Breaking All The Rules

Chapter XII

Warning: I will be attempting to write Chu, Rinku, Touya, and Jin into this story. I've never actually seen Yuyu Hakusho, so please don't hold any mss-characteristics against me.

Summary: She met him in Tokyo. Her father's city. She soon learns it's wrong, that it'll only cause them trouble. But she doesn't care. If they're caught, they could be killed. He's a Reikan. But for him, she's breaking all the rules.

Kagome was still at Ayame's house when her mother came home from the hospital. Inuyasha was the one that came to fetch her and ushered her into his fire red Ferrari. When they reached the house she happily hugged her mother and father before asking to be excused to her now fixed room. After only a few minutes Sesshoumaru followed her and sat down on her bed while motioning for her to join him. “You've been most upset for the last few weeks, as well as feeling ill, what's wrong?”

“It's nothing aniki,” she whispered as she leaned her head against his shoulder. “It just… hurts.”

Sesshoumaru sighed as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Just as he took a deep breath to begin talking he froze. Widened amber eyes first looked down as he dropped his nose to her abdomen and took a long deep breath before once more returning to her own silvery gaze. “Kagome, how long have you been getting ill?”

“About two weeks or so, why?”

“When you were with him that night, were you protected?”

“Protected?” she questioned as her confused eyes bore into his.

“Imouto, you are pupped.”

As soon as those words processed into her mind her world went black and she collapsed onto her brother. Sesshoumaru sighed as he lifted her up and placed her properly onto her bed to get some rest. They'd be able to discuss the issue when she woke up later on.

Silver eyes slowly opened as Kagome awoke the next morning and everything from the previous night rushed back to her. She had no idea what she would do, and she knew that her father would kill her when he found out. Rising slowly and getting ready she made her way to Kara's room where she called for Kina and confided everything to them. Both were sympathetic, but neither knew what they should do about the situation. Kara said she'd talk about it more later, but she had a lunch date to get ready for. She had offered to cancel, but Kagome was adamant that she attend and see Youko, to which the younger girl blushed bright red.

During said lunch, the kitsune noticed that something was obviously upsetting his date, so he mentioned it. “It's just that Kagome wasn't doing so well when I left the house today.”

“Is she still getting pretty ill?” Youko asked concernedly as he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into his side.

“It's not just that, but now we know what's causing it and none of us know what to do about it. When papa finds out he's going to go ballistic and kill all of us since we covered for her.”

“Calm down,” he whispered soothingly. “Now tell me exactly what the problem is.”

Teary violet looked into his amber and she buried her face in his chest, “Kagome-onee-sama is pupped and she's going to go through it all alone because Hiei-san hates her!”

Whatever the fox demon had been expecting, it had not been anything to that extent. Knowing what the problem was, however, quickly brought a plan of action to mind. He knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it so that he could once more see his woman smiling. Carefully he tugged her away so that he could look into her eyes. “I'm going to take you home so that I can fix this, but I need you to keep your cell phone on you, alright?”

“Really?!” she nearly exclaimed with wonder as he nodded an affirmative. Her arms once more enclosed around him as she hugged herself tight against his body. “Thank-you Youko.”

Youko easily found Hiei sitting, bored, in Kuroune's house as he walked into the kitchen where Shiori happened to be making a snack for the other two. His arrival brought what seemed to be automated greetings as he sat down next to the hybrid. Kuroune was the one to ask where he had been. “I took Kara out to lunch today.”

Hiei tensed but otherwise showed no signs of paying any attention. “Have any fun then?”

“Nah, she was too upset about Kagome's condition to do much.”

“Kagome's condition?!” Shiori demanded as she turned to the conversation and beat her brother to speaking. “Is Kagome-sama alright? She's not hurt is she?”

“No, not yet at least.”

“Not yet?”

“Well from what I heard Kara thinks that their old man is going to kill her.”

“But why would he do that?” Shiori asked as she looked at him fully.

