Freedom
***Near Naraku's Castle***
Kagura and a guest flew on her feather towered Naraku's castle. She was delivering Kikyo to Naraku and the strange part about it was that Kikyo wasn't trying to stop her. Quite the contrary, Kikyo seemed ready to go and see Naraku, almost excited. Kagura flew threw the barrier that surrounded the castle and took Kikyo to the window where Naraku always waited.
“Welcome.” Naraku said when Kagura and Kikyo came in.
“Naraku, I brought back the jewel shard.” Kikyo said calmly. “Now keep your end of the bargain.” Kikyo watched Naraku's every move.
“Of course, of course all in good time. But I must ask one more favor of you.”
“What do you want Naraku?” Kikyo hissed.
“I need a strong army, with my present situation I will be outnumbered by the half demon and miko. I need more demons. Do you know any?” Asked Naraku.
“Not strong enough for your army.” Kikyo answered truthfully.
“Well I do, I have been having the Shamiosho follow InuYasha and the others and I have learned something quite interesting. Did you know that the miko Kagome travels to a different time?” There was a pause then Kikyo answered;
“I assumed that considering she was my incarnation.”
“Yes but I know how. She goes threw a well, close to your village. All you need is a jewel shard and you can travel back to her world. I am planning to go to that world and track down some demons.” Naraku said watching Kikyo closely.
“What does that have to do with me?” Kikyo snapped.
“Well I will need someone who looks like Kagome with me in case if any questions arise. I need you to come with me to act like Kagome, I herd she has a home there and you could act like her and gather information about demons. My Shamiosho have told me a lot. Kagome's family runs a shrine so they should know something about strong demons. And from what I have gathered Kagome is connected with a high official of some spirit world or something like that, so you could gather information from them.” Naraku smiled.
“Will you keep your end of the bargain if I go with you to this `other time'?” Kikyo asked, ice lacing her voice.
“Yes, I will, this is the last task.” Naraku assured her.
“Fine, lets go.” Kikyo and Naraku went outside of the barrier towered the well that Kagome had traveled through so many times before.
***With the Gang. ***
Kagome slowly woke up. She stretched a little because her back was stiff from sleeping on the hard ground. She looked around and her little Shippo was sleeping next to her; she then focused on the rest of her sleeping teammates. Yusuke was sleeping next to Kuwabara who was sucking his thumb. InuYasha was nowhere to be seen. Kirara was curled up with a sleeping Kohoku on top of her. Miroku was near them, he was sleeping with his legs crossed, and he was facing Sango. Kagome was somewhat shocked with what she saw when she looked at Sango. Sango's back was up against a tree with a sleeping Hiei on her lap. `I don't care what those two say, I know they like each other.' Kagome thought as she watched her friend.
After examining the sleeping campers she decided to look around for InuYasha. She walked a little away from the camp and finally saw him. He was looking into a riverbank and catching fish, he didn't even look at her as she approached.
“Hey InuYasha, what are you doing?” Kagome asked softly.
“Catching fish.” Came InuYasha's short reply.
Kagome recognized the coldness in his voice. “Do you need any help?”
“Whatever, I can do it myself.” InuYasha said as he caught another fish and put it in a pile of 8 big fish.
“Wow you really caught a lot of fish. If you want I could cook them for breakfast.” Kagome looked at the dog demon hoping he would look at her.
“Whatever you want.” InuYasha said with a little anger in his voice, he just focused on the fish in the river.
“What's wrong InuYasha? Are you still mad that we didn't go after the Kurama?”
“No, it's not that.” InuYasha snapped.
“Then what is it InuYasha?” Kagome looked at him expecting the truth.
“Nothing, just leave me alone wench.” InuYasha said angrily, he hated having to talk to her right now; he just wanted to be alone.
“Fine.” Kagome angrily grabbed the fish he had caught and stomped back to camp.
InuYasha just watched his reflection, `I wish I hadn't of done that, she'll be mad all day.'
