Relationships and Relaxation

***Genkai's Temple***

Yukina, Genkai, Kagome, and now Kikyo were the only ones awake in the room of their injured friends. All awake eyes were on Kikyo. The silence was chilling, but Kagome decided she should be the one to break the ice.

“Um, Kikyo. What do you mean it worked?” She studied the ex-clay pot not really knowing how she would act.

“I mean,” Kikyo looked up for the first time to her incarnate, “Is that I became human.” She then looked at the others who were looking at her. “Who are you?” She said with a little anger in her voice.

Genkai looked a little mad that she was being addressed like this from someone that she just healed.

Kagome sensed the anger and jumped in immediately. “They are some friends of ours, they are responsible for healing you.” Kagome looked into Kikyo's eyes. It was strange to see them with life in them, not her usual dull, checked-out look. “And Kikyo, can you tell us how you became human?”

“Yes.” Kikyo smiled, but this time it looked a little happy and calm. “I made Naraku change me.”

“What??? You got help from him?” Kagome was shocked she would sink to that level.

“Yes.” Replied Kikyo looking even calmer. “I made a deal with him and in return he made me human.”

Kagome was a little confused, “How did he make you human, and what did you have to do?”

Kikyo looked down, she evidently wasn't proud of what she did. “If I tell you, will you not hold it against me Kagome? I did it in a time when I was a different person then I am now. I was a person without emotion, without joy or regret. Now I am fully human and deeply regret what I did.”

Kagome thought about it, “Don't worry, I understand. I won't hold it against you.”

Kikyo was about to open her mouth when there was a stirring in a cot behind her; InuYasha had just woken up, thanks to the fact that Kikyo wasn't trying to keep her voice down.

Kurama, InuYasha, and Miroku were the closest to Kikyo and the girls talking, so all three of them woke up too, Miroku was still dizzy but managed to focus enough to hear what was being said. They managed to find an antidote for the Shamiosho poison.

Kikyo looked at all of them, some she didn't even recognize but she knew they wouldn't hurt her. Her eyes linked with InuYasha for a moment then she tore herself away to look back at Kagome.

“Alright Kagome, Ill tell you.” She decided to continue as if the three had not woken up. “I went to Naraku to become human because it was the one thing I wanted more than anything else, and I knew that if anyone could do it, he could.”

InuYasha piped in here; “What??? You went to that sleaze-ball for a favor?”

Kikyo ignored him and continued; “He said that he could help me, but first I would have to do something for him. In the present situation that I was in, I didn't care what I had to do, even if it meant helping Naraku.” There was a pause, no one knew what to say, but Kikyo continued with her story. “He told me to gather some of the jewel shards because he knew that I could see them. So I tracked down a few, I don't know how many. I eventually came face to face with lots of demon's including a wolf demon who had two jewel shards, well that demon got away, he was very fast and apparently didn't want to fight.”

Kagome gave a sigh of relief, for a moment she thought that Kikyo had hurt Koga. After all, he still was a friend and they still have to get the jewel shards from him.

Kikyo continued, “Unfortunately he was the only one to get away, I killed many demons to get the jewel shards. I feel horrible now that I can feel what I have done, but at the time I had no remorse.” She then looked around the room sadly.

“Then I confronted Naraku and told him it was time that I got what I was promised, which was to be human.” Everyone seemed to be lost in thought, `how could Kikyo become human, what hasn't she told us and why was she attacking us if she suddenly had this `change of heart.' InuYasha thought bitterly.

“He told me the last task I had to do was to come with him to this time period, he said that he wanted to get a demon army, which he did…those demons that fought you in the alleyway were from demon world.” Kikyo thought for another second. “I went with him and we ended up attacking who I assume is your grandfather, I'm sorry for that Kagome.” The strange thing was she really did seem like she was sorry, her voice was filled with remorse.

“With my help Naraku rounded up all those demons. After we did that I confronted him again and told him he had to fill his end of the bargain. He agreed that I had done enough. He took me into a very deep dungeon, but I couldn't tell you where it is, I have lost most memory of that night. He yelled things I can't remember into the darkness, I think there was a demon in there. Eventually a creature emerged from the shadows and it muttered a lot of confusing words then I felt as if I was being turned inside out, it was a horrible feeling…” She took a deep breath, all eyes were on her.

