Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Alexandrite Pendants ❯ The Evil ( Chapter 3 )
Turtle: Chapter 3.
RoseKitsune: Whyyy…???
Turtle: *glare* What do you mean, why?
RoseKitsune: Didn't say nothin.
Turtle: Anyway… Thank you Whitefangkiche for reviewing and entertaining me when I'm bored!!!!!! Um… do I have to answer your reviews? I think I did already.
RoseKitsune: HEY WHITEFANGKICHE if you are reading this, your story, Vacation in the Anime World, (on fanfiction.net) is really really good!!
Turtle: By the way, this is my bestest friend, RoseKitsune. She doesn't like Yu-Gi-Oh which makes her weird but-
RoseKitsune: I am not weird!
Turtle: Ahem. But she is in this fanfiction as Angel. So she requested to co-write this fanfic, although because her ideas involve crossing this over with Yuyu Hakusho, she is just here and did no part of the writing whatsoever.
RoseKitsune: Chapter 3 then.
Turtle: Rose, hou jou bek! (Swahili or Tswana - I forget - for shut up). Now I have a quick announcement to make, um, the last 2 chapters were a bit confusing, because, see, on MS Word when you type in a * line it turns into this funky line and that's what I had for in-fic scene transitions. Only it didn't show up on mediaminer!! Rrrrr… and I tried fixin it, but it messed up…. So yeah just if you're lost ask me.
RoseKitsune: ^.^ On with the show, now!
Turtle: Oops, almost forgot disclaimer. Rose! Now!
RoseKitsune: Turtle doesn't own Kurama yet but she's gonna buy him for me!!!!!
Turtle: -_- Rose, real disclaimer. *muttering* And if I bought Kurama, no way I'd even sell him to you…
RoseKitsune: Alright, alright. Turtle does not own Yugioh or any of its characters. She does not own Yuyu Hakusho or Kurama, unfortunately. *dreams off for a second* Yeah and she doesn't own Duke or Marik or any of them she only owns Amber, Ari, Angel, Kristian, and sum other people whom have not been yet introduced.
Turtle: Thank you, Rose. So you can't sue me. Got it? GOT IT???
RoseKitsune: On with chappie 3!
Turtle: Yeeah… what happens in chapter 3 again?
RoseKitsune: x.x

Amber scrambled up off the ground. A figure draped in a long white robe was rising out of the ground. Amber closed her eyes tightly, then opened them. The mist was gone. The light was gone. The figure wasn't. Amber blinked. Her eyes were coming into better focus, and she could see the figure - the woman - clearly now.
Her dark skin contrasted with her hypnotic blue eyes. Her long, dark hair was hanging at her sides. Her age seemed completely impossible to determine. She could have been twenty, thirty, Amber couldn't tell. Her white and cream robes brushed the ground.
And around her neck was a silver bird-shaped object hung on a thin silver chain.
"Who are you?" Amber repeated. "What are you doing here?" The woman stared unblinkingly at her. Amber was now beginning to get scared. She stepped back. And tripped over the soda again. Hurriedly she stood up and backed away further.
"I have come on a quest that another has sought before," she replied. Her voice was misty and sounded far away.
"Huh?" Amber blinked.
"No, it is not you. You are not who I am searching for…" she paused. "And yet, you are."
"I repeat. Huh?" Amber raised an eyebrow.
"Tell me, Amber," she started. "How much do the two of you know about the past?"
"Wait. Hold on. How do you know my name?" Who the heck is this? she thought.
"I know more than just your name. Now I must ask you once again, what does she remember? Or must I find out myself?" The woman took a step towards Amber.
"Hold on a second. What do you mean, find out yourself?" Amber was starting to get more than frightened. The woman shook her head.
"Amber, do not be afraid. I am not going to hurt you. Where is she? I desire to speak with her. You and her both must know…" She shook her head again.