Oh how right he was.
Kagome stomped back to the camp muttering things like “Dumb Dog”, “Liar”, and “Hate Him.” She grabbed some sticks and put them in a pile then she went to grab a lighter but realized she had lost her whole bag of supplies including the lighter. `Great now what?' she looked around.
Shippo was sleeping peacefully, she nudged him awake; “Hey sweetie can you help me for a minuet?”
Shippo slowly opened his eyes and looked at her.
“Come on sweetie I need you to make a fire” Shippo slowly got up, went over to the sticks and made a small fox fire.
“Good job Shippo!” Kagome said as she began to stick and cook the fish.
Shippo stared at the fish, “Can I help you cook mama?”
“Sure, why don't you go down and ask the dog if he has caught anymore fish.” Kagome said icily.
Shippo realized she must be in a really bad mood to call InuYasha that, so Shippo just went down to go get the other fish.
As the smell of cooked fish filled the air some of the members of the group began to wake up.
Yusuke and Kuwabara were the first, Kagome mildly wondered if those two had a censer in them to alert them whenever food was around.
“Yum, it smells delicious.” Kuwabara tried to grab a fish but Kagome slapped his hand, “Do you want to get sick? There not ready yet.”
Kuwabara and Yusuke pouted, until they noticed a little three-eyed fire demon sleeping on Sango's lap.
“Wow, Someone's going to kill someone when one of those two wakes up.” Yusuke said as he studied them.
“I don't think so.” Kagome said as she watched them. “Sango only let him there because she was worried that he was too wounded to move, Hiei will probably think that's honorable or something so I bet nothing bad will happen.”
As Kagome said this Hiei began to wake up, slowly. `What am I lying on, this is more comfortable then my tree? What the…' Hiei woke up and realized that he was sleeping on the demons slayers lap and was looking up at her face.
He must have moved or something because it caused Sango to wake up, for a second they both just looked at one another then Hiei got up.
“Your too hurt to move idiot.” Sango snapped.
“I heal faster then you.” Hiei said as he walked away.
“Whatever you stubborn midget.” Sango yelled. Surprisingly Hiei didn't retort back, he didn't even stop he just walked away.
Kuwabara and Yusuke exchanged glances, what could make him not even respond to an insult?
Eventually InuYasha came back, all the fish were cooked and eaten. Nobody seemed to be in a good mood except Kohoku who kept on practicing with his scythe pretending his targets were Naraku. “Take that…and that…”
Miroku was silent the whole time; he barely talked and had an air of sadness around him.
The Yu Yu Hakusho gang, Shippo, and Kagome were anxious to find Kurama.
Sango and InuYasha were just angry.
After a while Hiei even returned, “Were healed up enough, let's go get Kurama.” Surprisingly everyone felt the same way, they were ready to go and kick some possessing butts. Even Sango didn't say anything; she just shot Hiei some angry loathing looks and muttered under her breath.
The group ran as fast as they could towered the cave, they had had enough and just wanted to get Kurama back. (Well some of them did, others were just looking for a fight.)
Kagome was thinking; `this is it Kurama were not leaving until we bring you back.'
***Demon Slayers Cave***
Kurama woke up in his dark cell. When he was possessed by Crece he came back to the cave and went into the cage, after giving Crece another piece of his hair. As soon as he was in the cage and the barrier was up he stopped being possessed, He stayed up watching the dark and quiet walls until he eventually just passed out from his fight against his friend.
Kurama was completely alone. He was in isolation and trapped, he felt helpless and a little hopeless. His mind kept playing cruel tricks on him; he kept on seeing visions of the battle he had just been in.
`What can I do? I hurt them, I hurt them all.' A vision of Hiei going through the tree passed through his mind. `I hope he is all right, what did I do?' He saw the determined look Sango gave him as he almost choked her to death. And Yusuke as he tied him up with vines. `They didn't fight back, they didn't want to hurt me.' A fresh wave of self hatred rushed over him as he saw Kagome terrified underneath him as he sliced at her. `How could she ever forgive me?'
