The gwythaints rip the beam that they were chained to right out of the wall, also following the King's orders. Yami, who, is running for dear life, is almost caught by the gwythaints. But the beam the gwythaints are chained to gets stuck in a doorway, forcing the gwythaints onto the ground.

Yami sighs and tightens his grip around Yugi, running around the twisting corridors until he reaches a kitchen. A cook, who is cutting meat with a rather large knife, looks up at the sudden appearance of Yami and his little brother. Yami turns back around to go the other way, but stops when he sees Marik coming down the hallway towards him.

 

Marik was running towards them with a grin, "YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE!" Yugi lets out a terrified squeak cuz the butcher had thrown his kitchen knife to Yami and him.

 

Yami quickly threw himself and Yugi onto the floor, just narrowly missing the knife and Marik jumped to them but flew right over him and into the butcher. Yami scrambled back onto his feet with Yugi still in his arms and ran past the butcher and Marik out into another hallway.

Yami goes through a door and locks it behind him. As he turns around he sees he's at a balcony, and a dead end. Yami looks over the wall and sees a moat below him. He puts Yugi up on the wall.

"Yugi, you have to jump! It's our only chance!" He starts pushing him farther up onto the wall as the door behind him bangs and clatters as the henchmen try to bust it open.

 

Yugi holds onto Yami's hand and looks down, he shivers, and he looks to Yami and shakes his head in fear. But he looks down, knowing he has to, he takes off the puzzle around his neck and puts it around Yami's, wanting him to have it so if they capture Yugi again, they won't tap into his powers.

 

Yami looks down at the millennium puzzle around his neck, then back up at Yugi, a small smile forming. He shakes his head. "Quickly! Go! I'll be with you soon!"

 

Yugi smiles slightly, "be... with me... soon" Yugi looks to the moat and gulps, and takes a jump, landing on the moat. He comes up and looks back up, waiting for Yami to join him.

 

Yami begins to climb over the edge just when he hears the door break down. He quickly scrambles up onto the ledge but is then taken right back down by a pair of hands. He looks back and sees Marik staring at him with a devilish smile.

 

"GOTCHA BRAT!!' Marik says evilly, he looks behind him and sees King Bakura walk onto the scene, he drags Yami over to him, "I caught him, Your Majesty! I caught the boy!" he says to his king with glee

 

Bakura let's out a raspy breath, glaring down at the little Egyptian. "Did you get the younger brother also?"

 

Marik paused, he smiles nervously, "I... didn't... he jumped into the moat... eheh."

 

Bakura grabs onto Marik's throat, letting his frustration out through his fingers, wrapped around the little Egyptian's neck. He then let's go of him after a few seconds of listening to Marik's strangled yelps.

"Take him to the dungeon!" He booms at the henchmen. The henchmen quickly obey, taking Yami down into the dungeon....
