Disclaimer: okay people, I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, any Inuyasha character that is mentioned and the Shikon no Tama, just Suiichiro, Kit, and other un-important people named here. This chapter is gonna be short, gomen! Please, read and review.

Chapter Five: Near Death and Taken

As Youko and Kuronue ran through the bamboo thickened forest, Kit was facing problems of her own, fighting off Naraku.

"Why do you want this small jewel shard? And further more, why do you want me?" Kit questioned the baboon covered man as he slowly approached her. "That jewel shard may be small, but it has the power that every single demon and human desires it. And as for you, Kit, you would be the perfect queen for me to have when I rule this world. So now, I give you a choice, hand over the jewel shard and come with me to reign over all these weak pathetic beings or you can stand your ground and die. You choose, but choose wisely my dear little kitsune." Naraku slowly relieved himself of the baboon pelt around him, to reveal a tall man with long wavy black hair tied up in a ponytail. Eyes colored the same as blood, strong well-built body covered up with a yukata. (A/N: is it a yukata or a kimono? O.O???)

"Naraku! Grrrrr. If those are my only options, then I choose to stand my ground! I'd rather die than to be your queen!" Kit yelled as she took her famous fighting stance.

"How disappointing. And here I was, hoping that you would choose to stand by my side. Tell me, if you'd rather die than to be with me, than you must have someone in your heart that you love. Who is it?" Naraku said as he took his own fighting stance.

"Their names are Youko and Kuronue. And they mean the world to me! And for them, I'll never join the side of another," Kit closed her eyes, breathed in one last breathe and then, "Spirit Blast!" With those two words spoken, a blinding flash of light engulfed both Kit and Naraku.

"Kit!" both Youko and Kuronue yelled as they both felt her spirit energy quickly rose and then disappeared. "Come! Kit is in trouble and needs are help." Youko ran in the direction of her spirit energy when it was felt with Kuronue flying up ahead.

Kit, lying emotionless on the ground, completely used up her spirit energy. But, not only her spirit energy, but her life energy as well. Naraku on the other hand, was no where to be found, all that was left of him is his burnt baboon pelt. As Kit's body lay still on the ground, little snow droplet sized lights fell upon her. Engulfing her body in a blinding light, and then, she was gone. And all that was left is her jewel shard.

"Kit!" Youko yelled as he ran into the clearing, only to find no Kit, no bodies, nothing, but the debris (A/N: it's pronounced as duh-bri) left over from the explosion of energy. As Youko slowly walked up to the very spot that Kit was in, he spots and picks up her jewel shard. "Kit." He whispered as Kuronue flied down next to the burnt baboon pelt.

"Youko, where's Kit? Is she…no she can't…could she? Please tell me I'm wrong. Tell me she's coming back, tell me she's okay. Dammit! Tell me something!" Kuronue yelled as he balled his hand into a fist, squeezing soo hard that blood started to trickle down his hand.

"Kit, she's…she's….gone. I can sense her, but she's gone. She was taken after she was nearly dead. Kit, please, please be alright," Youko whispered to himself as he closed his eyes to try to see Kit's face once more. But, the only thing he could see was their argument from early. "Kit, I'm sorry."

"Youko." Kit whispered as she falls into her unconscious state once more.