He knew what he had to do; he couldn't exist if all he did was hurt the people he cared most about.
As Kurama got lost in his thoughts a visitor came in, Soloc.
Soloc slowly went up to Kurama thankful there was a barrier between them. “Hello mister Kurama Sir.” Kurama noticed he was covered in bruises and there was many wounds still bleeding, his anger towered Soloc shrank a little as he looked at his poor state of health.
“What do you want?” Kurama said coolly.
“I have been ordered to bring you some food.” Crece held up a plate with bread slices on it.
“You should know I will not eat.” Kurama said, it could be poisoned, but mostly it would give him energy the next time he fought his friends and he didn't want that.
“Oh, well okay.” Soloc put the food through the barrier and turned to go, then stopped.
“Please Kurama sir, please eat and stay alive, maybe you could stop him.” Soloc said nurturing a very bruised arm.
Kurama made no response and Soloc looked down sadly and left Kurama alone again.
Kurama sat there but after a few moments Crece came in.
Kurama stood up and braced himself.
“What's wrong Kurama? Don't like my cooking?” Crece smiled evilly.
“Let me go you despicable creature.” Kurama said angrily.
“Now, now, that's no way to talk to you master.” Kurama glared at him with pure loathing.
“I see you have still have not learned your place slave.” With that Crece shocked him with a lightning bolt.
Crece smiled evilly at Kurama's tormented face, “It's time I teach you a lesson you will never forget.” And with that Crece began the torturing session.
***Outside the Demon Slayers Cave***
The group of travelers finally made it to the demon slayers cave. They were standing at the entrance.
“InuYasha, do you smell Kurama?” Kagome asked as she studied the entrance.
“Yeah, he went through her for sure.” InuYasha said as he sniffed.
“Then lets go in…Spirit Gun.” Yusuke's spirit gun blew apart the door.
“You know we could have just opened it.” Sango said rolling her eyes.
“Yeah well what's the fun in that?” Yusuke replied.
They entered but as soon as they stepped through the door they saw a group of demon slayers blocking the next one.
“Move aside.” Yusuke said as he charged up.
“Yeah, get out of our way before I remove your legs and do it for you.” InuYasha said as he brought out the Tetsusaiga.
The Demon slayers replied by pulling out weapons of their own.
Sango used her boomerang and knocked out quite a few, everyone attacked the slayers and within ten minuets they were all unconscious.
The only damage sustained was Kuwabara getting a throwing star stuck in his arm. The rest of the group just got a few scars and scratches.
“That was too easy.” Hiei said as he looked around.
“I agree, that can't be all their forces.” Kagome said.
They then went through another door, and then another, InuYasha sniffing out the way Kurama had gone.
They walked through many doors and many passages.
“Are you sure your taking us to the right place mutt?” Asked Yusuke.
“What do you think?” InuYasha said in an annoyed mutter, he really was starting to hate Yusuke.
“How do we know we can trust you? We all know you hate Kurama?” Yusuke decided to push the boundaries with the annoyed half demon.
“If you don't trust me enough go your own way and I'll get the jewel shards.” InuYasha said hoping Yusuke would so he would be rid of him.
Yusuke didn't reply he just followed the rest of the group, until InuYasha suddenly stopped.
“His sent is strongest in here, he's threw this door.”
Everyone braced themselves for what they would see; Kagome was the one to open the door first.
The room was dark but they could still see what was in there. The room was bare except for a small cage; to Kagome's horror in the cage laid an unconscious Kurama.
Kagome ran towered the cage only thinking one thing; `please be alive, oh please be alive!'
Nobody stopped her, they all waked cautiously in.
Kagome ran up to the cage, she reached out a hand towered the door but was shocked painfully.
Realizing she couldn't get through she kneeled down on the ground, to the level of Kurama. “Kurama…Please wake up…Kurama.” For a few seconds he didn't respond then slowly he stirred.
