Chapter 10

The three stood there, wide eyed, staring at the Elf in wonders and fear. She was truly a beautiful goddess but her heart was dark as night. She was currently having a giggling fit as she looked onto their faces. She turned to her left, blue hair flying in the distance, and walked away. "Were are you going," Bakura yelled after her.

"If you want to come then you're free to, but if you don't then you can stay and wait your fate here. I really don't care, but Ryou is in this direction." She taunted.

Bakura began to follow her but he was pulled back by Marik, "It's a trap." He hissed into the other Yami's ear.

Bakura yanked his arm back, "I don't care, I'm getting Ryou out of here even if it kills me,"

Bakura jogged off in the direction the Elf disappeared. Marik sighed, "C'mon." he commanded. He pulled on Malik's wrist and ran after him. They ran down a narrow pathway into a dome shaped room. The Dark Elf was standing on a podium with a pale skinned blond was standing next to her. Bakura was in the middle of the room glaring up at the comical elf. Ryou was nowhere in sight.

The blond was about half an inch shorter than the Elf but they shared that same death glare in their eyes. The only difference was that the elves glare was humorous and was directed at Bakura while the blonde's glare was directed at the elf. "Friends, we have gathered here today to celebrate a new uprising. Evil shall once and for all triumph over good and be able to roam the free world without fear.

"We have here a yami, a yami whose counterpart has kept him downtrodden and hidden from the light on the other side of tunnel. But we are here to help this yami. We are here today to rid him of his aggravation." The elf talked much like a Baptist preacher on a Sunday.

"Where is Ryou?" Bakura asked.

The elf's smile faded and she suddenly looked perturbed. "You shouldn't worry about him. He won't be a bother to you any more."

"What are you going to do to him?"

"What's with the 20 questions? Now you listen to me! We can either do this the nice way or the hard way. Now pick! Personally I don't care but I would prefer you pick the easy way, I break out when I'm stressed."

"You're nothing more than a bitch!" Malik yelled out of nowhere.

The elf smiled again, "Oh really now?" She asked amused. "I see you've chosen the hard way. Oh well, more fun for me." Out of nowhere a streak of blue ran up to the group and as soon as they saw it they realized Malik was gone. The streak went up to the platform and stopped at the Dark Elf. The streak was Antasu {1} and it was hold a struggling Malik.

"Malik," Marik yelled. He tried to move forward but out of nowhere a huge cage appeared out of nowhere. It barricaded them. Malik tried to touch it but it burned him "LET ME GO!"

The blue haired beauty acted as if she didn't hear him. She moved slowly towards the trembling light. "You know you should really learn to respect you elders. I was going to kill you swift and painless but remember, you choose the hard way. TIE HIM UP. " She commanded. Antasu tied Malik up to the one of the two pillars behind her, "Go get the other one."

As soon as he disappeared he returned with Ryou in his arms. "Tie him up as well." Ryou was tied to the second pillar. He was now conscious and trembling just as hard as Malik. "Now, lets forget about the pre-show and on to the main event.

Out of nowhere she pulled out a long silver blade. Marik and Bakura charged for the gate but were shocked back by hundreds of bolts of electricity. The Elf stood in front of Malik and smiled her evil smile. "May Ra bless your misfortune yet let us benefit," she prayed. She drew back the sword and plunged it through Malik stomach.

Malik locked eyes with Marik. "I'm sorry," he mouthed to Marik but that did nothing to sooth the pain he had inside if him. Hot tears streamed down the boy's face and he collapsed when he saw his hikari cough out blood. Malik would've fell to the floor if it weren't for those leather harnesses holding him up by the wrists. Malik tried to breath but his lungs were filling up with blood too fast. There was nothing anybody could do. Malik continued to look at his yami as he died slowly. "I love you," he whispered. As his last words spilled from beyond his lips, the purple-eyed boys heart beat once more and for the last time.

Marik fell to his knees and cried. It wasn't fair. Malik never hurt anybody. That whole Battle City crap was blown out of proportion. Marik tried to breath but for every breath he took he took more and more tears flew out. Marik was at his worst.

"One down, one to go," the bright eyed elf proclaimed happily. From an old fashioned jar she collected a small amount of blood that seeped from Malik's stomach. She smiled as she walked the six feet separating to two hikaris. Ryou looked at the elf wide eyed as she strolled over to him. "Now I get to finish what I couldn't in that alley."

"You're not going to get away with this," promised Ryou "I'll make sure that you're pay."

"And who's going to do that? You?" the elf snickered " I think you're forgetting one little factor. You see, you're going to be dead."

"I'll see you in hell, bitch" Ryou spat.

"Meet you there!" Kea {2} thrusted the sword into the pit of Ryou's gut. Ryou gasped as he felt the cold, sharp metal slide through his body. It was interesting. He thought it would feel worse than this. Maybe it was because he was used to the pain.

"You won't get away with this," Ryou swore to her once more.

Kea moved her body closer to his and placed her mouth next to his ear. "I already have," she whispered so only the two of them could hear. With that she twisted the sword in his body causing blood to squirt out and hit her white dress.

Marik watched in horror as his best friend's hikari was being slaughtered. He turned around to see a sight he had not intended. Bakura sat on the floor with his hand holding his stomach. "Bakura?" Marik asked as he crawled over to his friend. Bakura's breathing was labored and his eyes were bloodshot. They were fixated on to the beautiful demon that was destroying his light. But the way he was acting wasn't quite right. Marik removed Bakura's hand that was on his stomach and looked at it. It was painted red with his blood.

He began to cough and blood spilled out of the side of his mouth. "Bakura," Marik yelled at his friend panicked. What was going on? Bakura turned his head and looked at him. He breathed out and suddenly it dropped ten degrees {3} When he breathed fog flowed out as it would in the middle of winter.

"Bakura," Marik said for the third time. It was all he could say.

Bakura forced on a smile "Now I don't have to live without him,"

"Don't say that," Marik cried hot tears as he watched, for the thirds time in the past ten minutes, one of his friend die.

"I'll see you on the other side. Bud," Bakura managed to say before he finally managed to say before he slipped away.

"Don't worry Marik, it's only half time." She said smiling at his pain "The show is far from over!"

"You bitch!" he yelled. He let go of Bakura and stood up.

"Now, now Marik. That's the kind of shit that got Malik in trouble. And those two," she said referring to the fallen angels behind her, "They're the kind of shit that got R Kelly in trouble."

"Why is Bakura dead?" Mari asked. It made no sense.

"Because he was weak. We needed the ultimate evil," the elf explained. Suddenly the cage from around him disappeared. "He let his feelings for his light to get in the way of his goal. He once wanted to control the free world. He managed what few were able to do, steal another Millennium item by force. But then he had to get all sentimental on us and fall in love."

The elf walked off of the stage and walked towards Marik. "But you, you never let your feelings get in the way. You would kill your most loyal followers if they slipped up once."

"You weren't after him," Marik said in realization, "You were after me the whole time."

"Well, duh!" Kea said childishly. "If you hadn't shown up that night I would've killed that brat without a second thought. But we need the true evil. And now we have you."

Marik smiled evily, "All you had to do was ask."
