Inuyasha along with the other males in the pack was on their feet when Sango and Kagome came back with Kohaku and Kanna. But when the young couple fell to the ground in a humble position, they relaxed, but just a tiny bit. But as long as Kanna was without her mirror, it was pretty safe. Sesshoumaru walked over to the two, he had Rin hiding behind his legs. But when the young girl saw the painful expression, the sadness inside the boy's eyes she rushed forward and hugged Kohaku.
- Kohaku-kun, don't be sad, she said with her tiny voice.
- Thank you Rin-chan, your affection means a lot to me, said Kohaku and hugged the little girl. The girl he once had been ordered to kill. "Will the hurt ever stop?"
- Nice to meet you Rin-chan, said Kanna with soft voice and took Rin's hand. - Kohaku-kun has told me about you, and I think you are a brave little girl.
- Who are you? asked Rin.
- My name is Kanna.
- Kanna-san, it is nice to meet you too, said Rin with a wide smile.
Rin's open display of emotions made the camp a little bit more relaxed. Sesshoumaru took Rin's hand and led her away from the young couple; he did not trust them at all. Not after what Kohaku had tried to do to his pup, and Kanna, well she was born from Naraku himself, that was enough.
- We have to warn Inuyasha-sama and his new mate, began Kanna and looked towards the hanyou and the deity.
- Why? snorted Inuyasha a bit uncomfortable with the suffix to his name.
- Because Naraku plans to take your mate. He wants to use her as a gateway to the other realm where the last shard remains, said Kohaku. - We wanted to warn you about it because…
- Because of what???
Sango stood up and walked over to her brother and his young bride. She kneeled behind them and put her hands on their shoulders.
- I will speak for you, said Sango with a warm voice. - It seems like Naraku has made a few more enemies, not just outsiders. Even his own minions turn against him. My brother's back has been healed. He does not need the black shard in his back to keep him alive. And I owe this little woman here. She was the one who made it possible.
- Huh? the gasp flew over the camp.
- Yes, and she gave it to me, so I confirm that there are no longer a shard in his back, said Kagome and held up the now purified shard.
- We can not go back unless we have the deity with us, and we will not either. It is not an option for us to take her, we wish you no harm. But we do have a request, said Kanna.
- What is it? asked Sesshoumaru.
- We want him dead so that we can be free from him. Kohaku can go, but me and my sister can not. Even if I have a small piece of my heart, Naraku-sama has the rest. And if I try to run away he will kill me with a simple squeeze with his hand, said Kanna.
- So you are suffering the same way as Kagura-san? asked Sesshoumaru, remembering the wind witch request once.
- Yes.
The silence fell over the camp. The first one to speak was Inuyasha.
- For how long can you stall him before he suspects anything? asked the hanyou.
- I believe a week, a week and a half at most Inuyasha-sama, said Kanna.
- I suggest that we travel back to Kaede, return the remains to their proper place, make up a battle plan and hit him dead on, said Inuyasha.
- Will you stay here Kohaku-kun? asked Kagome and the boy nodded.
- Good, then I suggest we travel before dawn breaks tomorrow, said Inuyasha and moved to sit behind his mate. His hands moved to rest over her stomach, protecting their unborn daughter.
Sango and Kurama took the young couple away a bit. The soon to be family needed to get to know each other. Kurama liked the young boy. He was sixteen, but he could easily have fooled the fox demon to be around his twenty. He was very grown up and aware of things around him.
Sango sat down next to Kurama. Kohaku and Kanna sat in front of them. The youngsters were very shy and held hands as they looked at the older couple.
- So little brother, you have taken a mate? said Sango with a soft smile.
- Aneue, are you mad? asked Kohaku.
- No, surprised yes, but not mad. How can I be mad? You have gotten your memories back, I have a brother again, and I do not have to afraid that I might loose him because he has a shard in his back, not anymore. And for that I will be forever in Kanna-chan's debt, said Sango. - I might think that you are a bit young, but no one can rule over their hearts. If you truly love each other, than that is good enough for me.
- I agree with your sister Kohaku-kun, said Kurama.
- Can I have a word with you Kanna-chan? In private? asked Sango and the pale girl nodded.
- Of course aneue, said Kanna and rose to her feet.
- Then you two can get to know each other a little better as well, suggested Sango to Kurama and Kohaku.
The girls walked away and found a secluded place.
Sango sat down next to a giant boulder and patted the ground beside her and Kanna took the place.
- Was there something special you wanted to ask me aneue?
- Yes, it is about your little transformation, although little is an understatement, said Sango.
- So you have noticed it as well, said Kanna and bit her lip.
- Yes, you have grown quite a bit in the last year Kanna-chan. How come?
- When I got that little piece of my heart back, I began to have feelings, emotions. And it seems like it affected my body as well. Kagura-neesan is looking for a new white kimono for me; a bigger one so that I could hide my new features better, said Kanna.
- How much has it affected your body?
- What do you mean aneue?
- Do you bleed as well?
- Bleed?
- Obviously not then, sighed Sango and wanted to groan.
A rustle of leafs and the soft voice of Botan came through the darkness.
- Excuse me; may I join your little talk? asked Botan.
- If you wish Botan-chan, said Sango.
Botan sat down in front of them and she blushed a bit. She felt like an intruder.
- I just wanted to say thank you to Kanna-chan for brining us the warning about her master's intentions. I am very grateful and so is Inuyasha even he do not say so.
- You are welcome Botan-sama, said Kanna and bowed her head.
- Please, don't do that, it is no need for it among friends, said Botan and took Kanna's pale hands in her own. - So what were you two talking about before I so rudely interrupted? Girl talk?
- Yes, you see it is like this… began Sango and told her the story about Kanna and the pale girl filled in the blanks for the taijya.
Kanna was a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. Was she suppose to bleed from that place? That was just too icky, she made a face and Sango laughed softly.
- Now I know that you are not trying to trap us, the old Kanna would never make a face like that, said Sango and put an arm around Kanna's shoulder.
- Thank you aneue, said Kanna and blushed.
- Come, let's go back and get to sleep. And you have my blessing Kanna-chan, said Sango.
- Thank you, it means a lot to me, to us, said Kanna.
Botan wanted to squeal, it was just too wonderful. She sighed dramatically and followed the two back to camp.
Kurama and Kohaku followed the girls; they too had talked a bit. Kurama tried not to be too adult with the young man, he was in love as well, he knew how the emotions could wreck havoc with your mind.
