed her foot up and down Jou's leg, which made him giggle madly. Everyone else at the table thought it was cute and were very happy for them.

Yuugi sat there chewing his straw silently. Seeing Jou so happy, having finally got enough courage to admit his feelings, reminded Yuugi of his secret love for his best friend and soul mate Yami.

'I must tell him, even if he doesn't feel the same way.' Yuugi thought, drifting away from the table conversation.

"Hey Yuug, you okay?" Jou asked him, bringing his friend out of the trance.

"Huh, oh ya Jou, I just uh, need to talk to Yami now, so I'll see you guys later." Yuugi said too quickly.

He rose and departed from the coffee shop.

"Bye!" Everyone said after him.

Well, how was it? Bad, good, what? Review if you have anything to say about it, that would make me happy. The next chapter is juicier still, it contains some nice ticklish bits with Yami and Yuugi, and a citrusy lemon. I'll get it out ASAP, it's written but is sloppy. Until then, See ya!
