STARTING OVER

This chapter is dedicated to Shadow Maiden! Thanks for the great review! Okay I forgot to do this last chapter so here we go. *Deep breath* I don't own Inuyasha or YuYu Hakusho (sp?). I would also like to tell you that Sakki means thirst for blood, Goshinboku is the god tree, and since my friend complained- Kurama and Heie where injured by the purification wave Kagome used*just thought I should clear that up- there! Chapter 3

Kagome, Shippou, and Sota came back early this time. They only stayed two days because Inuyasha had found out about Kagome's `public secret', (You know, when everyone knows but one person ^_~) and had gotten angry. In the minds of Shippou and Sota it was all Inuyasha's fault, Kagome however wasn't so sure.

"Kagome get back!" Inuyasha cried as he roughly tried to push her behind him. The fact that he couldn't move her should have tipped him off, but it didn't. Kagome absently noted her mistake and moved silently behind him to watch the fight with Shippou and Sota. (Ya Sota fights, ill explain later). Inuyasha was fighting a massive usagi-youkai… and losing… badly. Yes, that's right, he was fighting a giant cute, fuzzy, floppy-eared bunny. Kagome was almost too embarrassed to watch.
Inuyasha must be really off his game, even Sota could beat this thing- she thought impassively. While Kagome was mentally checking the area for any jewel shads she noticed that Inuyasha was actually trying. She resisted the urge to shake her head at the lovable hanyou. Then she noticed that the usagi wasn't trying at all, and would defeat Inuyasha any moment now.
Kagome held in the scream that yearned to escape her throat. -Inuyasha!- her mind screamed instead as the usagi kicked out fiercely with its hind legs, sending the inu straight into a tree. Said tree happened to be about a hairs breadth away form Shippou's head.
All thoughts of secrecy and Inuyasha's pride left her mind as she concentrated and sent the usagi flying into the tree opposite Inuyasha with a blast of purification.
Shippou noticed his mother going after the rabbit and decided to step in before Inuyasha regained consciousness.
"Mom! I'm fine! See? Not a scratch! Stop before Inuyasha wakes up!"
Kagome paused for a moment then continued on, deciding that if she let this one slide others would start thinking she let people live. That couldn't happen, she had a reputation to uphold after all. So, disregarding his good advice, she continued to advance on the semi-conscious youkai.
Inuyasha had been in the same state and the usagi when Shippou spoke so the only thing he heard, and understood, was `Stop before Inuyasha wakes up!'. He shook his head, in a very dog like manner, making his ears flap, to rid himself of all thoughts as he tackled the problem of Kagome, his Kagome, going up against a youkai that took him out easily.
But before he even had time to react Kagome unsheathed the sword she had been carrying, but never using, and attacked the youkai with skill to rival Sesshoumaru.
To Inuyasha's never ending surprise she only needed to make one horizontal slash to kill the youkai because from her blade came black and red energy blades. (Like the wind scar and Kagura's wind blades all rolled into one, only black and red) The youkai's cries could be heard for miles around as the blades consumed its form, leaving noting but three jewel shards and an injured Inuyasha.
As Inuyasha tried to stand Kagome sheathed her sword and turned to him, her blue eyes betraying none of the emotions she was feeling. Once he was standing, or leaning on a tree on a standing position, Inuyasha started to yell at Kagome.
"What the fuck where you thinking? You could have been killed! You're supposed to sit in the background and cheer me on, not kill demons that I cant! I can't believe you just did that! You're just a stupid, weak, human. How dare you take my kill from me? I…"
Inuyasha was cut off by Kagome's hand snaking its way around his neck.
"Never talk to me like that ever again, or I'll send you to hell without Kikyo (sp?) by your side."
Kagome's voice was quiet and deathly calm, almost like Sesshoumaru's. Inuyasha tensed his muscles to pull away, but just when he was going to rip out of her grasp she let go and stood back a few steps.
"Feh." Was Inuyasha's only reply.
Kagome's eyes narrowed slightly, though Shippou and Sota noticed Inuyasha didn't heed the warning to back off. Instead he took a step towards the boys on the right of her.
"Yah right. All I have to do to make you a slave is to kill either of these two."
Kagome was at his side in an instant. She leaned in and whispered into his ear.
"The only reason you're still standing after a threat like that is because I once loved you. Try anything on any of my friends and you wont live to see the next sunset."
It took Inuyasha a moment to register what she said. When it finally hit him that Kagome had just threatened him he went ballistic. Turning on his heal, Inuyasha lashed out at her with his claws.
All they caught, however, was air. Kagome appeared in front of him with her stoic mask firmly set in place as her former best friend attacked. Inuyasha had no style what so ever. He would slash with his claws, miss, fall on his ass because of momentum, then jump up and repeat the process. Kagome was about to kick him in the stomach when she saw a flicker in his eyes.
She jumped back with her inhuman speed. Something was wrong! Kagome spread out her senses more carefully this time, searching for anything out of the ordinary. What she found surprised her to no end. Kikyo was in a small clearing a few miles away, hiding her scent and energy behind a shield. She showed no emotion as everything fell into place. Inuyasha's rougher than usual push, his colder than usual manner, his not calling her bitch, his lost fight with the bunny. It was a trap, Kikyo had control over Inuyasha! She must be working with Naraku. Kagome felt the bile rise in her throat as she thought of how Inuyasha must feel, trapped in his own body.
Kagome sighed mentally as she formulated a plan to regroup, and get the inu free. She groaned out laud at her escape plan. Oh well, she thought the lesser of two evils.
Kagome told her plan to Shippou and Sota telepathically, then began the best acting job she's ever done.
She collapsed on the ground at his feet and began sobbing false tears.
"Oh Inuyasha! I could never fight you! Please forgive me! I'll do anything you want, just don't hurt my kit or brother!" Kagome almost choked with suppressed laughter.
Thankfully Inuyasha took them for sobs, so he bought it. Kagome saw this and continued her charade.
"I can't stay here Inuyasha, I'll go home and never come back! Please forgive me!"
With that she grabbed her kit and Sota and teleported to the well. With a loud crash they fell to the ground beside the Hone Kui No Ido, (bone eater's well… I think) and dissolved into helpless laughter. After they caught their breath they jumped in the well, only to arrive on the other side in another bout of giggles.