Relief poured over Kagome, `he's alive, thank goodness.'
Kurama pushed himself up, blood flowed from some new injuries Crece had inflicted on him. He felt dizzy but one thing was not mistaken, he had herd Kagome's voice. Kurama looked up and saw her, relief overcame him.
“Kagome.” He whispered.
“Yes Kurama, I'm here. Don't worry well get you out of here.” With that Kagome looked at InuYasha. “It's the same barrier we were in before, use your Tetsusaiga to blast it open.” InuYasha was reluctant but did a wind scar and broke the barrier and the door on the cage, Kagome rushed in.
Everyone else was relieved to see Kurama was okay but were wondering how he got in the condition he was in. `what happened to the fox, we didn't hurt him that much when we fought him.' Hiei thought, Yusuke thinking the same thing.
Kagome went up to Kurama and kneeled down next to him. “Kurama what happened?” She asked as she looked over the damage.
“It's nothing, just Crece trying to `teach me a lesson.'” Kurama then looked into those beautiful eyes he could always get lost in, they were crying.
Kagome stared up at him then she threw her arms around him. “Kurama, I was so scared I would never see the real you again.” Kurama paused for as second before wrapping his arms around her too. `I guess she does forgive me.' He smiled and held her tighter. Kagome hugged him and didn't want to let go, she was scared that letting go might make it just a dream or not real, Kurama felt the same way.
After a few minuets Kurama knew what had to be done. “Kagome, I want you to get out of here.” Kagome looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. “I don't understand.”
“Crece can posses me at any time, I could hurt you if you don't go away, you need to get away from me, get to safety.” Kagome looked up at him, “I'm not leaving you again, well find him and stop him but I'm not abandoning you.” Kurama smiled softly then muttered, “thank you Kagome.” As he hugged her again.
Meanwhile the other members of the group were giving them a little bit of private time. They were glad that Kurama was okay, well all except InuYasha.
InuYasha felt like his heart was being ripped out when Kagome hugged Kurama. He knew it was over but he didn't want to believe it. He didn't know what to do, he just turned away, and he couldn't bear to watch them.
Yusuke and Kuwabara were thrilled that Kurama was okay but decided that since this was the first girl he had been with, they should give him some space.
Kuwabara whispered to Yusuke; “Kurama and Kagome sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G-, first comes…” and Yusuke was laughing, he hadn't been in this good a mood since Kurama had gone in the first place.
Miroku was holding a struggling Shippo. “Come on Miroku, I want to see Kurama.”
“No Shippo, give them a little space, I'm sure they would want it.” Miroku gave a lectures grin while looking at the pair.
Kohoku and Kirara were looking out for danger. Sango was smiling “Its about time she found someone decent.”
Hiei seemed completely uninterested but he smirked, `its about time fox.'
Shippo finally got out of Miroku's hands and ran into Kurama with quite a bit of force as he yelled, “I missed you.”
Kurama received the little fox demon then smiled, “I missed you too little one, how have you been?”
Shippo smiled, he was glad to be called “little one” again.
InuYasha was the only one ready to break this up, “Okay lets go kill Crece and get the jewel shards.” He said angrily.
Everyone seemed to be snapped out of their thoughts realizing that just because they had Kurama that didn't mean the mission was over.
“I agree, lets go kick some bad guy butt.” Yusuke said happily. “Kurama, do you know where he is?”
Kurama nodded, “He spends all his time in that room.” He said pointing to another room in the cell.
Hiei decided to act now, he had a score to settle with the man who made his most trusted allies attack him and make him in debt with the slayer.
Hiei went over to the door and in one slice of his sword cut the door off its hinges and onto the floor.
Inside was very dark, so dark you could not see anything.
“Ah, welcome, I was wondering when you would come.” Crece's voice rang out from the darkness.
Slowly the lights came on and the whole demon slayers tribe was reveled carrying lots of weapons.