“The next thing I knew I was in the air, floating on a feather. I had no control over what I was doing. My guess is that Naraku controlled me like he did that boy.” She pointed to a bed where Kohoku laid. “I tried to fight it and I finally got control, that's when I hit Kagura. After that I was here.” She looked at the others reactions.

Kurama was the first to say anything, “If he could control you, why would he make you human first?”

“My guess is that humans are easier to control because they have emotions.” She chuckled, “and he believes humans are easier to kill.”

Silence once again filled the room.

Kagome began to feel a little uncomfortable. If what Kikyo said was true then there was some demon out there that could change people's forms that would be a dangerous demon. `What if he could also change half-demons into demons?' She looked over at InuYasha who seemed to be thinking along those same lines.

“Where is this demon Kikyo?” InuYasha asked in a softer voice…well soft for InuYasha.

“I told you I don't know where he is.” Kikyo looked directly into InuYasha's eyes again, this time not tearing them away so quickly.

“We might want to start looking for the demon when everyone gets their strength back.” Genkai said, as she looked at all the beds filled with the injured members of their team.
Kikyo seemed to get a wave of sleepiness for she lay down and turned her back on InuYasha and the others and fell asleep.

Kagome watched as everyone else went to sleep. InuYasha was the only one awake and he just stared at Kikyo's back in deep thought.

Mixed emotions flew through Kagome as she watched the half-demon. But then a hand rested on her shoulder. “You should really get to bed Kagome, you'll need your strength tomorrow.” Kurama said kindly as he helped move her to her bed.

Kagome smiled up at Kurama, “Okay, thank you Kurama.” She gave him a peck on the cheek then she went to bed. `Well I guess everything will work out for the best after all.'

Kagome thought as she fell into the first deep sleep since she had first heard the name Naraku.

***Morning at Genkai's shrine***

The sun was shining brightly, everything seemed rather peaceful. Kurama woke up slowly to the lovely sound of birds chirping. He looked down at his stomach, thanks to Yukina it seemed that his injuries were completely healed. He looked around at all his sleeping friends

His eyes rested on the most beautiful one. (Well at least to him) He smiled and just watched Kagome. A little Shippo was lying on her chest snoring a very little snore, he chuckled to himself.

Then he noticed that Hiei had woken up. Hiei was sitting on his bed completely focused on Sango.

Kurama decided that it was time he talked to Hiei…With so much going on he barely had any time to see how his friend was doing.

He calmly got up and walked towered the door outside, he turned around and saw the fire demon's eyes were on him. He motioned for Hiei to follow, and shockingly he did.
Hiei got up and followed Kurama into the garden, taking one last emotionless glance at Sango.

When they were far into the garden Kurama turned around and looked at Hiei.
Hiei seemed a little distracted so Kurama made the first motion at communicating.
Before Kurama could speak Hiei said something, “What happened fox?”

Kurama remembered that Hiei blacked out while they were halfway through the fight with Naraku.

“Naraku's dead.” Kurama began, “Unfortunately we have also suffered some losses of our own, many are injured.”

“What happened to her?” Hiei didn't need to say Sango's name, Kurama knew who he meant.

“After you blacked out, Naraku started attacking you. Then Sango started attacking him and in a way defended you. She got quite a few good hits before he picked her up and threw her through a building. Then after numerous attacks we managed to kill Naraku.”
Hiei appeared not to have heard that last part, “Has she woken up?”

Kurama was quite shocked how open Hiei was being about Sango. “No, She has been unconscious, we don't know how her condition is.”

Hiei got angry and punched a tree so hard it cracked through the center. “I knew she was too weak to fight.” He said more to himself then to Kurama.

Kurama looked at his friend carefully. He seemed to have changed a lot since the beginning of this mission. “Hiei.” Hiei turned his stare toward Kurama.

“You should tell Sango how much you care about her.” Kurama said it knowing that the response would not be pleasant.

“I don't care about that annoying, pathetic…” Hiei stopped dead in his tracks, Kurama was smiling.

“What's so funny fox?” Hiei glared at his friend.

“I think thou doth protest too much.” Kurama chuckled. “Hiei, what's the point. If you don't say something she might move on. Even though she would never admit it, the fact that she stood in front of you in battle show's she likes you.” Hiei looked deep in thought.

“I know that you are afraid of rejection, but…” Hiei snapped out of his thought's and looked ready to kill.

