Yoko's Battle Won
***Human World, Modern Day. ***
Hiei jumped out of the well, his Jagon eye glowing. `Where's the detective?' Hiei thought. Then quick as lightning Hiei found Yusuke and went after him. Yusuke was in the hospital surrounded by doctors and security guards.
“SHUT UP!!!” Yusuke screamed, he didn't like having so many questions thrown at him at one time. Tones of questions like `what happened to your friends?' `Who destroyed the room?' `Were there aliens involved?' and many obscure questions.
“LEAVE ME THE F*** ALONE!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!!!” Yusuke was about to start playing target practice with some of the doctor's when he saw Hiei. “Finally” he sighed.
Yusuke quickly made his way over to Hiei, pushing the doctors aside as he went, he didn't really care what happened to them.
“Hay Hiei, what the H*** happened? I leave to go home and when I come back in the morning Kurama, Kagome, Sango, Shippo, and you are all gone. Kuwabara is in a different room and doesn't know anything and these friken doctors won't shut up about it.” Yusuke ranted.
“Hn, there was a problem.” Hiei glared.
“Well no dip, what happened?” Yusuke didn't want to be messed with.
Hiei looked around at all the doctors giving questioning glances. “Come with me and I will explain…grab the idiot.” Hiei growled low enough so the doctors couldn't hear.
“Okay…hay move it…Coming threw…come on clear a path…I SAID MOVE IT PEOPLE!!!.” Yusuke yelled as he pushed pass the doctors to Kuwabara's room.
Kuwabara looked up and saw him, “Hay Urameshi, you didn't forget about me? What's shrimp doing here?” He questioned. Hiei started to take out his sword; he had a long night and really didn't want to listen to this.
“Whoa Hiei, put that away.” Yusuke stopped Hiei. “Now get up Kuwabara, we are getting out of here…NOW.” Yusuke had had spent more then enough time in the hospital.
“Hn, fine, lets go.” Hiei said as he headed towered the door. Yusuke and Kuwabara followed. The group of three snuck out of the hospital to avoid all the doctors, reporters, and policemen that would have hundreds more questions.
After the trio got away from the hospital they stopped under a tree.
“Okay Hiei, spill it. What happened?” Yusuke said in all seriousness.
Hiei scoped his surroundings to make sure no one was listening then began; “Kurama has been possessed.” Hiei said.
“What do you mean possessed?” Questioned Yusuke.
“He isn't in control of his body…Kurama transformed into Yoko Kurama and attacked us in the human hospital.” Hiei said, he didn't really want to explain it to the two idiot humans.
“Okay then what happened.” Kuwabara asked, he didn't remember being attacked.
“We followed him, his trail came to a dead end and he attacked the dog, we don't know where he is, I could of found him by now but I was sent to retrieve you.” Hiei said with a growl.
“Great, isn't this just great.” Yusuke was getting mad again. “Hay Hiei, was anyone hurt? How are the others…Did Kurama get hurt?” Yusuke was a little worried for his new and old teammates.
“The dog got tied up but is fine, Kurama wasn't injured but that one miko was harmed a little, she'll survive.” Hiei said.
“What about the pretty girl with the two tailed kitty?” asked Kuwabara.
Hiei glared at him before responding, “Unfortunately Kurama didn't kill her…the slayer is recovering.”
“Hay Shorty, that's are teammate, what do you mean Unfortunately, you should be glad she's okay!” Kuwabara defended.
“She is not a teammate and I could care less if she dies.” Hiei said in a dangerously low voice.
“You have to stop saying that Hiei, you have to watch out for your teammates you have to…” Yusuke cut off Kuwabara.
“Okay you two we can argue later until then I think we should go back and find Kurama…I guess I should also check in with the toddler.” Yusuke said as he pulled out his communicator.
“Hay toddler you there?” Yusuke yelled into the communicator.
“Yes of course I'm here, AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!. It's about time you called, I've been waiting for a long time.” Koenma began.
“Hay I don't have time for a lecture, I just wanted to tell you Kurama's been possessed.” Yusuke said.
“What do you mean possessed?” Koenma said in a panicked voice.
“Well.” Yusuke then told him the whole story, Hiei adding a few parts Yusuke didn't know.