“If you want to destroy me, you'll have to get through them first.” Crece laughed.
Crece then ran into another room and the Slayers started to advance on the group.
“Don't kill them!!!” Kagome shouted out. “They are humans, there just following orders, don't kill them!!!”
Some of the group was annoyed at this but they knew she was right.
InuYasha sheathed his Tetsusaiga and went to attack them only using his fists. Hiei decided not to kill them either; he didn't need more human blood on his hands so he only used the hilt of his sword.
Normally this would not be much of a threat except that there were just so many of the slayers and they couldn't kill them.
Kurama was still recovering from his wounds but Yusuke, Kagome, Shippo and Kuwabara tried to watch his back if he was in trouble. Sango, Miroku, Hiei, Kirara, Kohoku, and InuYasha were just trying to fight and punch out the slayers.
Some slayers came out that had some truly dangerous weapons; one had a knife on both of his hands and his feet, he was a master of Karate and he was beating Miroku up, though Miroku was blocking with his staff mostly.
Sango's boomerang got stuck in a wall and she was locked in combat with sword wielding slayer. Things were looking good until Sango's sword got knocked out of her hand. She was dodging the other sword well but it kept on getting closer to hitting her.
The other slayer smiled, now that she was disarmed it should be easy. Sango didn't think so, she fought back, Sango started kicking and punching. The sword-wielding slayer was getting beat up when three other slayers came forward to help him. Sango was outnumbered and everyone else on her team seemed busy. She dodged one sword and punched the guy but then another one came down on her.
Kagome was fighting too. One slayer came from behind her and attacked. Kurama saw that in time and blocked with his rose whip. He could stand and fight okay but he was just in pain when he did it; still he would never let anyone hurt Kagome while he was alive.
Hiei was taking out a slayer when he looked over at Sango; she was facing four other slayers and wasn't doing too good; she had just gotten stabbed in the side of her stomach, but she punched the slayer that did it.
Sango was thrown down very hard. She landed and looked up, she saw the one slayer's sword headed strait towered her heart, there was nothing she could do, the sword raced towered her then blood splattered on her, but it wasn't hers. Hiei was standing with his back to her; the sword was through his stomach and blood was flowing out but he looked at her as if checking to make sure she was all right. A shadow of a smile came on his face and he pulled out the sword and cut the demon slayers head off, Sango was shocked, Hiei just jumped in front of a sword for her, he sacrificed himself for her safety.
Hiei knocked out the other slayers then stumbled slightly because of blood loss, Sango went to help him but he pulled away and continued fighting.
While the rest of the group fought the demon slayers Kurama went back into the room that Crece went into, alone.
Crece looked at him and smiled, “What are you going to do? I have all the power I need against you.” Crece said as he pulled out a single red hair.
Crece began to send the power through the hair and he succeeded, Kurama turned into Yoko and he looked at Crece.
“There see, you can never win.” Crece laughed.
“I will never be your slave again.” Yoko said slowly as Kurama fought control.
“Wait, what…this is impossible, you can't regain control.” Crece said in complete horror as Kurama began to win.
“Its not impossible, I just won…and you just lost.” Kurama was standing in front of him, red hair and all.
“Wait, think of what your doing.” Crece tried but as he said it a rose whip appeared from a rose in Kurama's hand. With one flick of his wrist the rose whip whorled around Crece and tied him up.
InuYasha burst through the door at that time, he looked at the situation and made a huge backlash wave towered Crece.
Crece was flown back and smashed up against the wall, he fell down…dead.
The rest of the gang came in and looked at him.
“Well, at least that's all over, the other demon slayers are out cold.” Miroku said trying to make things more upbeat then they were.
Kagome ran over to Kurama, “Are you alright?”
“Yes Kagome, don't worry about me. I'm fine.” Kurama tried to convince her but didn't do too good of a job.
“We need to get out of here, lets go.” Kagome went over to Kurama and helped him up, he gladly accepted it.
