Last time…

Inuyasha looked at Angoli's back as they walked closer, waiting for her answer. "Hn." Angoli replied before she began walking again, a small smile coming to her lips as Kagome started chatting happily with Kikyo. Inuyasha smiled softly in understanding before he grabbed Kikyo's hand and began walking with them, listening to them chatter away.

Angoli crossed her arms in front of her and looked ahead, her head held high as she listened to Inuyasha and Kagome begin arguing about something or another. A smile came to her lips, glad things were somewhat back to normal. All they needed now was; %THUD% Angoli chuckled and glanced back at the dirt-eating hanyou, one brow rising as he muttered into the ground. She knew the routine by now, being she followed them since they started their journey.

She turned her head back around and furrowed her brows when she heard another thud, knowing the spell shouldn't have worn off yet. Kikyo's gasp of surprise made Angoli snap her head around, a worried expression on her face.

Kagome lay in a heap on the ground, her body finally giving in to her exhaustion. Inuyasha and Angoli both raced to her side, but Angoli was first. She checked to make sure she wasn't injured before picking her up bridal style. She looked between Kikyo and Inuyasha before taking a deep breath and stretching her wings. "She is exhausted. I will fly ahead with her to the hut."

Inuyasha nodded and stood in front of Kikyo, waiting for her to jump onto his back… and waited some more. Finally he looked back at her, one brow rising as she looked at him like he was insane. "Well, hop on woman!" he said a bit harshly, though a smile came to his lips.

Blinking, Kikyo got onto his back before looking over at Angoli, who chuckled in amusement before bending her knees some and launching herself into the air, her wings spreading and flapping to get them higher.

Miroku sighed heavily with a smile as he watched the clouds go by, a fresh handprint on the left side of his face. Sango sat against a tree, grumbling about `perverts, monks' and the promise of bodily injury once again. Shippou sat near Miroku, looking thoughtful as he watched the two. "Sango… when do you think Kagome will come back?" he asked, his ears drooping slightly as he thought of the young woman.

Sango looked back at Shippou before shaking her head sadly. "I am not sure, Shippou. I hope soon…" she narrowed her eyes at the woods, "Maybe Inuyasha did something to upset her again and she left before she came to see us." They all knew he had been sneaking off to see Kikyo the last few nights.

Miroku closed his eyes a moment, furrowing his brows slightly as he sensed another's presence. He snapped his eyes open and widened them as he saw the woman with wings flying towards them, holding something that looked a lot like… "Kagome!" Miroku called out, jumping to his feet and tightening is grip on his staff as he glared at the demon that held his friend.

Hearing his call, Sango and Shippou raised their eyes, gasping at the site before Sango grabbed her boomerang, glaring at the demon as well. Shippou hid behind Miroku's legs, looking up fearfully.

Angoli watched the three thoughtfully as she glided down, a small smile coming to her lips, as they got ready to defend their friend. She slowly walked towards them. "Relax, I mean no harm." She cooed, tilting her head to the side as they relaxed some as Inuyasha hopped behind her, stepping to stand at her side.

The adults nodded and walked closer. Shippou bounded towards Angoli and Kagome, landing on Kagome's lap as he sniffed the air, his nose wrinkling slightly. "You don't smell like a demon, but you have wings… what are you?" he asked innocently, earning a laugh from Angoli. "I am not demon, nor human, or spirit. I am everything." She replied, like it explained everything.

Shippou widened his eyes and nodded slowly, watching her tail flick back and forth behind her a moment before jumping and latching into it with a happy smile. "Weeeeee!!!"

Everyone but the sleeping Kagome and Angoli laughed lightly. Quirking a brow and smirking lightly, Angoli swung her tail a little faster, earning a small squeal from the kitsune before she walked towards Kaede's hut, Shippou still enjoying himself swinging from her tail.

