This is the last pairing for this story!! The Kuronue/Kagome pairing!!! There is a Lemon in this chapter!!! I will post a warning for those who don't want to read it!!!

Chapter 19: Ai Shiteru

"As amusing as it is to here you mumble to yourself Kagome I think that you should get off Kyuui. You're cutting off his air supply." Kuronue stated while offering her a hand up.

Kagome took the offered hand blushing. She then growled playfully at Kuronue and pounced. Kagome had taken to the habits of an InuYoukai from spending so much time with Sesshoumaru. Kagome barked playfully while sitting on him. Everyone was sure that if Kagome had a tail it would be wagging.

Kuronue pouted back playing with her. When Kagome let her guard down he pinned her to the bed beneath him causing a startled very dog-like yelp from the demoness below him. The Bat grinned at his victory and nuzzled his head into her hair whispering into her ear "I win."

Now it was Kagome's turn to pout.

"Fine…I give." Kagome said.

Kuronue released her and got off. As he was walking away Kagome grabbed onto one of his wings causing the youkai to yelp in pain. Kagome grinned with a little cat face on. She smirked and pranced up to Sesshoumaru standing behind him wrapping her arms around his torso and leaning her head against his back.

Sesshoumaru raised a brow at her antics.

Kagome on the other hand just blinked innocently.

Kuronue growled low in his throat when he saw there interaction. No one seemed to notice but King Enma and Inutashio. They glanced at each other. In order to save Sesshoumaru from being beaten on by a pissed bat they asked if Kagome would accompany them to her study to discuss some important matters with her.

Kagome just nodded her head.

With that everyone left to the study. They were all quite curious as to what King Enma and Lord Inutashio needed to talk to Kagome about. When they got to the study everyone took there seats either on the couches, chairs or the tatami mats or pillows placed comfortable in front of the fireplace.

"What is it that you wished to speak about?" Kagome asked her mask back on but not as cold.

"It's time for you to choose a mate." Enma said.

Kagome face vaulted as did everyone else in the room.

Her eye twitched.

"That's what the important matter that was that couldn't wait?" Kagome asked incredulously.

"Yes."

"Who?" Kagome asked.

This time it was King Enma and Inutashio's turn to sweat drop.

"What do you mean who?" Inutashio asked.

"You mean that you aren't going to choose my mate for me?" Kagome asked.

"No…That is for you to do. We are only telling you that you must choose one…within the fortnight." Inutashio replied.

"Within the fortnight?!?!?! How am I supposed to find a suitable mate in two weeks?!?!?!"

"Start now?" Was the weak answer from Enma.

~~~Kagome's Pov

They want me to choose a mate within such little time…Damnit…It has always been my dream since I was a child to mate with someone that I loved and loved me in return. There is no way I could fall in love with someone in two weeks none the less fall out of love with the one that im in love with now.

I glanced at Kuronue and sighed mentally. There was no way that he would ever return my feelings. All I ever will be to my gang is the `leader'. Kuronue…I thought longingly. If only…If only things had been different.

I glanced at everyone else in the room who seemed to be absorbing the information and saw how Kuronue's face was impassive. Oh well…I guess the saying runs true. ~It's better to have loved and Lost then to have never loved at all…~ I'd lost him before it had even begun. Why would he care for someone like me….But now that I've felt true love…Will I really be able to live without it? Not even with Hiei did I feel this…*Sigh*…I will just have to try.

~~~Kuronue's Pov

She…She has to mate with someone. How on earth am I going to deal with this? This was most certainly not expected. I want to tell her so much how I feel about her but im afraid that she will turn away and just leave me…Reject me.

Kagome…Why don't you see that im right in front of you. That I love you. I always have and always will…I just wish…That maybe you would look my way when turning for a mate. Just once I wish I could gain enough courage to tell you how I feel.

I glanced at her out of the corner of my eye. Her eyes were closed and her blue hair danced around her in the slight breeze from the window. Her lips parted in a sigh as she opened her fiery red orbs.

"I suppose that I have no choice then…."Kagome said glancing at the man that she called father. He shook his head `No'.

"Very well, get me a list with all of the suitable males and I will meet them and see which one will be proper to mate with." Kagome said in a tired tone.

I've never seen kagome so down before. I know that she doesn't want a mate yet…So why does she agree….Why does she look so utterly alone. Kagome rose and took off towards the window after bidding everyone farewell.

I won't lose her that easily. I want her to be my mate. Therefore…I'll make her see…I'll make her see how much I love her…Then maybe she can return my feelings.

I leapt out the window after my one and only love.

Neither of the two noticed the small smiles playing on some of the faces of the youkai in the study. They all knew though that deep down that Kuronue would make a good mate for the ice princess. They knew that Kagome's past was painful and she deserved someone that could and would always love her and never hurt her.

Kagome was running through the vast lands searching for a suitable mate. She hadn't noticed the cunning bat following her from above. She used the wind to help her along. She spotted a Kitsune clan not to far away. She sped off towards them.

When Kagome made her presence known to the Kitsune's they all kneeled. Kagome simply nodded and asked to see the leader. A young male kitsune by the name of Karu. He had to be about 11 with dirty blonde hair and light honey colored eyes. Kagome smiled gently down at the stuttering boy and ruffled his golden locks.

He beamed up at her.

"Yes, Lady Kagome what can I do for you?" The head by the name of Toumoku asked. He had light blonde hair and dark red eyes.

"Do you have any suitable male subjects that are within the mating age?" Kagome asked.

"Yes…I have 4…"He said cautiously.

"Please send them to the palace in 2 days." Kagome said.

"Very well but may I ask why you wish this?"