“Wow, this is serious. Okay, I want you to track down Kurama and stop him, and that means at any cost.” Koenma said.
“What do you mean at any cost?” Questioned Kuwabara.
“Well, Kurama is now an enemy so as much as I hate to say it the mission must come first. It sounds like he is trying to gather the jewel shards and if he does that there might be no stopping whoever he's gathering them for. There is a chance that the possession is permanent and if that is the case you can't think of him as a friend, he is an enemy and must be dealt with like one.” Koenma said in a serious and sad tone. “Believe me it's not what I want but it might be for the best.”
“Your crazy, we will never turn on Kurama.” Yusuke said, anger filling his voice.
Kuwabara and Hiei nodded in affirmation, they wouldn't kill Kurama.
“Just remember what I said Yusuke.” Koenma finished.
Yusuke just closed the communicator. “Okay, lets go back and find Kurama.”
“Okay Urameshi I'm with you.” Kuwabara stated as he ran off heroically.
“Idiot, do you think he knows he's going the wrong way?” asked Hiei.
“No, he'll figure it out eventually.” Yusuke said as he and Hiei went the opposite direction towered the Well.
***Nearing The Demon Slayers Cave***
Kurama had been following Soloc for quite a long time. He knew this could easily be a trap, he knew he did not trust Soloc, he knew all this…But he followed anyway. Surprisingly, Soloc did bring him to the Demon Slayers cave.
“Well, uh Mister Kurama, Yoko, Sir, I have brought you where you wanted me too, can I go now?” asked a panicking Soloc, soon Crece would know he betrayed him and Soloc didn't want to be there when he found out.
“No, I'm sorry Soloc but I can't risk it being a trap, you must stay with me.” Kurama looked over and saw how terrified Soloc looked. “Don't worry, if you are telling me the truth I promise no harm will come to you.” Kurama said to calm him down and it seemed to work a little.
Soloc led the way into the cave. They walked for a little then Kurama recognized where they were, they were in the room outside of the barrier they were trapped in earlier.
Kurama remained as always very cautious and aware of everything that was going on around him. He watched for even the slightest hint of aggression but it didn't come, he wondered where all the slayers were.
Soloc too seemed to notice that the slayers were missing, he kept on looking around for the usual guards and others but no one was there.
“Soloc if this is a trap, I will aim for you first.” Kurama warned.
“It's no trap that I know of Kurama sir, don't worry it must be recuperation hour.” Soloc prayed that it was.
They continued walking still not coming to any opposition, which worried Kurama more then meeting lots of opposition.
“W...We…Were here.” Soloc choked. They came to the door where Crece would be.
Kurama quickly pulled out a rose and made it into his rose whip, he was ready for whatever he would face inside that room.
“Open the door.” Kurama stated clearly.
Soloc hesitated then slowly began to open the door, hoping against hope that Crece wasn't expecting them.
***Kaede's hut***
The group travelers had been waiting very patiently for Hiei to return with Kuwabara and Yusuke.
“WHERE THE H*** ARE THEY.” InuYasha screamed for the hundredth time.
“Please settle down InuYasha, I'm sure they are coming soon.” Kagome tried to reason with him.
“I don't know Kagome, knowing that idiotic midget he probably got lost.” Sango said happily, it was peaceful not having Hiei around to annoy her.
“Whose are you calling an idiot?” The icy-cold voice of Hiei growled in anger.
Sango whipped around and was face to face with those glaring red eyes.
“Well obviously I'm calling you the idiot Hiei, and you just proved my point by not even knowing I was talking about you.” Sango said with a smug grin on her face.
Hiei glared harder at her and then Yusuke broke into the conversation. “Give it a rest you too, geesh, were here for two minuets and your already going at it. Hay Kagome, has there been any leads on Kurama?” Yusuke had two angry pairs of eyes giving him death glares.
“Well no Yusuke we haven't gotten any leads.” Kagome informed him.
“NONE!!!” Yusuke was angry. “Well is his scent still around so that dog-face over there can track him?”
“Just try and call me that one more time.” InuYasha said as he took a threatening step towered Yusuke.
“I can call you whatever I want.” Yusuke replied, both of them were having a bad day and both were itching for a fight.
“Hey guys settle down, we wont find Kurama if you fighting.” Kagome's please went unnoticed.