Miroku watched her walk away for a moment before looking at Inuyasha and Kikyo, one brow rising. Sango stared as well, both waiting for some sort of explanation. Inuyasha raised his brows. "Why the hell are you two starin' at me like that?" he demanded in the typical Inuyasha-like fashion.

Sango sighed heavily and shook her head softly before gesturing at Angoli, then Kikyo. "Care to explain what the hell is going on here, dog boy?" she snapped back, folding her arms in front of her.

Inuyasha blinked and looked at Sango a moment, His eyes going wide as she practically yelled at him. "Geeze, ya don't have to yell!" he sputtered before turning away, letting Kikyo hop from his back before grabbing her hand and leading her towards Kaede's hut. "And I don't have to explain nothin' to you!" he yelled before muttering.

Sango glared at the hanyou, her brow twitching before she turned on Miroku, who was holding one hand out near her butt and pointing a finger at him. "Don't even think about it Monk!" she yelled before storming off after Inuyasha, her hands balled into fists.

Miroku sighed heavily and watched her walk away, his shoulders slumping. Suddenly he straitened and followed, his eyes firmly glued on her backside. A smile formed on his lips and his brows rise slightly as she bends some to enter the hut. `Ahh… this is the life…' he thought, before following her through the door.

Angoli sighed softly as she set Kagome down gently on a sleeping mat, her head tilting to the side slightly as she smoothed her hair out of her face before she stood upright and sat next to her, swinging the kit around to her face and smiling slightly. "You should rest as well kit… We have lots of ground to cover tomorrow, and I want to train you to use your kitsune powers."

Shippou nodded and let go of her tail, moving to curl up next to Kagome, yawning lightly. Sango watched for a moment before she approached Angoli, sending Inuyasha a glare before sitting next to her. "It is early... why are yo-" she stopped when Angoli signaled for her to be quiet. Angoli stood up slowly and walked towards the door just as Miroku walked through. "Come… we have much to discuss." She said to all who were awake. They looked at each other for a moment before following slowly.

Outside:

Angoli sighed and looked around, walking towards the forest. She stopped just outside of it and sat cross-legged at the base of a tree, her hands folding in front of her and her eyes closing. "Alright Inuyasha. You should be the one to explain yourself, but I will, so I can tell the entire story." She opened her eyes and watched them settle in a circle around her, a look of fear in Inuyasha's eyes.

Sango glanced at Angoli before narrowing her eyes at Inuyasha. Angoli cleared her throat. "Inuyasha and Kikyo are mates now. Kagome happened upon them, and ran away towards the God tree." She looked over at Inuyasha, her jaw clenching tightly before she continued. "I found her at the base of the tree, crying harshly. Anyhow, I should explain who I am at this point." She looked at everyone to make sure they didn't have any questions.

Sango narrowed her eyes at Inuyasha and scoffed. "Figured as much." She muttered before looking at Angoli again. "Like I told Shippou, I am not a demon, but not human or a spirit. I am everything, I control all the elements, can talk telepathically, and read minds, ect…." She waved a hand as they stared at her in awe. "Tis nothing really…" she said before leaning forward a bit. "But the most important thing I am is a protector. Kagome's to be exact." She leans back against the tree, letting them get used to the idea.

Miroku listened in interest, his brows quirking slightly as he smiled and nodded enthusiastically. "A Armenia! There are only a few of those in existence…" he said excitedly. "I never thought I would actually see one!"

Angoli chuckled lightly and nodded her head. "I am pretty much the last of my kind. Well, with my kind of powers anyhow." She furrowed her brows slightly. "Anyhow… we must get the rest of the shards as soon as possible. The fate of the world depends on it." She stood quickly. "Tomorrow we pay Kouga a visit."

Inuyasha wrinkled his nose before looking over at her. "Do we have to?" he almost whined. "Hey! How'd you know bout him?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he stood, helping Kikyo up.

Angoli looked back and winked, her tail curling around her waist. "I know everything." She said simply, leaving the four to think about her words for a while.