"It is time I take a mate." Kagome said before taking her leave.

~Kagome…Why do you let them boss you around. You should take a mate when your ready to…~ Toumoku thought. He knew that deep down Kagome really did love someone but didn't want to admit it to herself or to that person for fear of being hurt again…~Take risks little one…For if you hesitate you will be sure to fall…~

Kagome walked away her heart breaking with every step. She heard every thought from Toumoku. But she didn't want to be hurt. She stood on a cliff overlooking her lands. Or at least a section of it. She sighed…Some things were just not meant to be. Besides if Kuronue had any romantic feelings to her wouldn't he have said anything?

"Kuronue…I really wish I could tell you how I feel…" Kagome whispered to the wind not knowing that a certain bat had indeed heard it.

Kagome started to sing a song expressing herself through the words…

She sighed to herself when she finished. Before Kagome could jump down the rocky mountain into the trees she was stopped by Kuronue himself. Kagome blanched and prayed to Kami-sama that he hadn't heard her.

"Hey Kuronue…What can I do for you?" She asked him.

"Kagome…I need to talk to you…" He said.

Kagome gulped and nodded. She followed him into a cave that was embedded in the side of the cliff.

"Yes Kuronue…"

"I don't want you to mate with one of the suitors coming for you…" He said. Now Kagome's face took on a look of confusion before she hesitantly asked.

"Why…"

"Because…I don't want to let you go…I don't want to lose you…Ai Shiteru Kagome…I always have and always will. Don't...Please don't mate with them…I want to be with you…From now until forever…Be my mate, my wife, my love, my heart and soul…" Kuronue asked his voice shaking from emotion.

Kagome took her head in her hands removed the sunglasses that he normally wore. She looked deep into his dark red almost black eyes and smiled. Kagome kissed him full on the lips…

"Did you even have to ask?"

(Warning: LEMON AHEAD!!!!)

Kagome could have sworn that Kuronue's entire face started to glow from happiness and she smiled softly at the youkai who had stolen her heart before she knew it was even in danger of losing it…Even through all the barriers that she kept up he somehow sneaked his way in and implanted himself deep within her.

Kuronue placed kisses and nips along her jawbone and neck licking to soothe the nips he put. He purred into Kagome's ear and smirked feeling her shudder. Kagome didn't want to give him the satisfaction of him knowing the effect he had on her without affecting him somewhat.

Kagome growled and nipped at his neck where she would claim him harshly while licking and alternating between his neck and ears. "Ai Shiteru Kuronue…" Kagome whispered in his pointed ear before sucking on the sensitive lobe. He shuddered this time gripping Kagome tighter to him as she continued her torture.

Kagome kissed her way down to his collarbone and removed his shirt licking and nipping her way down his chest and stomach to his waistband. She looked up coyly into his crimson eyes. He nodded his approval. Kagome proceeded to have him completely naked. She pulled his hakama's down releasing his erection.

Kuronue gave a tortured groan as kagome gave a hesitant lick to the tip. She found Kuronue's erection to be soft and smooth yet hard and warm. The taste was a bit interesting. It was tangy and salty yet sweet. Acceptable, Kagome thought. She started to take in more of his long length into her mouth sucking and licking with that talented tongue of hers.

Kuronue was panting now. He was so close.

"Gods…Kagome that feels so good!!" He got out just as he exploded in her mouth.

Kagome carefully gulped the creamy liquid down her throat. When she was done she rose to kiss him hard on the lips. Kuronue could taste himself on her lips when he kissed her. Kuronue backed her up into the cave wall and kissed her deeper. He nipped at her lips and whined a bit to get her to open up to him. She opened her mouth letting him explore her warm cavern.

Kagome sucked on each of Kuronue's fangs and had a tongue war with his tongue. Kagome was brought out of the kiss by Kuronue's hands in her Haori removing it from her body. He eased her out of Haori and Hakama's as well as her undergarments.

Kagome purred when Kuronue started to kiss his way down her body much like she had done to him. When he got to her `flower' he grinned in what could only be described as predatorily and nipped at her clit, causing a squeal from said girl. Kagome panted harshly holding onto his shoulders to steady herself.

Kagome then shuddered heavily with pleasure as his tongue entered her tight passage darting in and out. "Kuronue" Kagome groaned out in pure pleasure. "Yes darling?" He asked.

"I need you…"Kagome said.

He rose from his position on the floor to standing in front of her. Then whispered into her ear in a husky voice. "Then you shall have me…"

With that he entered her in one thrust causing her to cry out in pain. She may not have had her maidenhead intact because of the fighting but she had never had sex before and he was quite large. Kuronue whispered soothing words and promises in her ear as he waited for the pain to stop.

When the pain from the intrusion dulled Kagome tried to push back against him. He pushed into her and pulled out in a steady rhythm back and forth in and out.

"Harder…Faster…" Kagome whispered into his ear.

Kuronue's wings wrapped around the two as he pounded into Kagome causing her back to scrape against the cave wall, but neither seemed to notice because of the pleasure they were feeling.

Kagome gripped his shoulders and wrapped her legs around his waist securely. Kuronue had one hand bracing them on the wall and the other on her waist pulling her toward him. He pounded harshly, rough and fast into Kagome causing her to let out pleasured sounds from her throat as he growled and thrust faster into her as he felt them both reach there peak he bit her in the area where her shoulder and neck met and felt the corresponding bite from her…

Kuronue's seed filled Kagome's womb in a torrent of hot lava. As soon as they were both satisfied they collapsed to the ground and laid on there clothes and used the outer haori of Kuronue for a blanket. The happy couple laid on the floor content for a moment…Happy…and complete.