“If you call me that one more time I'm going to slice you up so bad it would make Kuwabara look pretty.” The angry InuYasha sneered as he pulled out his trusty Tetsusaiga.
“Hey, what do you mean by that?” Kuwabara mumbled.
“That's it dog-face.” Yusuke said as he began transferring energy to his pointer finger.
“Hey guys. Please don't fight…Come on your acting like children.” Kagome tried.
“It's no use Kagome, taking to them is like talking to raging bulls.” Sango said.
“Yes, they are both extremely stubborn.” Miroku said.
“Who you calling stubborn?” the two screamed as they began to fight.
“The dogs about to die.” Hiei said with a smirk on his face.
“Not in your life, Even InuYasha could kill that punk.” Sango spat at Hiei.
“Is that a challenge?” Questioned Hiei.
“Yeah, whoever looses has to clean the other ones sword” Sango said.
“Is that all?” Hiei's interests were peeked.
“No…loser has to bow down to the other and say they are a superior worrier.” Sango said.
Hiei glared at her then said, “Deal.” They shook on it then sat back to watch the two try and take their heads off.
Yusuke and InuYasha were really going at it, punches were flying. Then InuYasha used a wind scar, “Ha, he's going down.” Sango said.
“Its not over” Hiei growled. Yusuke barely dodged the attack. Then Yusuke finished charging his finger and let out a huge spirit gun.
“Dead dog.” Hiei smirked.
Luckily for InuYasha he saw it in time and got just out of the way.
“In your face shorty.” Sango cheered.
Both continued fighting until they saw a seriously peeved of Kagome.
Kagome's miko energy was flaring…She was seriously peeved off. “STOP IT THIS INSTANT YOU IMATURE BRATS.” She screamed. “WE ARE HERE TO FIND KURAMA SO STOP YOUR MIDELESS FIGHTING AND GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, BEFORE I PUREFIE YOUR BUMBS.” Kagome finished and InuYasha and Yusuke just stared at her. Within a second both quickly ended the fight so as not to anger the miko again.
“Oh, I'm sorry for that little outburst, but we really should look for Kurama.” Kagome said happily and both the slightly frightened fighters sweat dropped and just nodded there head, they didn't feel like getting on her bad side again.
“Wait that's it?” Sango looked at them. “You're just quitting, who won?” Sango was angry.
Hiei wasn't too thrilled either. “Your lucky slayer, you were just saved some humiliation.” Hiei taunted her.
“No I believe you are the lucky one…after all Yusuke did…” Sango was cut off by one glare from Kagome. “Sango, Hiei, I believe I said there we should stop the fighting and we should get along did I not?” Questioned Kagome. Sango and Hiei just looked away from each other.
Kagome smiled, `wow, I guess if I want I can restore peace. That went much better then I thought it would.' Kagome chuckled to herself.
“Hay Hiei, why don't you use your jagon to find him?” asked Yusuke.
“For some reason my jagon has had trouble locating him, I believe its because he has so many jewel shards” Hiei closed his eyes and started searching again.
After a few moments of peace and quiet Hiei found something. “I know where he is.” Hiei said as he slowly opened his eyes.
“Where?” Kagome was ecstatic that they found him.
“He's at the demon slayers cave.” Hiei said calmly.
The others looked at each other, hundreds of questions flew threw there heads, but none of it mattered, they had a location and they were going after it.
***Demon Slayer Cave***
The door slowly creaked open. Kurama held his breath, waiting for anything to happen…nothing. The room was dark but empty. Kurama relaxed a little, if only a little and he began to go in. Kurama looked around as he went in, he paused…something wasn't right.
Kurama herd a bang and wheels turning, he didn't know what was happening until it was too late.
Bars fell from the ceiling and trapped him, it happened so fast he didn't have time to dodge it, he was trapped.
“Welcome Yoko, I'm glad you could join us.” A dark voice sneered.
Kurama looked around to see a dark figure sneak out of the shadows. Kurama quickly tried to get out, but as soon as he touched the bars he was shocked, it was the same kind of barrier that they were trapped in the first time.
“Traitor!” Kurama said as he looked over to see Soloc cowering near Crece.
Soloc just looked down in shame.
“Traitor? I think you've got it wrong, he's done just what I wanted to him to do. I knew he would bring you here, how else could I catch you?” Crece said slowly.
