I'm sorry to those of you that know all the cards, I've not been able to find out what all the cards are. I also do not own the song being played, that is the sole property of the band 3 Doors Down. Chapter Eleven: Take it all Away.

Summary: The duel has come, who will be victorious? Will Yami and Yugi be able to play Exodia? Will Raine bring forth Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon? Exactly how much power does Dark-Eyes actually possess? Read to find out.

A/N: Thank you to Gypsy for her awesome review, and thanks for the idea! I might actually take you up on it, yea, Eric would be a great item holder, we'll see. Raine has a bit too much on her mind right now. Also, I'm apologizing for taking liberties with the game, Exodia forming does not mean an automatic win. His attack will be set at 8000 and defense at 7000. And for further note, I am letting the God cards stay with Yami/Yugi, Seto, and Malik/Merrik. This will be explained at a later time, and for the cards that have attack and defense listed, which I think is only Obeslisk, the attack and defense of that card will be listed at 9000 straight across. So they are powerful cards. Please review and let me know how I did with my first duel, thanks.

The music being pumped through the speakers spoke to Raine. She had always loved this type of music, rock with just enough angst to pass as metal. Yami and Yugi were arranging their deck on their side of the duel arena, and Raine was preparing her side deck, she never used it, but she knew that she might as well present everyone with the cards she had been asked to return. The monsters were ready to be reunited with their true owners, and she was more than ready to return them. Raine never tried to prepare her deck, she had the cards that she trusted in her disk all ready to go, the duel waited for the two champions to start.

The prospect of watching a duel was enchanting, so the entire club was gathered around the arena, those who weren't close enough to see the two contestants were watching the duel on the three huge screens located throughout the club. The group of friends had taken the chairs that were on the side of the table facing away from the arena and turned them around to watch the duel, Joey, bouncing in anticipation of watching his best friends duel with his sister turned to the group and asked them all, "Who do you think will win?"

Ryou, ever the voice of reason spoke up, "I have no idea. Yugi and Yami have never been beaten, except when Yugi turned that Mirror Force on himself when you were under Merrik's control. I've never seen Raine battle, but from what I've heard from Rex and Weevil she is good, she must have been in order to beat Pegasus as Eric told us she did, but she's at a disadvantage. She's fighting two people. I think it's going to be up to the Heart of the Cards to decide."

Bakura nodded, "I agree with the squirt. It's going to be a close battle."

Merrik shook his head, "I never thought I'd say this, but I think that Yugi and Yami will win, their decks are exactly the same, the magic of the puzzle makes sure of that, which means they have twice the chance to create Exodia."

"They're missing some cards to create Exodia though." Tristan pointed out.

"Not anymore." Eric interjected.

"What do you mean by that?" Joey turned to Eric.

"So that's where she went! I was wondering why those three were so late arriving!" Seto exclaimed, he figured out what Eric had meant.

"Joey, how do you think Raine got a hold of your Red-Eyes? She had the missing pieces of Exodia. She traded them in order to return you monster to you. She has a back-up deck that she never uses, she said that she was waiting for the monsters to tell her who they belonged too. She basically gave them the chance to create Exodia." Malik told his surrogate brother.

"Can her cards overcome Exodia?" Serenity asked, "What about that Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon she loves so much?"

Malik shook his head, "If I remember correctly, Dark-Eyes isn't as powerful as Exodia. It is slightly more powerful than the Ultimate Blue Eyes White Dragon, but no where near the power of Exodia or the God Cards. I'm putting my money on Raine though. She knows how to duel, and she's in tune with the Shadow Realm. I think she can win."

Seto silently agreed, but he personally thought the duel would end in a draw. He was thinking about what Shadi had told them about Raine being able to heal monsters, and he looked over at the silent Guardian.

"Shadi, you said that Anakzana had the power to heal monsters, correct?"

Shadi nodded, "Yes she did, why?"