“I am not afraid of anything…Especially that slayer, and I don't care what she thinks of me”

“Then just tell her that you like her.” Kurama was smiling, he had Hiei exactly where he wanted, Sango needed to know that her feelings were returned.

“Fine.” With that Hiei turned around and walked back into the temple.

`That was easier then I thought it would be.' Kurama thought happily. `Those two have been annoying me, its about time one of them took charge. They both will be happier when its out in the open.' Then Kurama followed Hiei into the temple.

***Inside the Temple***

Kagome woke up, she looked around. Two beds were empty, Kurama's and Hiei's. She decided to look at all her friends and see how they were doing. She walked from bed to bed. Thanks to Yukina and Botan most flesh wounds were healed up. Most bruises and bangs were all healed up too.

She was thankful that everyone was breathing and seemed to be in much better shape then the night before.

Kagome made her way to the last bed where Sango lay, she bent down and checked her pulse. She regretted this immediately when Sango woke up and punched her in the face.

“Who's there, I should kill…” Sango looked down on the floor and saw Kagome holding her nose.

“Oh, Kagome I'm sooooo sorry. I thought you were…I mean…How's your nose?” Sango bent down and helped Kagome up.

“It's okay Sango, I was far enough away that you didn't really hurt me.” Kagome chuckled, “Well I see your feeling better.”

Sango smiled and nodded, “Yes I feel ton's better, but where are we? What happened in the battle?”

Kagome told Sango all about the battle and the end of Naraku. She told her how everyone seemed to be in better health.

“Yeah, what about the midget?” Sango acted like if the answer didn't matter, except her hand was shaking.

Kagome decided to play a trick on her poor friend Sango, she sunk her head low and quietly muttered; “Unfortunately he's dead, he didn't survive Naraku's attack.”

Sango just stared at her, “What?” Sango could barely breath. “He, he…No.” Sango tried to calm herself, “I can't, and He didn't…” And to Kagome's surprise a tear ran down Sango's cheek, then another…and another.

Sango was trying not to cry but it wasn't working. “That moron…I hate him, he was too pathetic to fight….and…”

Kagome was about to tell Sango she was joking, that Hiei was all right. When she was about to say it a colder voice came out as Hiei emerged from a shadowed corner of the room, evidently he had been listening.

“Stop your sobbing you weak pathetic excuse for a worrier.” Hiei said sounding as cold as ever.

Hiei did not get the insult he thought he would get. Instead Sango stared at him, the tears still rolling down her eyes. Then she jumped out of bed and threw her arms around him holding him tightly.

Hiei didn't know how to respond, but in the corner of his eye he saw Kurama. Kurama motioned to him to comfort Sango.

He then sort of rubbed her back and she still didn't release him. “You moron, don't you do that again, I swear, I wont let you die. I don't want to be alone again.” Sango was a little hysterical, but Hiei understood what she meant. He knew that she had lost so many of her loved ones and that she really did care for him.

Hiei pulled Sango away and kiss her on the lips. When they parted he stared into her eyes and said quietly “I wont let you be alone again.”

Sango smiled a relieved smile and kissed him, “I wont let you be alone either.”

“Well its about fricken time!!!” an annoyed InuYasha said as he watched the pair.

Sango and Hiei suddenly noticed that everyone in the room had woken up when Sango began crying, all eyes were on them.

“Wow, who'd a thought shortie would ever get a girl?” Kuwabara said dumbly.

“You idiot, stop ruining the moment.” Yusuke yelled at Kuwabara louder.

“Be quiet and leave them alone.” Botan said cheerily.

“Oh I think its lovely.” Yukina said happily.

“Well I guess I'll have to ask Hiei before I stroke Sango's butt now.” Miroku said with laughter in his voice.

“Miroku you pervert leave them alone!!!” Kagome said annoyed.

“Mommy, are Sango and Hiei going to have kids, I want someone to play with.” Poor innocent Shippo said happily.

“Wow, I hope not, Hiei's kids would be evil.” Kuwabara said as he shuddered.

“Yikes, I'm too young to be an uncle!!!” Kohoku said in a worried tone as he petted Kirara.

“Come on you morons, leave the two love birds alone, its time for breakfast.” Genkai said as she came out of the kitchen.

Hiei and Sango were completely embarrassed, both wanted to get out of there and both were having a very hard time stopping themselves from killing someone.