“Why couldn't you just posses me to come here.” Kurama questioned, he was trying to by time as he looked around trying to calculate an escape plan.
“That's simple, I needed your hair.” Crece said.
“As far as I know you already have a sample of my hair.” Kurama said cautiously.
“Yes I do, but I need more. Your last piece of hair worked but it became weak after conducting such magic. So it turned into dust, I need another piece in order to posses you again.” Soloc stared at Crece in shock.
“I didn't tell anyone that or else they could have warned you.” Crece said eyeing Soloc who still hadn't moved, he was terrified; he had played right into Crece's hands.
“If you want my hair, come and take it.” Kurama said as he pulled the rose whip into his fighting stance.
“Oh, I wont fight you for it.” Crece said smoothly, then he raised his hand. With one menacing smile an electric shock flew out of his hands towered the cage.
Kurama suddenly felt as if lightning had run threw him; the pain was incredible and unbearable. It seemed to drain him of energy and strength. Kurama yelled out as the pure pain was tingling every part of his body, he fell violently to the floor.
Crece lowered his hands; he looked at Kurama as he got up. “I'm surprised you're still conscious, most would have lost consciousness in the first few seconds. Oh well, ill have to try again.” He raised his hand and sent the next shock wave.
Unfortunately Kurama was trapped, the barrier didn't stop things from coming in, just him getting out. He tried to dodge the lightning but was trapped, it hit him full force, sending him into the barrier walls, which in turn shocked him. Kurama saw nothing but pain, darkness, he couldn't stand it, but he wouldn't give up.
Crece attacked him three more times until Kurama's body started to shut down, he fell into unconsciousness.
“Master, you killed him.” One of the many servants said in horror.
“No, that is just a bolt of pain, it shuts down a body while sending tremendous amounts of pain threw them. I'm surprised how long he stayed awake.”
Crece looked around and his eyes stopped on Soloc. Soloc shook in fear.
“M...Mas...Master, I really didn't mean to…I…I… Mean.” Soloc was cut off when Crece sent him flying against the wall with a lightning shock.
“Don't talk,” He said glaring at him. “Take him down to the dungeon,” He looked at Soloc, “I will deal with you later.” Crece turned away from Soloc.
Two demon slayers grabbed Soloc and began to drag him down, Soloc was petrified, who knows what would happen to him.
Crece advanced instead towered Kurama; he disengaged the bars and grabbed the unconscious Kurama by the hair. He pulled out three stands then suddenly a hand was around his throat, he was staring at piercing emerald eyes.
Kurama flipped Crece onto the ground, his hand pushing on his windpipe. “Tell me why I shouldn't kill you know.” Kurama hissed.
Crece was trying to breath but having no luck. But then Crece closed his eyes and focused his magic on the hairs he had in his hand.
Kurama's grip loosened, his eyes became yellow, not green, and Yoko Kurama stood and released Crece.
Crece smiled evilly as he tried to catch his breath, “That wasn't good, slaves like you should know not to attack their masters.” Crece said to the possessed Kurama, but he could swear for a second those gold eyes flashed to green.
“Well since I'm wasting all this energy you might as well do something, go and bring me back a jewel shard form the village west of here.” Yoko turned to go. “Oh and slave, crush anyone who stands in your way.” Without another word Yoko was gone, off to do what Crece said.
`That was close; I thought I saw his eyes change, no that's impossible. He can't overcome my magic.' Crece thought as he focused on controlling the fox demon.
***With The Group***
Kagome and the rest of the group were heading towered the demon slayer's cave. They had been walking all day and it was becoming night. As they walked Kagome felt a very familiar feeling.
“I sense a jewel shard.” Kagome stopped.
“You do, where is it Kagome?” InuYasha brightened up, he didn't really want to find Kurama and the jewel shard would be the perfect distraction.
Kagome looked around, “It's coming from that way.” Kagome said as she pointed down a small trail up a hill.
“Fine then lets go.” InuYasha said.
“No, we aren't.” Yusuke said.
“And why the hell not?” seethed InuYasha.
“Because our first priority is to find Kurama, that's in the opposite direction.” Yusuke said, no dog was going to stop him from finding his teammate.
“I don't care, OUR first priority is to find the jewel shards!” InuYasha yelled.
