Yusuke picked up the blanket that had fallen to the floor when he had fallen out of bed. He was mumbling something about stupid toddlers and how he needed his sleep.

As he crawled into bed and covered his face up he herd the one voice that he never wanted to hear again. "Yuske wake up Koenma needs you for another case."All Yuske did was mumble something and roll over.

"YUSUKE! WAKE UP!" This time he was up, and pissed. He threw the covers back, and looked into the smiling face of Botan.

"Are you happy now I'm up." He said grumpily as he got out of bed, while throwing death glares at Botan. "What dose the toddler need that's so important to get me up at..."He looked at his clock. "11:30!"He yelled. "You will have to wait, and find out when we get there." Botan chimed. "Now hurry up, and get dressed." While she was saying this Yuske was already picking out a green T-shirt, and a pair of jeans.

"Where is Urameshi?" Kuwabara asked out loud, just then a portal opened in the room, and out came Yuske with Botan.

"I see you have finally decided to join us Yuske." Koenma said kind of irritated he had to wait so long. "I have a very important case for you. Our scanners have picked up immense amounts of spirit energy not too far from Hiei's, and Kurama's house. We have also found out who is causing it." He said as he clicked a button and a screen flickered on.

"Her name is Kagome she is a one forth fire one forth ice apparition, and also half inu-youkai with miko powers. I want you to go retrieve her then bring her back here." Every one looked at Koenma like he was nuts except Hiei.

"You want us to go and get a youkai that has a lot of power and could kill us?!" Yusuke yelled/asked. "What's the catch?" Kurama asked. "She has information on the Shikon jewel." Kurama looked shocked he had herd of the jewel, and how powerful it was.

Koenma not wanting to explain more than he had to right now started to change the subject. "Our scanners have picked up on her spirit energy no too long ago we think she might be in some kind of trouble. That's why I want you guys to go get her."

"Ok toddler but you have to promise me that after this case I can get a few days off." Yusuke said with a smirk on his face. "First of all I'm not a toddler so stop calling me that! Second of all you don't have a choice ! Now hurry up, and find her she could be hurt or worse dead."

As Koenma said this Botan had opened a portal leading to the living world. "Now go." Koenma said. "Fine." Yuske mumbled as he walked threw the portal.

Every one had walked threw the portal, and ended up behind a club. "I think we should split up to find this Kagome girl that way we can find her faster, and when someone dose find her they can get in touch with us using the communicators." Yuske said still in a bad mood. Every one agreed, and went off in different directions.

It didn't take Hiei long to find who they were looking for, he had only been searching for half an hour when he came upon a fight between a half lizard half scorpion youkai, and Kagome. The lizard/scorpion was green with blood red eyes clawed hands fangs the works if he hadn't had a scorpion tail you could have thought he was a full lizard youkai.

Then his gaze fell upon Kagome she had raven black hair that went all the way down to her knees. Her eyes were a honey/gold color she was probable a good five or six inches shorter then he was. She was wearing a shredded up white spaghetti strap tank top with faded blue jean shorts, and white gym shoes. That's all he could make out before she lunged at the youkai in front of her.

Hiei pulled out the little black communicator he pushed a button, and started to speak. "Every one I found her. I'm about half a mile away from Kurama's, and my house behind the old broken down warehouse..." He trailed off because nothing had prepared him for what the lizard/ scorpion did next.

Kagome was gathering up energy for a fire attack when the demon in front of her whipped out a piece of paper with a spell written on it that Kagome had never seen. He chanted some thing the paper ended up stuck to her stomach all the energy she had was gone, and she couldn't seem to use her powers not even her miko powers.

"I've herd all about you bitch, and how you have miko, fire, and ice powers so I decided to make a spell of my own it traps all of the power you have, so you cant use it." He said with a cold chuckle. Hiei knew he was suppose to protect her, and for some strange reason he wanted to but his curiosity got the better of him.

`What's the girl going to do now that she can't use her power?.' He thought as he watched with great interest. `Oh shit I'm in trouble normally I would love hand to hand combat but this guy is fast, and one slip up that tail of his could kill me in a second.'Kagome thought she was very hesitant to move, so instead the lizard/ scorpion youkai lunged at her Kagome just had enough time to dodge the attack, and rebound off one of the walls. She out stretched her claws, and scratched the lizard/scorpion youkai's face. He screamed in pain as his face bled.

`Where did she learn that move? How did she move that fast? I almost couldn't keep up with her.' Hiei thought as he watched the fight continue. Kagome had landed on her feet in a crouching position as the youkai turned to her his eyes were now a dark blue color he was snarling, and growling.

This time when he lunged at Kagome he had thought every thing through. She dodged again knowing exactly what he was going to do but Kagome was caught off guard when his tail came flying at her, she was able to turn so that he didn't hit any of her vital organs but none the less she now had a big hole in her stomach. As she was flicked off his tail, and thrown against a wall.

She put her hand over her stomach where the wound was she let out a growl of pain but her face never showed it. Actual there had been no emotion what so ever on her face while she had been fighting Hiei observed. He was about to step in when the girl made a fast leap that caught him, and the other youkai off-guard. Kagome moved so fast that Hiei didn't even have a chance to see her take the youkai's head off but what he did see shocked him.

Kagome was in a crouching position looking at him, and growling warnings to him that meant stay back or die. `Damn my vision is all blurry, and I have another youkia to fight. Why am I not healing is it because of the poison from the other youkai?...' She was pulled out of her thoughts when she saw the blurred figure move. She lunged at Hiei as fast as the poison, and blurred vision would let her. Hiei dodged easily still amazed at how fast she was moving even though she was hurt. She made another jump at him this time he dodged but got straight behind Kagome then he hit a spot on her neck that made her pass out and fall into his arms he lifted her up bridal style so he could carry her better.

By then every one had arrived and saw Hiei carrying Kagome he got skeptical looks from every one but all he did was `hn'. He walked over to the group when Botan saw Kagome she gasped. "What happened to her? Why dose she have a hole in her stomach?!" Botan yelled.

"She got in a fight with another youkai, and was poisoned." He said looking back over his shoulder where the youkai corpse was laying. "POISONED!" Botan yelled so loud everyone had to cover there ears except poor Hiei who was still holding the unconscious Kagome.

"What kind of poison was it?" Kurama asked after Botan had stopped shrieking "It was scorpion poisoning." he said when he remember the spell stuck to her stomach he peeled it off, and immense power rolled off of Kagome in waves. "Luckily I do know a remedy to stop the poison from doing any real damage to her. But she will need some where safe to stay." Kurama said missing the evil glint in Botan's eyes.

"Hiei since you let her get hurt you will take care of her at your house while I explain to Koenma what happened." Botan said evilly as she opened a portal to Kurama's and Hiei's house. Hiei glared at Botan before she walked threw the portal then he looked at Kagome. She had a red flame on her left cheek, and a snow flake on the right.

"Why does something tell me you are going to be more trouble than your worth?" Hiei asked right before he walked threw the portal.

Hey peeps I'm back again and I promise to start updating my other story again shortly but I have had some family problems my mom and dad are getting a divorce and a hole bunch of other stuff is going on that is making my life HELL. I will keep you updated if you like I really don't care, I haven't cared about much lately. Oh and if I don't get at least ten reviews for this chapter and at least fifteen reviews for my other fic I will not update that's a promise. Well that's it for now
