Hey people. I got some hits but only 1 review. Does my story suck that much? Alwell. Anyways I'll get on with chapter two cuz you don't want to listen to a rambling author.

Chapter 2: journey to the detectives

"What do you mean your quarrel is with me?"

Naraku smiled an evil grin and walked toward her.

"I mean that you are the real threat in the group. You are the only one that has seriously injured me. But that will change."

Inuyasha was trying hard not run over and hold kagome in his embrace. He could sense her fear, but at the moment he could do nothing to help her.

"What do you want?"

"I want to get rid of you. To make Inuyasha think `is she ok? Will she return to me?' but he will never know. Bcuz you will not return."

"You will not lay a hand on her Naraku!"

Miroku was the one to shield her. Sango ran beside him, the transformed Kilala right beside her.

"We will not let you harm her."

Both were determined and steadfast. Inuyasha looked at them, `kagome?'

"I think…no I know that you are terribly mistaken and it could cost you your lives if you do not step aside."

Miroku and Sango did not move a muscle. They stood glaring at the evil demon, still determined.

"Sango, Miroku, please do not sacrifice yourselves for me."

"Kagome you have defended us countless times. You told me to stay with you and cradled me when kohaku attacked us. You never let Miroku or me down. It is time we repay you in full."

Inuyasha ran at Naraku tetsaiga drawn. "Naraku!"

"Inuyasha no!"

To late! Inuyasha was thrown backwards into a tree by the summoned wind of kagura the sorceress.

"Do not stray from your place mut. You will be punished."

Kana stepped out from behind kagura with her mirror in hand.

"He is making a big mistake. Why do we hesitate? Let's get her know." The creepy, wispy voice of kana spoke irritated.

"Shut up kana!"

Naraku backhanded her. "We will attack after we have taken care of these vermin."

He looked toward Sango, Miroku, and Kilala.

"You will not get kagome."

Sango threw her huge boomerang at the small group. Only to have it thrown back at her and Kilala for the second time. She fell unconscious to the ground. Her head striking a pointed rock spilling crimson liquid.

"Sango!!"

Kagome ran to cradle her friend.

"What have you done you bastards?!"

Hot tears spilled from her eyes.

"You will pay for that you small irritating daughter of a bitch!"

He was about to undo the prayer beads from his wrists but kagome stopped him with her words.

"Miroku the same will happen to you. Remember the fight before. The same thing happened. Keep your hand covered."

He didn't know what to do. Thinking blindly he ran head on into kagura, throwing her backwards. Naraku was ready with a counter attack. He hit Miroku in the head with the hilt of sword knocking the monk unconscious.

"Now kagome, time to get rid of you."

He walked menacingly over to her. She was soaked with sango's blood. Naraku picked her up by the arm, letting sango's still body to the ground with another thud.

"No Sango, Inuyasha, Miroku."

They had all been wounded trying to save her. It was her fault. What if Sango was dying? Everyone had fled when Naraku appeared. Even Kaede. `Please hurry! Someone help Sango!' No use.

"Kagura ready the wind tunnel."

She brought her fan then brought it down sideways. Leaving what looked to be a tear in the air behind. The tear started to suck in wind, then began to glow a fierce purple.

"Good bye kagome."

She was thrust into the portal spinning uncontrollably.

kurama walked slowly down the back roads to his house. He was in no hurry. Yuske and kuwabara were still at school and hiei was gone. He was left alone for now. But that was ok. He wanted time alone anyways. His mother was gone with a friend to some spa for the week.

Which meant the house was his. Little did he know that he would have unexpected company for a while.

"Kurama hurry!"

He looked up, "boton, what are you doing here?"

"Someone from another time has shown up in spirit world. She doesn't look demon and she is wearing modern day clothes, but she is thought to have come from the past."

He ran to grab on to her ore and both sped into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.

"Were the hell am I?"

"Please miss calm down. I am koenma. Leader of spirit world."

"Spirit world?"

"Yes, now may we know your name?"

Yuske and hiei were already there. Sitting around her, starring.

"The hell is the matter with you? You have a staring problem?"

Yuske looked her over one last time, "why are you covered in blood?"

His question seemed to have struck a nerve.

She bit her lower lip and turned her head away from them all.

"Lord koenma, kurama is here."

"Boton, kurama please come in."

They entered and looked at the girl. "We have not yet learned her name. We know nothing for sure."

"Please tell us your name."

"And why the hell you're covered in blood."

Yuske added.

Boton glared at him, "shut up yuske."

"I don't know why the hell all of you are so curious. But you won't leave me alone till you know will you?"

Koenma shook his head.

"Fine. My name is kagome, I am from the modern time but I visit the feudal ages often to help my friends retrieve the shards of the shikon no tama…"

Kagome told them everything. From when she first got pulled into the well to the time when she was thrown into the portal.

"I'm sorry about your friend, I hope she is ok."

"Ya so do I. But according to that damn bastard Naraku I will never know. Damn him!"

She pounded her fist down on the table in front of her.

"we will have to find a place for her to stay. Kurama isn't your mother gone for a while?"

"yes she is. Do you wish for kurama to stay with me?"

"yes, please watch over her until I can find a way to get her home."

"yes sir."

kagome stepped into kurama's house. "this is where you live?"

"yes. I'm sure you want to wash up. I'll show you to the bathroom and give you a towel alright?"

"ok."

She followed him up the stairs and to a closed door. Kurama opened it for her and she stepped in.

"the towels are right there. And I'll be down stairs when your done. Are you hungry?"

"yes, I am."

He nodded and closed the door leaving kagome alone in the bath room.

`I guess I have to stay here. please kami let them all be ok.'