Everyone went into the kitchen even Sango and Hiei who sat next to each other. Don't get me wrong, they didn't cuddle, instead they fought over who got extra servings. (Apparently Hiei did not hate human food, he just hated the humans that ate it. So he actually somewhat enjoyed the breakfast.)

Kurama and Kagome delayed going to the breakfast table. Kurama looked at Kagome with interest. “Why did you tell Sango that Hiei was dead?”

Kagome chuckled. “Because, I knew that Hiei was standing right there and if he saw that Sango really did care for him he could admit he liked her back.”

“That sounds like a really risky plan…I'm glad it worked out.” Kurama laughed softly.

“What did you expect, all my plans work out.” Kagome said as she watched Sango throw a pancake at Hiei.

“Yes they do.” Kurama came over and kissed Kagome on the lips. “And now I believe we should get to breakfast.” Kagome smiled and they both went to the dining room where an extreme food fight was breaking out.

***Later in the day***

Most of the day had passed; everyone seemed to be in really great spirits. Everyone felt a huge weight lifted off their shoulders, Naraku was dead and things were great. Miroku was probably most in spirits because finally his wind tunnel was gone. He kept on pretending to suck up Shippo and the others until Hiei threatened to take his sword and give Miroku a new hole.

Miroku hit on Yukina but quickly stopped when a spirit sword was aimed right for his head.

“Leave my Yukina alone monk!!!” Kuwabara yelled.

“Your Yukina?” asked Miroku.

“Yes, she is my one true love and I could never live without her.” Kuwabara said getting caught up in his love monolog again.

“Okay, fine, I won't mess with her. I don't want you to be any more crazy then you already are.”

Hiei also gave Miroku a rather cold glare, then he knocked Kuwabara unconscious for saying `my Yukina.' Sango noticed this. “So midget…what's up with the ice demon?”
Hiei glared at her, “Nothing.” He looked away from Sango.

“I don't believe you.” Sango said angrily.

Hiei wouldn't tell Sango so she eventually lounged her sword at him, while they were fighting Kagome went over to Kurama.

“Why is Hiei so defensive about Yukina?” Kagome asked Kurama.

Kurama debated weather to tell Kagome. “If I tell you, can I have your word that you wont tell a soul?” He looked into those beautiful brown eyes he loved so much.

“Of course Kurama, I won't tell.” Kagome said back.

“Okay.” Kurama whispered in her ear; “Yukina is Hiei's sister.”

Kagome immediately jumped up, “His WHAT????”

“Settle down Kagome, he doesn't want anyone to know.” Kurama tried to reason with her. “Yukina can't even know.”

Kagome looked shocked. “How could she not know?”

Kurama explained the whole forbidden child thing to Kagome. “Now Kagome, you promised you wouldn't tell.”

“Oh, okay Kurama.” Kagome said trying to look convincing.

Kurama didn't know if he believed she could keep such a big secret. `Maybe that was a bad idea?'

Miroku was so happy that his wind tunnel was finally gone. He went over to Botan and they both began talking.

“So you are the grim reaper?” He said with a smile.

“Yes, Its not as easy a job as you might think.” Botan said.

“I wouldn't think that it was, I don't know if I could do it, I would get too depressed.” Miroku said with a charming smile.

That seemed to make Botan even happier.

“I try to stay in good spirits though, what's the good of being all sad about it.”

“I agree, life is too short to be sad.” Miroku said happily, he could get to know this girl.
“Yes, I defiantly believe that…” Botan couldn't finish her sentence because Miroku had begun to stroke her butt.

“Excuse me but what are you doing?” Botan asked a little outraged.

“You just looked so beautiful I couldn't resist.” Miroku said trying to put on his most charming smile he could muster.

“Oh, well that's sweet but don't do that.” Botan said as she removed his hand.

“Botan, can I ask you a question?” Miroku asked in all seriousness.

“Of course.” Botan said a little cautiously.

“Botan. Will you bear my children?”

Botan smacked him so hard that he couldn't see strait for hours. `Man, I never thought I would ever find someone who could hit as hard as Sango. Oh well, on to the next target.'

A few hours went by, Kagome could barely keep her secret inside. Sango had known Kagome for a very long time and could tell she was keeping something from her. “Come on Kagome, what is it? What aren't you telling me?”

Kagome managed to stay quiet for a whole two hours of Sango begging her to share her secret…but then she gave up.