"If Raine is becoming more powerful in the Shadow Realm, do you think she can heal the fourth Blue-Eyes. The one I ripped in two when I was controlled by the darkness." Seto asked, reaching into a hidden pocket where he had placed the torn card after Yugi and Solomon had given it to him in a show of good faith shortly after they all became friends.

"How badly torn is the card?" Shadi asked.

"The card was severed in half. It is taped together, but I don't know about the Shadow Realm. What happened to the monster after the card was ripped?" Solomon asked.

"The monster was probably put to sleep by the Mystical Elf so that when Raine returned to the Shadow Realm she could heal it. That is the case with most creatures there, if Anakzana wasn't available right away, the other healing monsters would try toallieviate the pain enough for the monster to sleep until she could arrive." Shadi explained and them motioned to the arena, "They are ready to start."

Yugi looked across at Raine and asked, "How do we do this? Do I go then you then Yami?"

Raine shook her head no, "This is basically a handicapped tag-team duel, Yugi. You start, then Yami goes then I go last. Make your moves count, Angel. I won't pull punches."

Yami nodded to Raine and motioned to Yugi, "It's time to Duel. We won't pull punches either."

Yugi drew his first five cards and smiled, he had drawn the Dark Magician, Black Pendent, Mystical Elf, Left arm of the Forbidden one, and Curse of Dragon. He would play Mystical Elf face down in defense mode and played Dark Magician equipped with the Black pendent in attack mode. He knew that on Yami's turn, Raine's 4000 life points could logically be attacked directly, but he also knew that both he and Yami would wait.

"I play one monster face down in defense mode, and Equip my Dark Magician with the Black Pendent giving him an extra 500 attack and defense points and play him in attack mode. I end my turn."

Yami drew his five cards and looked them over. He had the Polymerization Card, Gaia the Fierce Knight, the Right leg of the Forbidden one, Gazelle King of the Mythical beasts and Kuriboh. He wanted couldn't play much, wanting to wait to use Gaia in a combo with the Polymerization card to Create Gaia the Dragon Champion. So he decided to play Gazelle.

"I play Gazelle King of Mystical Beasts in attack and end my turn."

Raine drew her cards and noticed that she had drawn most of the cards she wanted, she had Widespread Destruction, Ryu-Ran, Dragon Treasure, Lord of Dragons and Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon. She couldn't play Dark-Eyes yet because he needed not only the flute equipped to Lord of Dragons, but also two sacrifices to create. He was like a God Card in that respect.

"I place one card face down, and Equip Ryu-Ran with Dragon treasure giving him an extra 500 attack and defense points and play him in attack mode. I end my turn."

Up on the balcony the group was watching with rapt attention, the side closest to Yugi had decided to cheer for the duo, and the side closest to Raine cheered for her, the group were throwing jokes back and forth to each other, especially Eric and Tristan to Seto, Serenity and Joey. Eric and Tristan found themselves cheering for Yugi and Yami while the other three were cheering for Raine. Malik and Merrik were separated also, the hikari's deciding to cheer for one of their own, and the yami's for Raine. It was a friendly rivalry going on.

Yugi drew three more cards and smiled, he had drawn Dragon Capture jar, Swords of Revealing light and the left leg of the forbidden one. "I play one card face down and summon Curse of Dragon in attack mode, I end my turn since I know you've played a trap card."

Yami drew his card and said, "I also play one card face down, (it was Spellbinding Circle) and use the Polymerization card to Fuse together Gaia the Fierce Knight and Curse of Dragon to create Gaia the Dragon Champion. I end my turn."

Raine drew her two cards and smirked, she had drawn Graceful Charity and Summoned Skull. She would wait one more turn before she played her combination, "I pass this turn."

"Why the hell did she pass!" Joey shouted out.

"Be quiet Joey! I'm sure she has a plan. Za always has a plan." Serenity calmed her brother down.

