From the parapets above, Marik and Bakura lean out a window, watching the spirits of Kruelna cross the drawbridge and begin the slaughter of everything in their path. Bakura smirks in ecstasy.
"Only moments away from victory! My greatest triumph!" His stomach filled with warmth at the thought of the earth finally being his.

Marik looks out to the view, "We did it sire!" He suddenly feels the cold glare from his lord on him, Marik looks to his king and smiles nervously, trying to fix his mistake, "I-I mean YOU! Yes, yes! Of course! You did it, Sire!"
Jou is climbing up a flight of stairs. He reaches the top and opens a door. An ax chops the door down as the spirits of Kruelna burst through the doorway. Jou let's out a little yip of surprise and hides under the sill of a window looking into another room, breathing hard. Yami hears someone panting and looks up, seeing the back of Jou.
"Jounouchi!" Jou turns around at the sound of Yami's voice.
"Friend!" He says in a whisper, trying not be found by the spirits of Kruelna. He slipped through the bars of the window, plopping onto a piece of wood that held the three up.
"You came back for us?" Yami asks. Jou nods vigorously.
"Jou is sorry he always runs away when there's trouble. He untie everyone! Then we leave this evil place!"
"Well, get on with it!" Ryou said with agitation. Jou quickly picked up a rock from the wall and banged the chains open.

Anzu watches him, "Oh, but Yami, that's impossible! Why you'd be---" her eyes widen cuz it she realizes what he's going to do, "Yami! No! You can't!!" she lets out a sob, "YOU CANT..."
"I'm sorry, Anzu. I have to!" He prepares to jump onto the tablet when Jou suddenly hops in fronts of him.
"Friend! No! Don't jump!" He says.
"Friend! No! Don't jump!" He says.
Yami growls, "Jou, get out of the way! If I don't do this, the whole world is doomed!" Jou looks down nervously at the tablet, then back at Yami.
"Yami have many friends.”He sniffles slightly, turning around. "Jou has none." Yami's eyes dilate in realization.
"Jou! No! DON'T!" He reaches for Jou, but is too late. The little creature has jumped over the platform edge. The stone tablet glows and a gaping hole appears, swallowing Jou up in darkness. Yami begins to cry. "JOU! NO!"

The stone tablets eyes glow a yellow/black color.
Outside, the Kruelna solders are staggering and falling into heaps and becoming dusty skeletons once more. Marik gasps, "Sire! Sire look! Something's wrong! What's happening to them, sire? They're- they're DIEING!" Marik looks back to this lord in panic, not just for the solders, but for his own life since Bakura usually vents out his anger through him and might think its Marik's fault.

Bakura growled loudly. "This can't be!" He turns his head towards Marik with slitted eyes. "This had better not be your fault!" He hisses, grabbing Marik by the neck.
Marik this time tries to at least loosen Bakura's grip by trying to pry Bakura's hands off. Marik wasn't strong enough to get his hands off his throat, with what he can use he suggested, "It n-needs another body, s-sire!"
"Yes, YOURS!" He yells at Marik, tightening his grip. He then walked away, Marik still in his hand.
Yami quickly climbs back down the platform onto the ground. "Ryou, get Anzu out of here. Hurry!" He said.
Anzu looks to Yami, "Yami, I... please come with us what are you going to do here?"
Yami looks back to the stone tablet. "There may still be a chance for Jounouchi ..." She looks back to Anzu. "Go with Ryou! Now!" Suddenly, the tablet gives a mad inrush of air. All the torches blow out and Yami is being dragged toward the tablet, now hungry for more souls. Yami looks up and sees an iron handle on the wall. Desperately, he reaches for it and holds on tight, his knuckles turning white.
The Thief King charges downstairs from his balcony above with Marik still in his clutches.

Marik was starting to fear for himself, for any longer that he was in Bakura's tight grip, he would surely suffocate and he didn't want to be sacrificed to the tablet like Bakura said he was, he starts pleading for Bakura to let him go, "Sire! Please! Have Mercy!"
Bakura ignores Marik's pleas and picks up a skeleton. "Get up! Come ALIVE!" He screams at the empty bones.
From Bakura's action, Marik was free from his grasp, he backs away, "perhaps they're just resting...” Marik looks over and yells to the skeletons in a complete panic, "DO something! MY LIFE IS AT STAKE!!"
"Get up, you fools! KILL!!" Bakura screams.
Marik suddenly spies Yami holding onto the iron handle, doing his best to keep himself from being sucked into the Stone Tablet. Seeing this, Marik smiles and runs over to King Bakura and tugs on his robes and points Yami out, "Look!! Sire, look!! It's the older brother!! It's HIS fault!! Yes! HE'S the cause of it!!"
Bakura pushed Marik away in agitation. He walked over closer to Yami, towering over the boy. "You've interfered for the last time!" He screamed at him.
Marik laughs madly at the sight, "HAHA! GO FOR HIS THROAT, SIRE!" he says, excited that Bakura's going for another's throat than his own.
"Now, farmer, you shall DIE!!" He grabs Yami by the front of his shirt, holding him out in the open at the mercy of the stone tablet's hunger.
"No! Please!" Yami struggled, trying to escape but unable to. Bakura's eyes suddenly widen as he begins to slide across the floor.
"What is this!?" The tablet sucks in a gigantic amount of air, causing the Thief King to move closer the tablet. He looks towards Yami ad snarls. "No, you'll not escape!" He screams at him. Pulling him higher into the air, he smirks. "You will feed the tablet's hunger!"
He throws Yami toward the tablet. Yami, too weak to move, lays still and claws at the ground. Pleased with his work, Bakura makes his way toward the staircase leading to the balcony. Yami, seeing that he's leaving, tries harder to crawl away from the stone tablet. Ryou and Anzu watch nervously from a parapet above.

Anzu's eyes fill to the brim with tears seeing Yami in his state. She cries out, "YAMI!"
The tablet was not pleased seeing a soul from Kruelna escaping. It makes another huge inrush if air, causing the Thief King to slip closer to it. Bakura then realizes what the tablet was trying to do.
"No! You'll not have me! My power cannot die!" He screamed at the tablet. His grip on the floor continued to slip until he was right next to it, holding onto the very edge, trying to push away form it. "Don't! STOP!"
He screamed as the tablet literally ripped the very flesh off of his skin and then sucked in the dust of his bones. He deteriated in a flash, then the air was still. Everything was silent. The fall of a pin drop could have been heard.

Marik was watching the scene from above, he watched in horror as his lord was taken by the tablet, he covers his mouth as he trembled, "Oh no! H-how horrible! Poor sire! H-he's gone! Gone forever...”
Marik lowers his hands, but as they reach contact with this throat, he finally realizes that he's IS gone and he's not going to be punished whether or not it was his fault. Marik smiles, "he's gone... heheh... he's GONE! GONE FOREVER AND EVER! HAHAHAHA!"
And with that, Marik quickly walked away, the echoes of his joyful laughter following him.