“Okay Sango but if I tell you do your promise to keep it a secret?” Sango nodded her head and Kagome told her Hiei's little secret.

A few minuets later Sango burst out of the room. She ran right past everyone and went out into the garden. “Come out her now midget!!!” She yelled at a group of trees.

Hiei came down and looked at Sango, “What do you want slayer?”

Sango looked him dead in the eyes, “Why didn't you tell me you had a sister?”

Hiei looked like an anvil had just been dropped on his head. He began to stutter with shock and anger, “W-Where did y-you hear that?”

“That's not important. Why don't you just go up there and tell Yukina you are her brother.” Hiei looked like he was debating on running or cutting Sango's head off. Unfortunately for him she was not scared.

“If you don't tell her then I will.” Sango made her point very clear. Hiei felt like even if he tried it would do no good.

“Hn…Fine.” For the second time that day he was going into Genkai's temple to do something he had tried not to do his whole life.

Unfortunately for Hiei Yukina was not hard to find. She even looked up and greeted him, “Hello Hiei, what can I do for you?”

Hiei looked around the room not sure how to put what he wanted to say into words. “I just came to…to…” He didn't know why it was taking him so long.

Sango jumped in at this moment. “Hiei wants to tell you that he is your brother.”

Yukina looked beyond shocked. “Is that true Hiei?”

Hiei didn't look at her, he simply nodded his head. Then for the second time that day unexpected arms flew around him. “I finally found you big brother. Why didn't you tell me sooner?”

Sango decided to leave them alone. Hiei looked shocked and annoyed, she could tell that only one thought was going through his head, `I'm going to kill Kurama.'

Hiei eventually escaped from Yukina to track down Sango. `Where is that annoying slayer, its all her fault.' He found her but didn't really know what to say, so instead he just glared at her and eventually got caught up in another sword fight with her.

Everyone was gathered together for a game plan at about noon. It was decided that in three days they would go back to the feudal era and find the rest of the jewel shards.
This was quite an uncomfortable subject because no one really knew what was going to happen once they found the jewel shards. Would they split up and never see each other again or would they be forced to be a team till the day they died.

Half way through Yukina came in.

“Hi everyone…I just wanted all of you to know that I have finally found my long lost brother.”

Hiei was cursing every curse word he could imagine under his breath.

“That's great Yukina!!! Who is it, I can't wait to meet him.” Kuwabara said dumbly.

“You already know him. I would like you all to meet…my big brother Hiei!!!”

Kuwabara looked the most shocked of all. “Hiei is y-your brother???” Then Kuwabara fainted on the floor.

Hiei smiled a sinister smile, “Well, there's one good thing that happened out of this.”

Then Kurama started getting lots of death threats in his mind thanks to Hiei. `Then I will rip out your eyes and pull out your tongue and…'

“Kurama are you okay? You're looking a little green.” Kagome said.

“I'm fine, Hiei just has a very colorful imagination.” Kurama said looking even paler.
Kagome was very confused but decided not to ask.

Kikyo seemed to be out of all the conversations. She didn't really seem to have much of an opinion either way. As far as she was concerned she didn't have anything to do with it now that they had defeated Naraku.

Yusuke and Kuwabara were now completely healed so they took it upon themselves to make sure that Kohoku was tough.

“Come on, only one hundred and thirty three push ups to go Kohoku.” Yusuke said happily watching the poor little kid exercise.

“Yusuke, this isn't fair.” Kohoku said through gritted teeth.

“Fair? Fair? No one was fair to me when that old hag was training me.” Yusuke said sternly.

“Did someone call me?” Genkai said as she stepped on to the field.

Kuwabara gulped, “We were just trying to toughen up Kohoku here.”

“Well you are doing a horrible job. And Yusuke, you are getting out of shape, you and Kuwabara are both wimps. All three of you need to be trained again.”

There was a meow behind Genkai, Kirara had appeared too. “You too cat, you could use some toughening up.”

Then Genkai began to put them through everything Yusuke had gone through the first time, by the end of that lesson none of the boys (or Kirara) could even walk strait.

“You wimps, tomorrow you better show more guts then that or I'll double the lesson.” Genkai yelled at them as they groaned and fainted in their couches.

Kurama had been hanging out with Shippo for the last few hours. They had been playing lots of different games together.

Eventually the little fox tired himself out and fell asleep on the floor.