Yugi drew his cards and said, "I equip my Black magician with the magic card Book of Dark acts which gives him another 500 attack points and play one card face down, (It was Fake Trap) I end my turn."

Yami drew his two cards and had to do a double take, he had drawn the right arm of the forbidden one and Dark side of the moon. "I equip Gazelle with Dark side of the moon raising his attack power 700 points. King of Mystical Beasts, attack Ryu-Ran."

"Not so fast, Pharaoh! Behold! Widespread Ruin. With Gazelle's attack it triggered my trap. Gazelle is no more."

With a roar, Gazelle was sent to the Graveyard. Yami ended his turn with a smirk, he was waiting for Yugi to draw the last piece of Exodia. They had kept in mental contact throughout the entire duel, and both knew that only one more piece was needed.

Raine knew that the two had a plan, so she needed to start her combo play now. "I play Graceful Charity, which allows me to draw two more cards. I also summon Lord of Dragons, combined with Flute of Summoned Dragon, which gives Ryu-Ran an additional 300 points. Ryu-Ran, attack Dark Magician!"

Ryu-Ran's attacked, but Yugi quickly ignited Fake Trap, "Ryu-Ran's attack failed, Fake Trap protected my Dark Magician."

At Raine's acknowledgment of her turn ending, Yugi drew two more cards, the magic card Tremendous Fire and Exodia. To summon Exodia they would have to sacrifice all the monsters on the field, and wait one full turn to attack. He quickly conferred with Yami.

< I got Exodia! Do you want to go ahead and play him. I think Raine is ready to make her move. I can hit her with Tremendous fire, which will take her down to 2000 life points, and then you can summon Exodia, what do you want to do?>

<< Let's do it. I have a feeling that Raine is ready to do something. Don't forget we also have to sacrifice 2000 life points as well as all monsters to summon Exodia. Make your move.>>

"I play the magic card Tremendous Fire to attack your life points directly."

Raine barely flinched when the wall of flame descended upon her, Kaiba's new Duel Disks made it seem so real, she could feel the heat, and could feel the pain of 2000 life points burning away. When the Flames died down, she drew a breath, and Yugi ended his turn.

"Wise move, Angel. Just hope it doesn't turn back onto you."

"This duel will be over before that. For Behold, We hold all five pieces to Exodia! With each of us sacrificing 1000 life points and the our monsters to act as sacrifice we now summon the Forbidden One!"

A sandstorm appeared on their side of the arena, hitting the two champions first and sucking away 2000 life points total, then the storm picked up Dark Magician, Mystical Elf, and Gaia the Dragon Champion and sent them to the Graveyard. All was silent until anunearthly moan sounded from the floor of the arena. Exodia was awakening.

Everyone present watched in complete awe as the Forbidden Monster appeared with a loud Victory filled roar that echoed throughout the club. They thought this duel was over. Yugi shouted with joy, he called out, "Exodia cannot attack until one full turn has passed, Which means you can play twice, so in order to prevent that, I play two magic cards! Swords of Revealing light and Dragon Capture Jar! Ryu-Ran is no more!"

Raine was shocked. She didn't see that one coming, but she got over her shock quickly, "Well Shit! I guess I'll just have to make do." she drew two more cards and smiled. I play Summoned Skull equipped with Kunai with chain in defense mode, I also use Monster Reborn to call your Dark Magician back onto the field, since I need a monster with over 3000 attack points in order to summon my creature. I also play two cards face down and sacrifice Summoned Skull and Dark Magician to summon my all powerful Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon!"

Dark Thunder clouds descended on the field, obscuring the whole field in a black mist until with a piercing battle cry the Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon, the king of all Dragon monsters appeared. The monster beat his wings to dispel the clouds affording everyone a glance at his glorious form.