"Whoa, wait. Who's she?" Maybe I can put this off long enough for Angel or Kristian to finish, she thought. Wait, I don't need them, Ari can help…oh, wait…
"Where is Ari?"
Amber gasped. She began to back away. The woman took another step towards her. She wanted to run away, but she was paralyzed.
"Ari, I have to talk with you."
Ari materialized next to her.
//Amber, who's this?//
/I…I don't know. Help./
"Who are you?" Ari questioned, stepping in front of Amber. The woman smiled.
"My name is Shanya, and I have not come to hurt you. I came in search of a wrong-doer, for something has upset the balance of good and evil once again…" Shanya shook her head. "It doesn't matter, at least not right now. Now, you must tell me, Ari, what do you remember of your past?"
/Don't tell her anything, Ari./
//I trust her.//
/No! Don't!/
//I trust her, Amber.//
"Nothing. And that is the truth. Nothing." Ari looked Shanya straight in the eye. "I remember… the Alexandrite Pendants are seven magical objects. The end."
Shanya shook her head. (a/n: She has this thing for doing that. Like Amber blinks a lot.)
"So you do not remember your past? Your life? Or, why, perhaps, you were imprisoned?" Shanya asked, taking another step towards her.
"Um, well, no. Not really. I don't remember anything…" Shanya sighed.
"Long ago, Egypt was split into two halves, Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. At first, they were kingdoms of peace, but a war broke out between them. Ari, you sealed yourself in this pendant for a reason not many know."
"I SEALED MYSELF?" Ari couldn't believe it. She had sealed herself into this pendant, faced the life of one who must live through another?
"Yes, Ari, although I am one of few who know it. You sealed yourself to avoid punishment. Your death punishment, do you not remember?" Ari stared.
~*Flashback*~
Hands were binding her to the cold stone…
People were shouting, screaming…
All she could see was dark and light…
Someone was calling out to her… someone was calling for her…
"Ari, I swear I'll see you again someday! I'll see you again, I promise!"
This person was someone she could trust…someone she loved… someone she must see again…
"I promise too! I will see you again!" she yelled.
Someone was approaching her… a girl her age with short, blonde hair and menacing blue eyes… she had a dagger…
Ari knew she didn't have much time… she began murmuring an ancient chant under her breath…
The girl was getting closer… she was drawing the dagger above her head…
Ari finished the chant… she saw a flash of pink… a rush of silver… complete white… and total darkness…
~*End flashback*~
Ari shook her head. "I still don't remember…" Shanya sighed.
"It will come to you, in time, Ari. But now I must warn you… someone has greatly upset the balance between good and evil. Someone has disturbed the powers of the Darkness Realm. You need to stop whomever it is, before it is too late. Good luck to the both of you…" a white light shone, mist swirled around Shanya…
"Wait, come back!" Amber called. "I still have a lot of questions to ask you…"
"Good luck, Ari and Amber. Good luck…" Shanya sunk down through the mist and was gone.
"Hey, Amber!"
Amber whirled around. Angel. With the candy.
"Oh, hi Angel!" Amber shook her head and turned her attention to her best friend.
"Hey, what happened to the soda?" Amber glanced down at the soda and rolled her eyes - a six pack had exploded, its contents everywhere.
"Uh, I'll get Kristian to get more. You stay here, ok?" Amber muttered. She took off towards the grocery store entrance.

Ha, Amber. Ari, you think you're all that. You think you're perfect. You think you're great. But you're not. No, little Ari, you did something terrible. And people who do such terrible things should be punished. And you will be punished, Ari. You will be punished for what you did to me. For what you took from me. For how much pain you've caused. You will pay. I'll make sure of it. I can't wait to see you suffer, to see your life horrible. To see you and little Amber have the worst world you can have. I'll make sure you suffer every bit as much as I did. It's all your fault, Ari. And I'll make sure you experience pain like you've never felt pain before.
And then, little Ari, I'll kill you.