Kagome looked around, most everyone was a little injured, she looked down and saw to her delight her bottle filled with all the jewel shards that were stolen, she picked it up.
“InuYasha can you go back threw the well and get my bag, you're the fastest one of us who isn't injured.” Kagome looked at him with pleading eyes.
“Feh, whatever.” InuYasha said as he took a jewel shard and ran off.
“He'll be back soon, until then lets get out of this cave.” Luckily InuYasha's backlash wave put a hole in the wall to the outside, it was nightfall.
Everyone walked out and Kagome helped Kurama.
Sango seemed to be the only one who noticed that Hiei was having some difficulty walking. The new sword wound together with the wounds he got yesterday made it so he could barely even walk. Sango went over towered him and caught him just as he fell on some of the rocks.
“Hn, I don't need help.” He glared at her.
Sango tried to steady him but he pulled away and kept walking obviously wanting to be alone.
The whole group got out of the cave and found a new camping spot. Shippo and Miroku gathered firewood and Kagome set up some pots.
After a roaring fire started InuYasha showed up with all there sleeping bags and Kagome's bag, he even gave back the jewel shard but didn't look happy about it.
“Thank you InuYasha, just for that I'll make everyone roman.” InuYasha perked up slightly after hearing this.
Kagome began to cook the soup after she used her medical supplies to help Kurama and most of the other members who needed it, but Hiei was gone.
Sango had watched Hiei go and knew where he was, she went over to Kagome. “Hey Kagome, can I take some of your medical supplies?”
Kagome knew exactly what she was going to do. “Of course Sango.” And she gave Sango all the supplies she would need to patch up Hiei.
Sango grabbed those and wrapped them in her sleeping bag and went off towered where Hiei had gone.
“Do you think that's a good thing to do Kagome?” Kurama asked as he watched Sango's outline disappear at the edge of the woods.
“Yes, they'll be fine.” Kagome said happily. She looked around and everyone else was asleep after dinner. She looked up at Kurama and they both seemed to be thinking the same thing. She kissed him and he kissed back, then they both pulled there sleeping bags closer together as they drifted off to sleep in each others arms.
***Deeper in the Woods***
Sango walked into the woods carrying her sack of a sleeping bag and the medical supplies. As she walked she herd a grunt of pain. She looked over and on the ground Hiei had his eyes closed and pain evident on his face.
Sango walked over to him slowly so as not to startle him.
Hiei opened his eyes and looked at her, “Hn, what do you want?”
“I…I just.” Great she was stuttering around him, she set down her sleeping bag and opened it up, “I just wanted to get you these medical supplies.” Sango said quietly not meeting Hiei's eyes.
“I don't need any help.” Hiei said annoyed.
“Yes you do.” Sango said it in a very strong way, Hiei could tell she wouldn't take no for an answer. “Hn, fine.”
Hiei reached for the medical supplies but to his horror he let out a gasp of pain before he reached it.
Instead of gloating like he thought she would Sango just got the bandages for him, she moved next to him and began to wrap his sword injury.
Hiei looked at her in puzzlement, one minuet she hates him and the next she is trying to save his life. “Why do you do that?” He asked her.
“Do what.” She replied calmly.
“Why do you try to help me when you should just let me suffer after everything I've done to you.” Hiei said angrily.
Sango paused for a moment, “Answer me first.” She met his eyes, “Why did you put yourself in front of the sword?”
Sango finished with the bandaging and was looking strait into his eyes, her cold stare was almost unbearable.
“Because I…” Hiei broke off and turned away from her gaze.
“Because what Hiei? Why do you do those things.” Sango's remark caught him off guard, she had never used his name before.
Hiei paused then answered quietly, “Because I would never forgive myself if I let something happen to you.” He looked away, not daring to meet her eye, he didn't know what made him tell the truth, it was just time.
Sango was taken aback, “Do you mean that?”
Hiei looked up, then nodded slowly, never taking his eyes off her.