"Since my baby doesn't have the power of your Exodia, I offer Lord of Dragons and Flute of Summoned Dragons to him. With their sacrifice, His defense and attack will rise to 7500 points." Everyone wanted in gross fascination as Dark-Eyes turned around and gobbled up Lord of Dragons. "I also play my last Dragon Treasure, giving him another 500 points to make him even to Exodia. I end my turn."

Yugi drew his next cards, he had drawn Slyfer the Sky Dragon, but knew that he would only play it if Exodia failed, he had also drawn Diane Keto Cure maker, which would come in handy if Raine was somehow able to get passed Exodia. "I play one card face down and end my turn."

Yami drew his cards, they were useful, two trap cards and Eternal Flame which would take 1000 more life points from Raine. "I play two cards face down and also play a magic card. Eternal Flame! Burn away her life points!"

The whole club was in amazement when Raine's Dark-Eyes turned to face her as the Flames shot down at her, they were even more amazed when the Dragon let out an enraged growl. Raine cried out in pain as she was engulfed in flames one more time, her life points dwindled down to 1000. She curled into a ball until the flames died down and then forced herself to stand up. She looked down at the field to see her monster struggling against the magical swords that held him.

"Stop! Dark-Eyes! I am okay! Get your mind back into the game! We still have one more turn to wait. There will be enough time for revenge!"

The monster settled down and Bakura took action, he and Merrik summoned Mind Crush cards to block the memory of the Dragon acting real. They used the card on all the viewers save for those at their table.

\Thanks you two. I would have taken care of it after the duel, but I'm suddenly so tired.\ Raine's voice was weak, they could tell she was exhausted.

^Do not worry about it. The Shadow Realm has been present to some extent since Exodia arrived, it's sucking you energy.^ Bakura explained.

Raine gave a small nod and called to Yugi and Yami, "I assume it is my turn? Very well then. I return the favor. I will play one card face down, (it was De-Spell which would negate the affects of one magic card.) And play a combination of Eternal Flame and Tremendous Fire. Attack their life points directly!"

The two grimaced and Yugi cried out as a hurricane of fire descended to bring their life points down to 1000 each. The next turn would decide it all, since the Swords would be removed then. Yugi couldn't control Exodia, so Yami would have to be the one to attack with the monster, so Yugi drew one card and ended his turn. Yami drew his card and placed it face down on the field, he also prepared to play his spellbinding circle. "I play Spellbinding Circle. Drain Dark-Eyes of his attack points."

"So sorry Pharaoh! But that will not happen! De-Spell! Stop the Spellbinding Circle in its tracks!" Raine smiled, and to everyone who could see Dark-Eyes for alive, so did the Dragon. Raine drew her card and placed it down in the magic and trap section of the field, she had drawn fake trap, she looked through her hand and found the second card she had drawn when she had played Graceful Charity, Megamorph, it would give Dark-Eyes a total attack of 9000 points. She placed that one also face down on the field. She ended her turn.

Yugi drew one more card, it was exactly what he had wanted, the trap card, Mirror Force, "I play one card face down, and equip Exodia with my own Kunai with chain, which gives Exodia a total of 8500 attack points. I end my turn."

Yami drew his card and and yelled, "Exodia! Attack Dark-Eyes Silver Dragon!"

Exodia powered up and shot out his magical attack only to have a hole in space appear to swallow up the magic, Raine had triggered Fake Trap just in time. "I played another Trap card, Pharaoh. Don't worry, it just stopped Exodia for one more turn. This duel is over."

Raine drew one card and then shouted out, "I equip my Dark-Eyes with Megamorph, which raises his attack and defense one level, giving him 9000 attack points. Dark-Eyes, m'love, destroy Exodia!"

With a rousing battle cry Dark-Eyes unleashed his most powerful attack, Dark Rays. He directed everything he had at his old rival Exodia, but Yugi triggered Mirror Force and the attack was trapped in the mirror. "I hold the end of this duel, Raine. Mirror Force, Direct the attack back to Raine herself!"