“Not before Kurama.” Kuwabara piped up.
“But if we don't go after this jewel shard we might not find it again before Naraku does.” Miroku said logically.
“The shard can wait.” Hiei said icily.
“I think Kurama could handle himself for the few minuets that it would take us to find the jewel shards.” Sango directed at Hiei.
Kagome saw the group splitting; she didn't know what to do. She was worried about Kurama and wanted to help him, but she also had a duty to find the jewel shards.
“Fine, you can go find your dumb fox and well go after the jewel shard.” InuYasha said hopping to get rid of them.
“Fine, I guess you care more about those shards then any teammate of yours.” Yusuke screamed.
Kagome knew this would end badly, without Kurama being the peacemaker the group was falling apart. She wasn't going to let that happen, but she didn't know what to do. Suddenly Kagome felt it, she sensed the jewel shards that Kurama had, and she knew it was his because they were mixed with his energy, he was in the same direction the other jewel shard was.
Kagome began to run.
“Hay wench where are you going?” Snapped InuYasha.
“To get Kurama.” Kagome yelled.
The others looked at each other for only a second and then they raced off after Kagome, some for the jewel shard, others for Kurama.
Kagome ran up a huge hill towered the jewel shard and Kurama. When she got to the top she stopped, she was looking down at a village. The houses in the village were on fire, people were running everywhere and threw the destruction a white blur ran.
The others got to the top of the hill, “What's wrong why are you stopping…Oh.” Kuwabara asked as he looked at the horrific sight.
Hiei was the first to get over all the destruction, he ran down towered it, Sango closely behind him.
Shippo saw the villagers that were dead and the ones that were hurt, “Mama, did Kurama do this?” Shippo whispered to Kagome sadly.
Kagome didn't want to tell Shippo the truth, she knew Kurama did because of the village, green plants and vines were holding people down, it had to be him.
“Kagome where is Kurama.” Yusuke asked urgently.
Kagome closed her eyes and focused, she sensed him behind a building a few feet away from them. “He's behind you!” Kagome tried to yell out but it was too late, Yusuke was on the ground, Yoko Kurama on top of him.
Yoko swiped at Yusuke once when Hiei punched him off Yusuke.
Hiei began to fight Yoko, but he didn't pull out his sword this time, he just punched and kicked.
Yoko fought back too; he took out a much sharper rose whip and began trying to cut off Hiei's head. The attacks were flying left and right, Yoko vs. Hiei and things weren't going well for Hiei.
The rest of the gang didn't know what to do; the fight was going so fast they might hit Hiei if they tried to intervene, either that or they would too severely hurt Kurama.
Hiei was dodging the attacks but Yoko was one step ahead, before Hiei could completely react Yoko had a thorny rose whip wrapped around Hiei. The thorns dug into his skin and if he tried to break out they would just go in further. Yoko went up to Hiei and wrapped the whip around his neck, he began to choke Hiei.
Sango reacted at this point in time by pulling out her sword and lunging at Yoko. Yoko barely dodged the attack but in order to dodge it he had to let go of Hiei. Hiei fell to the ground, the thorn whip still wrapped around him, he took a few deep breathes before he realized that Sango had just saved him, “D**n Slayer” and that Sango was loosing badly to Yoko.
Sango was thrown into a tree, but luckily was caught by Miroku. “Stop it Sango, You'll get yourself killed.” Miroku said as he helped her up.
Sango replied by heading towered Yoko again.
InuYasha decided to fight now; he took out his Tetsusaiga and went to do a backlash wave but was instead punched by Yusuke.
“What the Hell was that about!” He screamed at Yusuke.
“We don't want to kill him.” Yusuke screamed back.
“Says you.” InuYasha murmured.
Then Yoko charged towered Kagome. Kagome screamed but didn't have time to load an arrow.
Kurama clawed at her and slammed her into a tree.
InuYasha realized what was happening and went to Kagome's defense, he charged at Yoko but Yoko merely held up Kagome as a shield, InuYasha wouldn't attack because he could hit Kagome.
Then Yoko ripped the necklace that held the jewel shard from Kagome's neck and threw her.
InuYasha ran under Kagome and caught her only to find she had been knocked unconscious.