“Before I answer that, I need to ask you something, Hiei.” He said as he faced the hybrid fully. Crimson eyes met his own and he continued, “do you still care for her? I know she told you the truth and now she thinks you hate her, but tell me, do you still love her?”

Crimson eyes widened at that as they met cool amber, “then you know about Kara?”

“I do,” he murmured softly. “I don't care about that; now answer my question.”

“I'm mad at her for many reasons, but I don't hate her. I couldn't hate her,” he finished quietly.

“Then make up with her,” the fox demanded.

“And how am I to do that? I doubt she'd speak to me willingly since I allowed the break-up.”

“I'll arrange for you to have a chance to speak with her tonight, just straighten things out.”

His eyes now narrowed, “why do want us to make up so bad?”

Youko sighed at that and stood to make himself a cup of sake. Once he had his drink and was seated he looked at the hybrid with an accusing stare. “You weren't careful the night you took her virginity.”

“What's that got to do with anything?” Kuroune asked with curiosity in his voice.

However, a dawning realization stole across Hiei's eyes as he looked to Youko for confirmation on what he was thinking. “She's pregnant?”

A grim nod was his response and with it was an urging to get his woman over so that he could once more make her his woman. He would not let her bear his child by herself, even knowing whose family she belonged to. It only made it worse that they were now more likely to find out the two of them were together and it could mean death for the both of them.

Kagome mindlessly sat in the car thinking over her situation as she allowed Kara to drive her someplace. Her little sister had begged and so she had finally relented and allowed her to take the wheel of her car. It was only when she noticed the familiar gates that she began to panic about where they were at. Kara was the one that tried to calm her down as she said that Shiori invited them over because everyone else was supposed to be gone all night. “Are you sure?”

“Hai, besides we haven't seen Shiori in forever.”

“Alright,” agreed Kagome as she relaxed back into her seat. When they reached the front door they were greeted by their hanyou friend with a smile as she ushered them all inside and into the living room. “How have things been with you?”

“Decent I suppose, but I've missed you terribly. And Hiei has been really sad lately.”

“Oh, he's not here, right?”

“What do you mean?” Shiori asked innocently as she looked into the crimson eyes of the man standing behind her friend's chair.

Kagome gulped as she turned her head and her eyes met his. She quickly lowered them and shrunk back into her chair. Hiei merely sighed as he strode around the chair, took hold of her arm, and tugged her out of the room. Kina stood to follow, but Kara quickly blocked her way and shook her head negatively.

When Hiei got her far enough away that the others would be unable to hear, he pushed her onto his bed and glared at her. “And when were you planning on telling me? I have the right to know!”

“Tell you what?” she questioned in a confused tone as she looked at him with surprise. “I've already told you everything.”

“Everything?” he questioned, “what about the fact you're carrying my child?!”

Shock quickly filled her face as confusion and fear filled her eyes. “How did you…? I… But…”

“Well?” he demanded as he continued to glare at her.

“I just found out last night… I wasn't sure if you'd want to know,” she whimpered as she cringed away from his glare.

He sighed as he heard that and sat down on the bed to pull her into his lap and nuzzle the side of her neck. “Why wouldn't I want to know? I'm going to be a father.”

“But I'm the one that's…”

“Honestly woman, I don't hate you!” he exclaimed as he knew what she was thinking. “I might be pissed off because you hid everything from me, but I could never hate you. I love you, onna.”

Her breath hitched as she heard those words, and then the dam broke as tears began spilling forth from her eyes and he wrapped his arms around her more tightly in comfort. “And I you, Hiei. Kimi o ai shitemasu.”

“I want to make something clear,” Hiei said calmly as he pushed her back to face him after a little while.

“Hiei?” she questioned in a worried tone.

“I'm willing to make this work, but no more secrets. I don't want to lose you and I understand why you kept it from me, but no more, alright?”

“Hai!” she agreed happily as her arms wrapped around his neck before he pushed her back and captured her lips with his own.