Kurama picked him up and began to take him to the bedrooms.

“You know he really likes you.” Kagome came from out of nowhere and looked at the two of them.

“He is a very sweet child.” Kurama said looking down at Shippo.

“I just worry about him.” Kagome said as she studied the little fox. “After all he's been through I wish that I could just make him have a normal family, with a mother and a father of his own kind. I wish he didn't have any troubles.”

Kurama watched her as she watched the fox. “He is very lucky to have such a caring mother. I don't think that he could have a better family, whether they were his own kind or not.”

He then looked down at the little fox. “Also, if he needs a father figure, I don't mind taking care of him. I could be his mentor.”

Kagome smiled “You are already filling that role, it really means a lot to him…and to me.”

Kagome avoided his eyes. She really was in love with him; she just couldn't bring herself to say it.

Kurama tucked in little Shippo then turned to Kagome. He went over to Kagome and hugged her. “Kagome?”

“Yes Kurama?”

He held her tight, “I love you.”

Kagome was shocked but thrilled, “I love you too Kurama.”

They both watched their little kit sleep until they both fell asleep on the couch together.

Kikyo was walking through the garden. She sat down on a bench and looked up at the stars.

She then noticed a very familiar presence near her. “Hello InuYasha.”

InuYasha came out of the shadows and looked at Kikyo.

Kikyo lost herself in his eyes, she seemed to drink in every little detail of his face, and it made him a little uncomfortable.

InuYasha decided to move closer to her. He sat on the bench next to her. “How are you feeling Kikyo?”

Kikyo smiled, “I'm feeling better then I have felt in the last fifty years.” InuYasha knew what she meant.

Then Kikyo said softly, “I'm sorry for everything I've done to hurt you InuYasha. If I could I would take it all back.”

“Would you take everything back?” InuYasha said sadly.

“I would only take back what I did to hurt you.” Kikyo couldn't look at InuYasha anymore, what good was having these emotions if all they did was hurt you.
InuYasha was now looking at her, “Kikyo…I…I.”

“You don't have to say it InuYasha, I think we both would have rather things turned out differently. I know if I could make everything go back to how things were before Naraku I would do it in a heart beat.”

“I would too.” InuYasha said, his eyes still settled on her.

“Kikyo, please forgive me.” InuYasha looked down.

“I do not believe that you need forgiveness for anything InuYasha. If you feel you need it then I forgive you for anything you have done…if you forgive me.”

InuYasha nodded his head. “I forgive you, Kikyo.”

Kikyo smiled at him, then she looked away and tears began to form in her eyes. After a minute she was steadily crying, she wished that things could go back to the day's when InuYasha loved her.

InuYasha watched her cry, and then he put his arms around her and pulled her close. “Please don't cry Kikyo, I cant stand it when you cry.”

Kikyo tried to stop, “I can't help it…I never stopped caring about you.”

InuYasha pulled her closer still, “I never stopped caring about you either Kikyo, and I never really stopped loving you.”

Kikyo responded by pulling him closer to her. “I never stopped loving you, InuYasha.”

The two sat there in each other's arms, for a very long time.

Eventually everyone came in and went to bed. Kurama and Kagome even woke up and went to their own beds. Tomorrow was going to be another wonderful day of relaxation…or so they thought.

***The Feudal Era***

It was dark, nothing seemed to be moving. Even the air seemed to have stilled.

“Naraku is dead.” A sigh emerged from the shadows.

“Yes, now what will happen? He wasn't supposed to die so soon.” Another voice seeped from the darkness.

“I believe that it is the beginning of the prophecy.” Another sighed.

“You and your prophecy's, I can't keep them strait.” The fourth one chuckled.

“My prophecy's are true, boy. And this is the most dangerous of them all.” The prophet said solemnly.

“He is right, the end is coming.” The first one said calmly.

“But not for a while, it says we have three full moons. But still, what are we going to do?” The questioning one asked again.

“We must have a gathering.” The other three looked at him in awe. “It has been hundreds years since our last gathering but it appears we have no choice.”

“Wait!!! That's a little overboard gramps.” The youngest said in a panic. “But they are so far apart, some are even threw the Well, we could never gather them.”

“We will wait for them to return, until then…Use the signal.”

The calmest one picked up what looked like a silver glowing rock, he touched it to his lips and an invisible and indescribable tune seeped out into the night.