Sango stared into his eyes then moved towered him, slowly her face got closer until her lips pressed softly against his.
Hiei was shocked, but none the less he pressed against her lips and deepened the kiss. Sango put her arms around him and he wrapped his arms around her, neither believing what was happening, neither daring to break it.
After a few minuets they broke apart, but they stared into each others eyes. “Does that answer your question?” Sango smiled at him.
Hiei smirked then pulled her closer to him and kissed her again.
When they broke apart the second time Sango smirked again, “I knew you couldn't resist me, no one can.”
Hiei chuckled evilly at that remark, “I believe you're the one that cant resist me, after all, your are only human.”
Sango responded by pulling him into a very passionate kiss, one that earned her a groan from the fire demon.
She pulled away, “Told you.”
Hiei responded to the challenge by pulling her into another passionate kiss, dominated by him this time, Sango groaned.
When they broke apart Hiei had a very arrogant look on his face. “Humans are so weak.”
Sango pulled Hiei into another kiss, this time both fought for dominance the whole time until they pulled apart.
When they pulled apart Sango sat next to him and rested her head on his shoulders with her arms wrapped around him in such a way not to push against his stomach wound but still to keep hold of him.
Hiei looked down at her resting on him. He smiled a truly happy smile, not sinister or evil but content and happy. “Who said you could lay against me?” He said with coldness in his voice.
“I did.” Sango replied.
Hiei couldn't argue with that logic so he just wrapped his arms around her and pulled her a little closer.
They sat there together up against the tree, then Hiei realized that Sango was shivering.
“What's wrong?” Hiei spoke for the first time somewhat softly and gently.
“I'm just cold.” She said quietly.
Hiei grabbed the sleeping bag lying next to him and he covered both himself and Sango.
“Thanks.” Sango said as she cuddled closer to Hiei and the warmth.
“Hn, weak human.” But as Hiei said that he held Sango very protectively and lovingly in his arms. She smiled “dumb demon.” and drifted off into sleep, her head rested on his shoulder.
Hiei looked down at her but then cautiously rested his head on hers and slowly fell asleep too, but for the first time in his life into a content sleep; a happy sleep with the feeling that there are wonderful things in this world, and he was holding the most precious of them all.
***Kagome's Shrine***
Naraku climbed out of the well followed by Kikyo.
“Perfect, it worked, we have crossed into the miko's era.” Naraku said happily.
“I don't care, what do you want me to do?” Kikyo said in an annoyed voice.
Before Kikyo could answer an old man came out of the house and walked towered them.
“Kagome is that you? Why did you come back so soon?” He looked up at Naraku, “Who is this? Is he a friend of yours?”
Kikyo responded with a look from Naraku, “Yes he's a friend, now tell me have there been any demons near here?”
Grandpa was a little taken aback from the lack of caring in her voice but still nodded, “Yes there have been many demons coming from the other side of town.” He studied who he thought was his granddaughter.
“Good.” Kikyo and Naraku began to move towered the town.
“Wait Kagome, you have to come inside and rest up, you can't wonder the streets on your own!” Grandpa yelled at Kikyo.
“Your usefulness has ended.” Naraku said as he sent a tentacle flying at the old man and made a solid hit. Then him and Kikyo went to go see what demons could be on the other side of town.
As they walked Kikyo smiled and thought, `serves that little soul stealer right, if it was up to me I would kill all her family.' She looked at Naraku, `maybe I can get revenge for everything that soul stealer has don't to me.' Kikyo happily thought about this as they made there way down the street, looking for any signs of demons to recruit and use against Kagome and the others.
What will happen with Kikyo and Naraku? Did gramps really die? What will happen when the others find out about Sango and Hiei? Review then read the next chapter of Testing Times.
I really hope you enjoyed the Hiei and Sango part, if you did please review. Oh and one more thing, PLEASE REVIW, I'm desperate for reviews. Okay well thanks for reading,
