Death Is Coming
I still don't own Yu Yu Hakusho.....damn.

Setsuna walked along, clad in her school uniform. Maybe this wasn't the best idea. Maybe she should just go back to being homeschooled. The crosswalk light flashed green and Setsuna walked into the street. The screech of tires filled the air just as she turned to see the car coming at her. She opened her mouth as if to scream, but nothing came out. She tumbled over the hood and over the roof, breaking the windshield. She hit the pavement as the car skidded to a halt. The driver jumped out as people gathered around the accident. Setsuna lay just behind where she had been struck. A small stream of blood dripped down to the cold road. Her midnight hair scattered in a mess our her, breath and heartbeat gone.

~~~~~~~~
She flew up out of bed, mouth open in an attemp to scream. Drops of sweat along with tears fell onto the sheets. That was it, she was not going to school today! But then again, it was just a dream. She knew one person who could help her.
GoldenSilence: Good, you're on.
LuciferGirl: What else would I be doing? And what are YOU doing on here? Shouldn't you be getting ready for school or something?
GoldenSilence: I have to ask you something and you have to be completely honest with me.
LuciferGirl: Shoot.
GoldenSilence: I had a dream last night.
LuciferGirl: Ah, the old dream concept.
GoldenSilence: Just listen!
LuciferGirl: Okay, okay.
GoldenSilence: In it I got hit by a car and died.
LuciferGirl: What were you wearing?
GoldenSilence: My school uniform.
LuciferGirl: Was it in the morning?
GoldenSilence: I don't know.
LuciferGirl: How shaken are you about this?
GoldenSilence: I can hardly type. My hands are shaking really bad.
LuciferGirl: I think I know someone who can help you.
GoldenSilence: Don't go suggesting a shrink on me!
LuciferGirl: He's not a shrink, but you might be a little freaked out.
GoldenSilence: Fine. You have my address. Come over around noon. My mom and Kenji should be out for the day.
LuciferGirl: I'll bring him over, if he agrees.
GoldenSilence: Okay. I'll see you then.
GoldenSilence has logged off.
I waited the morning away. I made mom think I was sick to get out of school. The clock changed to noon just as the doorbell rang. I hopped off the couch and went to answer it. I opened the door to Lucifer, well her real name was Taka. She had black hair that was really short and golden eyes. She was also tall just like her name stated. The one next to her was about my height in all black. His hair was black with a white starburst. He didn't look like he could help me, but I'd give it a try.
"Hey, Suna." she greeted.
I held up my hand and waved.
"This is Hiei. I think he can help you.
"Hn. I don't see the point in this." he scowled.
I opened the door wider so they could come in. I lead them into the living room and Taka began.
"Look, I don't wanna scare you or anything, but you should see something. Hiei, show her."
Hiei removed the bandana around his forehead. Okay....I was freaked out. No one told me he had a third eye....And I supposed he was going to read my mind, but that was only a guess.
"I am."
I jumped. He heard my thoughts? Okay, I was really freaked out.
"Just sit down, hold still, and try to concentrate."
I did just as he ordered, trying to remember last night's dream. He closed his eyes for only a few moments before opening them again.
"Come with me."
"Hiei, where are you taking her?" Taka asked.
"To see Koenma. He should be able to explain this."
~~~~~~~~

"So, Setsuna, can you tell me what you saw?"
Setsuna thought this Reikai ruler was a fool.
"Just think. I can hear your thoughts in this world." Koenma explained.
**My death. I saw the street, time of day, and I was in my school uniform. I was on my way to school.**
"Well, I can already explain this. Every human has energy that goes to the senses. Since you are mute, the energy that would normally go to speech hasn't been used. You have a higher spirit awareness level than Kuwabara."
**Kuwabara?**
"The name isn't important. Kuwabara gets preminissions and senses things coming, but he doesn't know exactly what. You, on the other hand, were born with a high spiritual awareness. On top of that you have the power that would normally go to speech converted to extra spiritual awareness."
**So, I'll always know when I'm going to die?**
"Yes, but your dreams will not always happen immediatly. These things can take time."
**And that's about it?**
He nodded.
**I'll make sure to watch myself. Now let me go home.**
"I'm sure Hiei can take you."
**Right, the ill-tempered one. I'll just walk myself home.** I walked to the door to find Hiei blocking my way.
"I insist." he said.
Well, he wasn't being very suttle.

~~~~~~~~
"Hey, mom."
"Yes?" Yamamoto-san replied.
"I think something's wrong with Setsuna. I've been hearing crashing from the attic all night. And then there's that Shuichi...."
"Kenji, he's a nice boy. You're just overprotective. She is your little sister, after all."
"I still don't like him."
~~~~~~~~

It had been three weeks since my visit to Koenma. I found a very simple way to deal with my peers at school, too.

