Yami: SHE BEAT KAIBA!!!

Meira: I know…

Yami: What happened to me? The date says Friday, May 28, 2004.

Meira: You'll find out…

GLTB: Sad chappie this is.

Yami: HAS EVERYONE READ THIS CHAPTER EXCEPT ME?

Meira: Yup.

Yammi: Lemme read it!

Meira: Fine. *hands him notebook*

Yami: *reading chapter* WHADDYA MEAN I-

Meira: *clamps hand over Yami's mouth* Don't give it away!

Yami: Fine.

Meira: Say the disclaimer.

Yugi: Meira does not own Yu-Gi-Oh!

GLTB: But she does own Selena and the Fairies. *shudders*

Dear Diary,

It's been exactly seven years since I faced Seto in my first duel ever. Now here I am, on a train from Tokyo to Domino.

Yami did regain his memory. He found out about his past. Then he left. Right after the Ceremonial Battle. He lost to Yugi. I felt like I had lost a best friend when he left… hell, I had. But that didn't stop me from living my life.

After graduation, Téa and I both went to America. She to New York to study dance. Me, I went to Illinois to study at the University of Chicago.

Yugi, Joey, and Tristan are still in Domino.

Tristan's sister gave him a big company after we graduated. He distanced himself from the rest of us. He didn't talk to us much anymore. He stopped being our friend.

The rest of us still talk on a regular basis. We still write letters. But there's a distance between us now. We talk less and less. We're all drifting apart.

Three years ago, I entered the North American Dueling Championships. I surprised myself by entering. I remember the finals. I'd worked so hard to get there. Yami would have been proud.

It was me against a guy named Neil.

I remember that I had almost given up. I'd collapsed onto my knees, ready to give up. That was before I saw the Ankh. The same necklace that Yami had given me. When I held it in my hands, I could almost hear him talking to me.

That was when I saw him.

He was transparent, apparently visible only to me. But I remember his words clearly…

"Selena," Yami whispered, his voice echoing. It seemed like there was nobody else in that stadium… just him and me.

"Believe," he whispered again. "Believe in the heart of the cards. You promised me long ago that you would never give up."

"I did, didn't I?" I whispered to myself.

"Never… give up," Yami whispered. That was when his apparition disappeared.

But I remember that his words gave me strength… strength only that I had felt once before… on the day that I had faced Seto Kaiba in that duel.

I finished the duel… exactly how I finished the duel against Seto. Ironic, yes. Very ironic. It was strange to me too.

The Sorcerer of Dark Magic… how many times had that card brought me victory? Unimaginable counts…

I remember that day… I finished the duel. I believed in the heart of the cards. I won.

Now, I'm going back to Domino for the first time in five years. Something that I never imagined doing.

Seto and Mokuba moved to Tokyo. They said that it was some big business deal. They never went back. Ever. As far as I know, they're still living there.

Kaiba Corp. is still doing well… it's still quite famous actually.

Kaiba Land has flourished. I had to admit… Seto really outdid himself in building an amusement park. If it weren't for Mokuba, I doubt he would have ever built it… but it was nice there…

I remember Yami facing Leon there… back when he was known as Leon Wilson. That duel was good… Yami never gave up there… he would never give up on a duel… ever.

I remember thinking about that duel last week during class. The teacher got mad that I wasn't paying attention, but I was willing to serve detention.

I'd been inspired to come back to Domino.

So, now I'm here… going back to a place that I left five years ago.

As soon as I get to Domino, I know where I'm going to go first.
