Chapter 20~Afterwards!

~~~It had been a very very long night for Kagome. She had sent Inuyasha back through the well, with much arguing and threats, till he too agreed that thier friends needed to be updated but he promised to be back by nightfall. They needed to be warned of the extra danger she was now under, thanks to one spikey haired demon which Kagome was still very very pissed off about. She had spent a restless night thinking about Hiei and what he had tried to do to her and leaving her in the condition she was in now. But intertwined with those dreams had been dreams of how it had felt to be in his arms, to be held and kissed and touched and aroused by the fire demons body. That did not mean though that she was okay with what he had left her with, left her to face by starting the ritual and leaving her semi marked. She had dreamed most of the night being chased by demons. It had not been a great nights sleep and if she ever saw the spikey haired fire demon she was going to purify his ass.

~~~Inuyasha had come as promised that night. He had told thier companions what had occurred, or at least as much as they needed, but Kagome was still in a fit about what had happened. She was angry and she really needed some down time, so she asked Inu to go back for a bit, which didnt sit well with him.

"Why the fuck do I have to go back?? and what if Inari shows up or that stupid spikey haired demon?" Inu asked with a fierce growl, hating that Kagome was telling him to leave.

"First off..I have sutras that I will be placing when you leave, anyone with demon blood will not be able to enter the shrine compound thus Inari wont be able to get to me.........or Hiei.? She responded.

"And what about me?? am I going to be fried if I try to come through the well to get ya or see ya?" Inuyasha asked with anger.

"No...I have made the sutras to ward off demons...but modified it to let hanyous in."

"Well thats fuckin stupid, what if Inari or Hiei send in a hanyou after you?" Inu asked with anger and worry.

"I asked Koenma and as far as we can detect or know you are the only hanyou around...hanyous did not survive to make it to the Makia." Kagome told him, although saddened by that part, she hated to think about the hatred it must of taken to kill all hanyou's from the planet, maybe even Inuyasha..she didnt want to think of him being gone so she wasnt even going there, but still, her heart ached.

"Please Inu...I need some time to myself after all that happened..please understand??" she pleaded giving him her best pouty lips and puppy dog eyes that he rarely if ever could resist.

"FINE!!!" he shouted

"But dont blame me if something happens to you again!" he shouted with hurt and anger as he jumped to the window sill.

"Please dont be mad at me Inuyasha..you are all I have.......your my best friend and I love you...I just need this ok?? please understand." came Kagome's sad yet hopefull reply. Inu sighed.

"I do Understand Kagome and I could never hate you...its..its just I worry so much about you...I would die if anything ever happened to you." he replied with a long deep breath and sigh before he leapt from the window and out to the well.

"Ohh Inuyasha...sometimes things happen and you cant always be there for me..sometimes I have to fight my own battles." she whispered to no one but herself.

~~~~~At this time she couldnt sense or feel the dark energy of Hiei as he heard the whole thing between her and the hanyou. He didnt like the hanyou but he had to admit, he was a bit relieved to know the hanyou would protect her at all costs, he just wasnt used to feeling something like jealousy within him, and yes, he tried to tell himself it was not, that is was something else but he couldnt deny that he detested the closeness that Kagome had with the hanyou. He didnt like it, and if he had his way, he would put a stop to it sooner or later.

"What are you thinking about??? why stop it?? you have nothing to do with him or her or the feeling or relationships they share." came an inner voice that pissed him off

"Shut up."

"Why?? you cant face the fact that you like her..that you want this Miko for your own."

"I said shut the fuck up!"

"and if I dont?" came the voice in his head.

"Dont test me..part of me or not I will destroy you!" came hieis quiet but dead serious tone. The voice did not say another word.

A/N~yes oh God I know its totally shorter then hell but come on my muse is gone and at least its something right??? sigh...hope yall are still with me..and ty for your patience much luv and huggles and smiles Mija...:-)