****Flashback****

Shuichi wasn't around. That was probably a good thing.
"Hey, you! New girl!"
I turned. Great. It was the clique of what I like to call 'skimpy' girls. You know, the ones that tended to hit on Shuichi. I felt extreme pity for the boy when it came to that subject. I ignored them an kept walking.
"Bitch! Don't ignore me!"
I sidestepped gently to avoid the punch that flew over my shoulder. Thank God I had that dream last night. I didn't just see death anymore. I saw petty stuff like this. I turned swiftly and backhanded her. I heard a few gasps from random people. She stared at me, rubbing her red cheek.
"Why you little...."
I sidestepped once more. She was so....clumsy. The last bell rang and I was leaving.
They followed from a distance until I saw Kenji. I waved, watching his brown hair flutter in the wind. I immediatly heard gasps from the girls behind me. They ran around me and straight to my brother. If they even dared....
"Hi there." the first girl greeted.
"So, what brings you here?" another asked.
My brother was too old for them. He was almost twenty for crying out loud! How old were they? 14? 15?
"I'm sorry, I'm waiting for someone." Kenji replied. He spotted me and waved slightly. "Suna-chan, hurry up. Mom wants you home."
"Suna-chan?!" the girls echoed. Those expressions were priceless! As they stood gaping, I joined Kenji and began to walk home.
"You go to school with some pretty off-the-wall girls." he commented as we exited the school grounds.
I simply nodded.

~~~~~~~~
I spun around in my computer chair and flipped the 'on' switch as I went. The computer came on with a few noises from the CPU. I had just gotten back from school and was feeling a bit tired. Everyday I watched myself, making sure to cross the road with care since I had that dream a few weeks back. Maybe I'd talk to Shuichi a bit.
"You've got mail!" it chimed.
Really now? Wonder who it's from. I looked at the address. 'Bakudan? But I don't know anyone from that name.' I double clicked and it opened.
"This is a warning. Stop listening to those dreams of yours. It's foolhardy to believe in something like that. How do I know? I have my ways. But you and your dreams will interfere with what I have planned. Back down now."
'Okay, whoever wrote this is very strange. Cheesy writing, too. Stupid people need to learn to leave me alone.' I closed the computer window and stood. 'And I won't stop ignoring my dreams. Why should I? What are they going to do? Kill me? Give me a break....'
"It would be wise to take my advice, or maybe you need to be persuaded."
Suddenly, the window in my room blew out, followed by fire shooting up from the floor. Explosions surrounded me as I tried to scream. I ran out of the attic and down the stairs to ground level. An evil laugh echoed throughout the room. I burst out into the street in a last attempt to get away.
~~~~~~~~

Yusuke, and Kurama were just getting out of school and made the decision to walk home together.
"Hey, guys." Kuwabara began. "I've got this weird feeling. You know, like something bad's gonna happen."
"Like you failed that math test?" Yusuke mused.
"Urameshi! This is serious!"
As if on cue, three fire trucks rushed down the street, sirens screaming.
"See! I'm not lying!" That's when they all began to listen in to a conversation between two girls within earshot.
"Hey! Did you hear?!" the first asked.
"Hear what? You mean the accident on 4th Street?"
"And the old Yamamoto house just blew up! They say she ran out of the house and into the street!"
"You hear about that creepy guy chasing her?"
"They said he looked like a raven or something."
"Let's go see!" And the two ran off.
"Oi, Kurama, did you say you knew someone named Yamamoto....? Kurama?" The two looked around, but no Kurama.

~~~~~~~~
"Mrs. Yamamoto,"
"Yes?" Setsuna's mother answered.
"You have a call. Your daughter has just been rushed to the hospital."
~~~~~~~~

Mrs. Yamamoto, Kenji, Kurama, and Yusuke and Kuwabara who had followed Kurama all sat in the waiting room of the hospital. Yamamoto-san was crying softly. Who wanted to hurt Setsuna so much that they damaged their home and chased her into the street? Kurama seemed disturbed more than any of them. Why? He wasn't sure, but he had a bad feeling about whoever was after Setsuna.

~~~~~~~~
So, do any of you know who is after Setsuna? Think about it! I'll try to update by next weekend. Ja!
