KD: I'm so evil to Kurama…

Kurama: *Suspiciously* How?

KD: I'm setting you up on a blind date!

Kurama: What?! With who?!

KD: I'm not going to tell you, it's a blind date…

Sarah: *Walks in* I know who it is!

Kurama: Who!?

Sarah: Nope, not saying!

Kurama: *Looks ready to strangle someone*

KD: *Sweatdrop* Anyway…ON WITH THE FIC!

Chapter 6: The Triple Date

Kurama, Korye, and Hiei were on their way to Lake Thunderbird. "Why are we gong here again?" asked Kurama.

"Because Sarah lives out here, and that's where our "date", as Sarah put it, is going to be," replied Hiei.

"Oh," said Kurama.

They got to the lake and got out of the car. "Thanks Mom," said Korye. His mom had driven.

"You're welcome dear. Call me when you want to come home."

"Alright."

The boys walked to the lakeshore, where one girl was swimming, and two girls were on shore, fishing. All three were wearing bikinis.

Sarah noticed the boys first and got up to go greet them. "Hey guys, I hope you brought your swimsuits," she said.

Kurama and Korye nodded, Hiei just `hn'ed.

They looked at the girls. Sarah was in a bright blue bikini and a pair of blue shorts. Amanda, the one swimming, was in a pink bikini, but a pair of matching shorts was on the shore near a third fishing pole. The third girl, who still hadn't turned around, was wearing a dark blue bikini and shorts. She was the only one with her hair put up. It was a simple ponytail.

Amanda had swum to shore and was walking up to the third girl. She whispered something in her ear before walking up to join the boys and Sarah.

The girl stood up and turned around. It was Kenny.

She looked at Kurama and turned as red as his hair. She turned to Sarah. "Whose idea was this?"

"Umm…Mine, Hiei's, and Amanda's," she replied nervously.

Kenny muttered something and stomped off. Everyone stood there for a second. Kurama finally started after Kenny.

"I'm sorry Kenny. They tricked me into this too."

"It's…not that. It's the fact that they knew…"

"Knew what?"

"That I'm not supposed to go out. They said they wouldn't pull this kind of crap…"

"So you don't want me here?" Kurama started to turn and walk off with a sad look on his face.

"It's not that, it's just…" She sighed.

"What?"

"Nevermind. It's nothing." She didn't say that her stepfather would beat her. He always knew when she had spent time with a boy.

"Are you…"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Let's go have some fun!"

He smiled and they walked back to the beach.

~5 minutes ago, with the others~

"That was a bust…" Sarah said.

"No joke. I don't think I've ever seen Kenny that mad…" replied Amanda.

"Well, we tried…" said Korye. "You wanna keep swimmin', Amanda?"

"Umm…Sure." They went to the lakeshore and swam.

`Hn…Stupid humans…' Hiei thought.

His thoughts were interrupted when Sarah asked, "So, what do you want to do?"

He just stared at her. "You want to swim?" More staring. "I take that as a no…Hmm, what else can we do?" Hiei waited. "Well, you wanna go for a hike, maybe?"

He nodded and she smiled. They walked into the trees.

Just then, Kenny and Kurama got back to the lakeshore. Kenny was laughing. "Really?" Kurama nodded and she laughed again.

They walked over to the fishing poles. "Hey Amanda, can Kurama borrow your fishing pole?"

"Sure!" she called back, getting a mouthful of water when Korye splashed her. Kenny picked up her pole and handed it to Kurama, then began to walk off.

Kurama stared at her. "What, go fishing here, with those two splashing around like monkeys?" She had a point, so Kurama followed her to a quieter spot. They cast their lines, and waited patiently for the fish to bite, talking while they waited.

~With Sarah and Hiei~

They had stopped to rest. Sarah took a drink from the water bottle she'd brought along. Hiei watched her.

"Why do you hang out with Kurama and the others?" she asked.

He simply stared at her. "I mean, you're way different from them. You're quiet, and obviously really angry a lot. They're goof-offs…"

"Who I choose as friends is none of your business," he snapped, surprising her and himself.

"I know that. I was just saying…" she said. He stared at her, wondering just where she got the nerve to talk to him the way she did…But it didn't matter. He, Hiei, would not fall for a human like that idiot, Kurama. He couldn't love…Right?

KD: Ooh, I'm evil!

Kurama: So I have to be Kenny's boyfriend?

Sarah: Yep! And I get Hiei! *Does happy dance*

Hiei: Why did you pair me with that baka onna?!

Sarah: Who you callin baka onna, you…