Everyone could only watch in shock as Mirror Force shot back the attack towards Raine. Yugi, Yami and Raine watched in wide-eyed amazement as with a terrible cry, Dark-Eyes suddenly appeared in the way of the attack, taking it upon himself, he was destroyed, an disappeared to the graveyard. The attack itself wiped out 900 life points from Raine, leaving her with 100 points remaining, but everyone watched in shock as she placed her right hand upon her deck.

"I withdraw." Raine stepped away from the field.

The table was in complete silence, actually the whole club was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Yami and Yugi left their area and walked to Raine. Raine accepted a hug from Yugi and a handshake from Yami.

"It was an awesome duel!" Yugi gushed.

Raine gave him a small smile. "I have to talk to Bakura. I'm not strong enough to open a portal to the Shadow Realm, but I have to go there. Dark-Eyes is in pain, and I can feel that there is another monster in need of healing."

"Why did Dark-Eyes do what he did? I know that Bakura and Merrik made it seem that Yugi had told Mirror Force to attack Dark-Eyes, so we're safe there."

Raine shook her head, "He knew I was too tired and weak from the fires to be able to take that attack and remain conscious. He was protecting me."

Yugi gasped, "I'm sorry! I didn't know that you were that hurt!"

Raine cuddled the little light to her, "It's okay, Yugi. Bakura had told me that the Shadow Realm was sucking my energy since Exodia appeared, it needed energy to keep from manifesting in the middle of the club. The three duelists made their way back up to the table where their friends were sitting, politely accepting praise for a well fought duel, but declining to speak to the many fans. When they got to the table, Raine found her arms full. Malik, Ryou, Serenity and Mokuba all rushed her.

"You were so awesome!" Mokuba exclaimed.

"Are you okay?" Serenity asked.

"I can't believe what your monster did twice!" Ryou laughed.

"I thought you had the duel won before Yugi played Mirror Force. Why didn't you use your second Monster Reborn?" Malik asked.

But Joey waited patiently. Once Raine had disengaged herself from the four, he walked up to her and gave her an enormous hug, "I am so proud of you."

Those few words caused Raine's breath to hitch and her eyes to tear. With a weak cry/laugh, she hugged her little brother, "You can never know how much those words mean to me, Jo-Jo. I am so, so happy to hear that from you. Thank you all for your support. It was truly the match of a lifetime, Mokuba." Joey let her go, and Eric and Seto stood behind her, when Raine made to head over to her chair, her head swam, she felt weak in the knees and would have fallen if Eric and Seto weren't there to support her.

"Za!" Serenity and Joey were at her side in seconds as she was helped into her seat.

"I'm okay you two. Dinner was the first meal I've eaten in over ten hours. The Shadow Realm just sapped my strength, I could really go for some food right about now." Yugi and Yami agreed and everyone sat down once again and called a waiter over to get some appetizers.

While they were waiting for the food to arrive, Seto asked Raine what he had asked Shadi earlier. He was shocked at Raine's answer.

"So that's the other monster I feel? I have to go into the Shadow Realm soon, probably as soon as we return to the Mansion. I need an anchor, and Bakura's help. Dark-Eyes is hurt, and he's being a pain in the ass to the healing cards. He's also pissed off about the little Blue-Eyes that's sleeping, I'm assuming that the dragon is female. He seems to believe that. Yes, if Bakura will help, I think we can all go to the Shadow Realm to take care of the monsters." Raine yawned, "Damn it!"

"What's wrong?" Seto asked, a hand on her knee.

"She's exhausted. Even with an anchor, she can't travel in the Shadow Realm tonight. I'm more than willing to help, and I think its time that everyone saw what the true Shadow Realm is like, so let's plan on going tomorrow night. After you rest, Raine, and that way all of us can take care of what needs to be done." Bakura had it all planned out and Raine was forced to agree with him.

The food arrived and the three duelists ate, a comfortable silence descended upon the table an soon it was time to return to the Mansion and to bed.