InuYasha set her down then charged at Yoko. Shippo went over to her then glared at Yoko for hurting his mother. He would of attacked Yoko if InuYasha wasn't already.
As InuYasha attacked Yoko turned and in a second had him rapped in twenty vines and unable to move.
Yoko ran towered Yusuke next. Yusuke didn't want to use a spirit gun because it may kill Yoko, instead the two of them got in a fist fight, threw nothing short of a miracle Yusuke managed to pin Yoko down with the help of Hiei.
“Snap out of it Kurama, don't you realize what your doing?” Yusuke screamed at Yoko. Yoko responded by having vines wrap around Hiei and Yusuke and pull them to a tree tying them down.
Yoko was advancing towered Hiei, his claws extended when a boomerang hit him in the head.
The boomerang flew around him and back to Sango who just glared at Yoko.
Yoko raised an eyebrow at her then charged, naturally he was much faster then her so within seconds he had his hand around her neck choking her. Yoko then spoke for the first time in a voice that was not his or Kurama's, it was Crece's; “Tell me slayer, who else has a jewel shard?” He looked at Sango who was suffocating.
“Ill…never…tell…you.” Sango said with no breath.
Yoko didn't like that response so he addressed the whole group of fighters; they wouldn't attack while he had Sango. “I know you have jewel shards, now tell me who has the jewel shards or this girl dies.” Yoko said in again Crece's voice.
“Don't…tell...him.” Sango said harshly and out of breath.
Yusuke and Hiei both had a piece of the jewel shard; they didn't want to hurt Sango but didn't want to betray a teammate. Just look what he did to Kagome when he found out she had a jewel shard.
When Yoko didn't get a response he clawed Sango across the stomach, “I wont ask again, who has the jewel shards.” He pushed harder on Sango's throat and she let out a muffled scream of pain.
“I have them, come and get them.” Hiei said as he struggled against the vines.
“Good.” Yoko threw Sango across into another tree and he headed towered Hiei, Sango choked up some blood but got up to her hands and knees. “Moron.” She said in Hiei's direction, but he ignored her.
Miroku, Kohoku, and Kirara ran towered Sango to try and help her.
“Miss Sango, are you okay?” Kohoku asked in concern.
“I'm fine.” She lied; they didn't believe her and tried to help her.
Yoko went up to Hiei and in one move cut the vines and pinned Hiei down on the ground.
Yoko did a bunch of lightning fast attacks on Hiei, blood was flowing from Hiei and a piece of the jewel shard fell to the ground. Yoko threw Hiei as if he was no more then a bag of trash and picked up the jewel shard, he put it next to Kagome's and the one he stole earlier from the village they were in.
Hiei smashed through a tree cutting it in half the tree landing on him.
Kuwabara tackled Yoko; he didn't bring out his spirit sword because it could kill Kurama. (Well at least Kuwabara thought it could.)
Yusuke also tried to fight after he had broken the vines but Yoko knocked him to the ground and clawed him, but Yoko sliced a pocked where Yusuke kept his jewel shard, Yoko grabbed it then raised a hand to kill Yusuke. Surprisingly InuYasha, who had just freed himself from the vines, stopped him.
InuYasha was the only one who wasn't holding back, he was ready to kill Kurama. Kagome began to wake up thanks to Shippo and looked to see Yoko have a backlash wave push him into a tree. “Stop InuYasha.” She screamed.
InuYasha ignored her but Yoko didn't. He ran up to her and in a second had her flat against the ground, he was about to strike her again when his eyes turned green.
“Kagome please forgive me, its Crece, he.” Kurama said in a strained voice but then his eyes went back to gold.
Crece must have realized that he was loosing control because Yoko got up and ran off, leaving the beaten band of his old teammates behind.
InuYasha would of gone after him but instead he ran to check on Kagome.
“Are you alright?” asked a concerned InuYasha.
“Yes, thank you InuYasha, I'm okay.” Kagome replied.
InuYasha looked off towered where Yoko ran.
“Kagome can you sense the jewel shards?” asked InuYasha, he wanted to finish his fight with Kurama.
“No they are too far away. But I know who is controlling him.” Kagome said quietly.
Yusuke who had been listening in spoke up, “Who is possessing him?”
“It's Crece from the demon slayers tribe.” Kagome said sadly.
“Then lets go find him.” InuYasha said when suddenly he bent over in pain.