***At Genkai's Shrine***

It was late; the sun was hours away from rising. Everyone lay in his or her separate cots not even stirring. Then slowly, one of the cots moved. The occupant of the cot began to make his way to the door, slowly but calmly. He moved as though he was still asleep, yet his eyes were open.

“InuYasha, what are you doing?” No answer. “Its late go back to bed.” Kagome's words went unnoticed.

“InuYasha?” She questioned. Still no reply.

“InuYasha what are you doing?” But the half demon just walked out of the door and started on the path out of the temple grounds.

“InuYasha come back.” Kagome knew that something was really wrong. InuYasha would never completely ignore her like that.

She then yelled “InuYasha!!!!! SIT!” The smash came from outside and InuYasha was face down in the dirt.

Kagome's yell woke everyone up.

“Kagome what is wrong?” Kurama said awake and alert.

“Its InuYasha. He isn't acting like himself.” Kagome went outside to see InuYasha.
Kurama, Sango, Yusuke, Miroku, Kuwabara, Kikyo, Hiei, and Kohoku all followed her out to see InuYasha.

Kagome watched as InuYasha got up from the ground without even so much as a curse, then he began to keep walking with an expressionless face.

“Somebody stop him!!!” Kagome said now completely terrified.

Yusuke took this challenge in a heartbeat. He blocked InuYasha's way; “If you don't turn around I'm going to have to beat you back to the temple.” Yusuke said with a grin.
InuYasha didn't seem to hear him and kept walking.

“I warned you.” Yusuke tackled InuYasha to the ground.

InuYasha then cut Yusuke on the stomach, not bothering to watch out for vital organs.
Quickly Hiei, Kurama, Miroku, Sango, and Kuwabara were all pulling InuYasha back. They pulled him into the temple and forced him into a room.

He kept on banging against the door but luckily the room and door were solid stone so he couldn't get out of it.

“What is wrong with him?” Kagome asked in a panicked voice.

“I don't give a sh*t what's wrong with him. I just want to teach him a lesson.” Yusuke said as he cracked his knuckles.

Kurama was deep in thought then he looked at Hiei, “Do you hear it?”
Hiei nodded a grave nod.

“Does he hear what?” Kagome didn't have a clue what was happening.

“The gathering tune.” Kurama replied. “It is played when a group of demons gather. The pulling is so strong a demon will stop at nothing to reach the gathering point.”

Kagome looked at them “Why aren't you tow pulled to it?” She asked Kurama and Hiei.

“Because we are not from the time period that its from, it is summoning its own demons from the feudal era, that's why InuYasha's pull is so strong.” Kurama explained.
“Wait.” Sango looked around terrified. “Where is Kirara?”

Kagome suddenly had a sinking feeling in her stomach. “Guy's…WHERE IS SHIPPO?????”

People began to scramble, no one knew where either of the small demons were, to make things worse InuYasha burst out of the room and began to run, they couldn't stop him.
“Kurama where is he going?” Kagome asked with tears in her eyes.

“He is going back home, going back to the feudal era. The same place where Shippo and Kirara went.”

“We have to go find them.” Kagome yelled.

“I'm not loosing Kirara!” Sango said with fire in her eyes.

“NO!!!” Kurama and Hiei said at the same time. “You don't know what happens at gatherings, humans are not safe. We will get them back.” Kurama said as he tried to calm down Kagome.

“NO. My kit is down there and I'm not letting you go alone.” Kagome said.
“Me either. I'm coming.” Sango said.

The other humans in the room nodded.

Kurama looked like he had no choice, “Fine, but this is really dangerous, you don't know what will happen. If they catch that you are human.” Kurama shuddered and Hiei looked away.

“Okay, we get it but were coming.” Yusuke said.

“Then gather your things. Yukina, Botan, Genkai, Your staying here, no objections.” Kurama said to them.

“No, I wont let my friends get hurt. Or my new big brother” Yukina said determined.
Hiei rolled his eyes.

“You can't stop us.” Botan said happily.

“You couldn't win the Dark Tournament without me and I'm not letting you get through this alone either.” Genkai said.

Kurama looked defeated. “Fine, but we must be quick, who knows what's going to happen.”

“Well so much for a nice vacation. It looks like the next adventure is just starting.” Yusuke said rolling his eyes.

The group began to gather their things and head toward the well, unsure of exactly what they would be facing next.