Kagome's giggles evaporated as soon as she felt the link to Koenma's office tug. Soon after the link tugged a portal opened near the Goshinboku. Shippou saw his mother turn serous and quickly jabbed Sota to stop his merriment.
Sota made a small `ooff' ing noise as the wind was knocked out of him. He glared at Shippou for a moment before following the fox's gaze to his sister. She was in an attack position and was glaring at the stairs. Ok, well not glaring, but her bland stare had the same effect on people so Sota really didn't see a difference.
His breath caught as when he was the people from a few days ago jump out of the hole that had formed by the steps.

Yuske was the first to arrive at the shrine, and so was the first person to be attacked. He barely had time to shout warning to his companions before the enraged miko was on him.
He didn't have any time to attack; all he could do was dodge or block. And he preferred to dodge because her blows would numb his arms from the force of them. He was just about to call for help when she drew back for absolutely no reason.
He was thinking up an attack plan when her cold, smooth voice stopped all thoughts.
" I warned you, why did you return?"
Something about her almost made him want to tell the truth. Almost.
"I was ordered to."
Her eyes narrowed a fraction and, unlike a certain hanyou, he took the warning and stepped back while he thought up a better answer.
"No seriously! Koenma wants you." That sounds so dirty. " Er, he wants you on our team! I'm just here to pick you up," The woman raised an eyebrow. A really sexy eyebrow. NO! " I mean, to get you for the team. Don't sex-er shoot the messenger!"
GAH! Shut up Yuske! Yuske mentally screamed at himself as the woman raised her eyebrow to join the other one. (AN- ok I forgot to say this but Kagome doesn't have bangs anymore, now the are like as long as inu's forelocks, framing her face…sorry for the interruption) GODS she's sexy!
Yuske heard a cough behind him; he turned to see Koenma standing behind him with the rest of the S.D.'s looking at him like he was on crack. Yuske blushed lightly and laughed nervously.
"Oh, hehe, hey guys!"
"…"-Everyone else
"Ahem, Right then! Ask away, toddler."

Kagome was laughing hysterically on the inside, but on the outside she had a bored and slightly annoyed look on her face.
" I already refused, I already warned you, now you will die."
She could hear them all gulp, and the one named Yuske's attraction to her seemed to increase. The short jaganshi wearing black was looking at Shippou with a strange glint in his eye. She tried to peek into his mind, but was deflected. Not surprising, she hadn't expected to be able to.
Kagome's eyes caught a flicker of movement beside Shippou, so she acted without thinking. She unsheathed her sword, took aim, filled it with purifying energy, and threw it, all in one graceful move. Shippou fully trusting his mother didn't move a muscle. That fact alone saved his butt. The sword Hiei had been carrying shot past his ear, missing it by a hair's breadth. Sota's eyes where as big as saucers when Kagome issued orders to him telepathically.
Sota nodded dumbly and grabbed the sword before turning and facing a very injured Hiei. He had Kagome's sword buried hilt deep into his shoulder, and the skin around it was sizzling from the blade's purifying abilities.
The YuYu gang was shocked into silence as Sota raised Hiei's sword and pressed it against the demon's neck. They all saw that Sota was willing to take the demon's life for threatening Shippou's.