Kagome sighed happily as she lay on her bed waiting. Hiei had agreed to spend the night with her, though they both knew it was dangerous for them both if they got caught. It was getting close to midnight, so he should be arriving soon. The wait wasn't long before a tap was heard at her window and she opened it to let her boyfriend in. “No trouble sneaking in, right?”

“I easily got past the guards.”

“I'm not sure if I should be awed or worried,” she responded with a giggle as she let herself lay on the bed. “Thank-you for coming here though.”

“You asked me to come,” he murmured as he lay down next to her and pulled her into his arms. She quickly snuggled against him before a knock sounded on her door.

Kagome sighed as she rose to her feet and made her way to the door. Turning to look at her bed before opening it she sighed as she realized that Hiei had moved and hidden himself. Opening the door revealed her oldest brother and she smiled happily as he allowed himself in. “Who else is here? I heard voices.”

“Umm….” She responded as her eyes flicked around the room. “No one's here aniki.”

“Oh really?” questioned her older brother as he too looked around the room. In a sudden blur of speed he moved to a side of the room and grabbed someone before tossing them toward the girl near the door. “Then why is a Reikon in the house.”

A gasp was his response as she rushed forward and grabbed onto Hiei's arm. His growling ceased as his eyes instead moved to her, though his body remained tensed for attack. Her soft bluish-silver eyes turned to meet burning gold and she matched his glare with one of her own. “He's not a Reikon, he's my boyfriend!”

He quirked a brow at that before a smirk touched his lips, “I came to inform you that father has taken mother out for the weekend, though it seems you're already taking advantage of their absence.”

“I didn't know they weren't home!” Kagome exclaimed while turning bright red at what he was implying. “I just wanted to be close to Hiei.”

He sighed as he shook his head at her, “I will keep Inuyasha from your room as best as I am able, however I expect you to be in the dining area for meals.”

“Thank-you for not trying to kick him out Sesshou,” she murmured softly as she watched him walk out of the room.

“I'll have Kara bring your normal snack up later tonight, and of course I'm not kicking him out. You're carrying his pup.”

When he slipped out of the room, Kagome turned to face the demon that still remained behind her. Hiei was glaring at the door as she walked calmly to him and wrapped her arms around him. “Sorry about aniki, he can be a bit overprotective.”

“He's the one that knows about us? The brother that convinced you that our relationship would do better if we split up?”

“To be fair he based it on the fact that you didn't know about my family.”

“While I'm glad that you finally told me, I am angry that you broke up with me before I had time to think about it.”

“I'm sorry, I just thought that you'd want nothing to do with me after I told you that I'm the daughter of your gang's sworn enemy.”

“That might have turned me away from you in the beginning, but now I know you and I've fallen for you. You are mine.” The growl that accompanied that statement made shivers race up her spine and her heart speed up its beating.

“Are you laying claim on me, Hiei?” she asked softly as her sparkling eyes looked into his ruby red.

His arms wrapped tightly around her as he burrowed his face into her hair and inhaled deeply. “And if I am?”

“My clan has rules, you'd have to prove yourself capable of supporting me.”

“And if I did, would you be mine? Forever?”

“Hai!” she exclaimed happily as happy tears slowly began falling from her eyes.

His lips descended to her and as the kiss continued he moved her to the bed and lay her down slowly. Hands slowly caressed her body and removed her clothing while teasing and touching her body. Soft moans filled the air as his lips made scorching tracks down her neck, across her chest, and then over her abdomen to her female curls. Her body was irresistible to him and her taste was divine as his tongue caressed her lower lips, forcing more moans to fall from his woman's lips.

Kara stopped just outside the door as she heard the sounds that were coming from within. A deep blush colored her cheeks as she quietly set the tray of fresh strawberries on a nearby table. A slight consciousness touched her own and though it was a minimum contact she could feel the passion and haze of pleasure behind it. Embarrassment filled her as she sent the thoughts about the snack for whenever they were ready as she quickly made her way back to her own room.