“No, lets heal up a little.” Kagome said.
Although Yusuke didn't like it he had to agree with Kagome, a few members on their team were not ready for another battle. “Alright Kagome, lets go back to our time and get fixed up a little.”
“We cant, we don't have anymore jewel shards.” Kagome said sadly.
“What!!! You mean where stuck here?” Kuwabara panicked.
“Yes, until we get more jewel shards.” Kagome said sadly.
“Then lets just heal up here.” Shippo said as he pointed to one house that wasn't burned down.
“Okay and Shippo I want you to take my…take my…” Kagome looked around for her first aid kit.
“Oh, no, I forgot my first aid back home in the rush to go after Kurama!” Kagome panicked.
While the rest discussed what they were going to do Miroku went over to Sango who was struggling to get up. As he came closer Sango gave him a look that told him he better not come anywhere near her as she got up, pain evident in her face.
Sango looked over at Hiei, he was also unconscious under the heavy tree; she began to try and make her way over to him.
Hiei couldn't move and blood was coming from his mouth.
Sango ignored strange looks from Kohoku and Miroku and checked Hiei's pulse, he was alive but not by much.
Using what little strength she had left Sango slowly move the tree off Hiei, she about passed out but succeeded, Miroku and Kohoku just stared in shock. Sango bend down and looked at the smashed Hiei, he had a few holes in him from where Yoko had stabbed him with his claws and looked like he was having trouble breathing. The worst spot on him was his stomach and his arm they were bleeding badly.
Sango looked up and called over Shippo. “Shippo, go get Kagome's medical things NOW.” Shippo just looked at her in confusion, “Kagome lost her medical supplies.” Shippo said sadly. “Then get my other cloths.” She said urgently. Shippo did as he was told and ran off to get Sango's other outfit; she was wearing her demon slayers outfit.
Sango propped up Hiei's head on her knee to get blood flowing and began to rip of the bloody cloths around Hiei's injured stomach and arm. Shippo came and gave her the cloths.
Sango ripped her clothes and began to wrap Hiei's wounds. She wrapped his arm then began to wrap his stomach. Half way threw his stomach she had to pull a little hard and he woke up. Hiei looked at her and tried to get up but she pushed him right back down, she didn't say anything but continued to wrap him as he glared at her.
“What... are you… doing slayer?” Hiei barely breathed.
Sango didn't look at him as she continued to wrap his wounds, “I'm trying to stop your from bleeding to death.” She said in anger.
He just looked at her, “Why?”
Sango met his eyes and said a little softer then usual “Because you saved my life and I repay my depts.”
Hiei had trouble tearing his eyes off hers but he did, “Hn.” Anyway he couldn't get up if he wanted to.
Sango finished bandaging Hiei up but didn't move him, she was worried moving him would do more damage. Hiei struggled to keep his eyes open and on her but eventually they closed, as he lost consciousness he thought, `why does she do that? After everything I've done'
InuYasha got a fire going, Yusuke and Miroku got went fishing with Shippo after checking on the passed out Hiei, so they would have something to eat.
No one fought or even talked much, everyone was thinking about what would happen next.
After a small dinner, (Sango forced food down Hiei's thought, he was still passed out) of silence everyone went to bed, Sango fell asleep against a tree, Hiei's head on her lap. She wouldn't let anything hurt him.
Miroku watched her in sadness `I cant deny it anymore, she will never chose me over him.' Miroku sighed, “I'm sorry I couldn't be more for you Sango.” Miroku whispered. Then Miroku went into an uneasy sleep, a single tear fell from his eye.
InuYasha kept watch over Kagome, and the rest, `if that fox does come back, will Kagome chose him over me? No I'll kill him before that happen! I wont lose Kagome, Never!' InuYasha thought as he watched Kagome sleep.
Shippo snuggled with Kagome but didn't notice Kagome's soft tears falling to the ground. `What will happen? Would they kill Kurama? Sure they had lost today but that was because no one was fighting him all out, but that doesn't mean they would go all out tomorrow does it? Will they, could they kill Kurama? No, of course not. I would never let that happen.' Kagome went to bed with a knot in her stomach, she stayed up for hours until she cried herself to sleep worrying about the one missed more then she had ever missed anyone before, worried about Kurama.
