Note: I made a mistake in the last chapter. I forgot to include Inuyasha in the battle royal. So it's Inuyasha vs. Yusuke vs. Kuwabara vs. The demon king vs. Trunks in the final battle. Well that's what it's supposed to be…Mwa Ha Ha<cough>

Chapter 5: Revenge

Kuwabara and Yusuke were watching TV in their hospital beds. They had just found out about the battle royal being held tomorrow. "I say we take out everyone until it's just me and you left," Kuwabara suggested. "Yeah, that would be the smartest thing to do, but I get the feeling something or someone is going to keep us from doing that."

About 5 hours later the two were let out of the hospital and went into deep meditation. Trunks interrupted them. "You're Yusuke Urameshi aren't you?" "The one and only." "Well I have a message for you. The demon king has dropped out of the tournament. He says he can depend on you to do the job." Yusuke was totally shocked by this. His dad threatens him not to enter the tournament but drops out himself? What was his dad trying to pull? And what job was he talking about?

Back at their suite Yusuke and Kuwabara were talking about their game plan. "I say that it's just one more guy we don't have to worry about," Kuwabara was obviously happy about the news. "Something is wrong with this tournament. I know my dad wouldn't have dropped out if he wasn't sure I could do the job. Now I have a real reason to win this." "It's to bad you aren't going to get that job done. You're not going to beat me." Kuwabara stood up. "Is that so?" Yusuke tackled Kuwabara to the ground.

It was 10:00 in the morning. Trunks was in the gym lifting weights, Inuyasha was fighting an invisible enemy with his sword, and Yusuke and Kuwabara were in meditation. They all wanted the championship for a different reason: Money, glory, to prove something to someone else, to let people know that they were not weak.

The fireworks went off just as they did in the beginning of the tournament. The fighters entered the arena. "Well this is it folks. The winner of this match becomes the 105th Champion of the Worlds. Fighters, get in your corners…. Fight!"

Kuwabara pulled out his Spirit sword and went after Inuyasha. He quickly reacted and blocked Kuwabara's attack with his own sword. "You're gonna pay for killing that brat!" Kuwabara went at him again and this time knocked Inuyasha off of his feet.

Yusuke and Trunk were going at it hand to hand. "You're pretty fast for a human," Trunks told him as they exchanged punches. Trunks then backed away. "But I'm much faster!" Trunks powered up into his Super Sayain mode. "So that's all you got?" Yusuke asked taunting him. Trunks hit Yusuke in his face and across the ring.

Inuyasha was bashing Kuwabara up. His face was already swollen and was out of breath. He ran up on him again and kicked Kuwabara out of the ring. Yusuke managed to get away from Trunks and charge up for one of his attacks. Trunks was in the air and aiming right at Yusuke. "Burning Attack!" "Spirit Gun!" The two attacks collided and Yusuke overpowered him. He was sent flying out of the arena. "Well he's not coming back anytime soon! Trunks has been eliminated!" Yusuke saw that Kuwabara needed help and ran after Inuyasha. "This is for Hiei!" Yusuke gave Inuyasha a spirit punch that sent him flying out of the ring. He ran to Kuwabara and kicked him a couple of times.

Inuyasha was angry. He knocked Yusuke out with an energy blast and T.K.O ed Kuwabara out of the match. "Ok folks, this is it. Yusuke vs. Inuyasha! Begin!" The two stared at each other for a moment. "You do know that you're not going to win this tournament, right?" Inuyasha was sure full of himself. Yusuke put his fist up and ran at his enemy. Inuyasha caught the punch. What he didn't expect was the kick that came up next. It knocked the air out of him. Then Yusuke put an elbow to his back, which sent Inuyasha crashing into the ground. He picked him up by the face and mercilessly punched him in the face until he could not recognize him. He let go of his head and Inuyasha fell to the ground, hard. "1…2…3…4…" He was already back on his feet. "So you can take a beating. Hold on, what jus t happened?" Yusuke noticed that Inuyasha's eyes were red and had purple markings on his face.

"Did you really think I'd just be letting you punch me in my face? You have unleashed a beast my friend, and it's not going to be pretty!" He could fell the immense power coming from his opponent. He teleported in front of Yusuke and picked him up by the neck and began chocking him. "Tell me, what does it take for you to give up? Oops, I'm sorry, you can't talk!" He threw Yusuke into the ground and pummeled him for a good 5 minutes. "Whoa, that does not look good. 1…2…3…4…5…6" Yusuke got up but he was in his demon form. "You know, you really, really piss me off, really!" Yusuke charged up for the Spirit Wave. Inuyasha charged his Demon Blast. They were going to use all the spirit energy they had on this one move. "Spirit Wave!" "Demon Blast!" A mix of purple and blue light covered the room. They both held their beams trying to overpower the other.

"C'mon Yusuke!" A voice said from the entrance. It was Kurama. "This is foe Hiei!!!!!!!!!" Yusuke was reenergized by the memory of Hiei. He overpowered Inuyasha and blew him to pieces. "The winner and the new Champion of the Worlds… Yusuke Urameshi!" The crowd was out of control. People were jumping up and down. Kurama came to the ring. "I know about Hiei." "How?" Kurama pointed to Kuwabara who was smiling at them. Them there was a voice over the intercom. "Congratulations Yusuke. Now would the new Champion come to the front of the arena?" Yusuke knew this was a trap, and he was getting ready to shut it down.
