Chapter 4. "Confusion and Misguidance..."
"Alley-oop!" Kagome sprung out of the well, dusting her clothes off, "(-.-' sigh)....guess this is it....time to confront..." she made a slight jump to adjust her large yellow backpack and walked off. While happily trotting away, Kagome suddenly stopped and heard a noise in the bushes, then that something whizzed past her giving Kagome a slight nudge on the shoulder, she looked down her arm and her sleeve was torn. Red lines started to appear on her skin and seep through the white fabric, "Oh...my...god...argh!!! no!!! I just washed it too!! TnT' now how am I gonna get this blood stain off?!" she complained. With a grunt, her backpack dropped and she tied up her hair, "Alright demon! come out and face the consequences for my torned blood-stained uniform that WAS perfectly washed and clean before I got here!!!"
There was nothing.
"Fine! have it your way!" Kagome closed her eyes for a brief moment, as waiting for something, a strange glow surrounded her body and she began to transform. the white stripes, blue eyes and ears, they were all there as the result. Then in an instant, she jumped up high into the air, "HAHA!!! missed me!!" she shouted down before landing on the ground with ease, the she snapped her fingers, "Oh darn! I forgot! I don't have any weapons!" she sweatdropped. after the last word, a demon replaced her spot in his attacking position but missed, Kagome manuvered to another spot again near a tree.
"Hey you!"
It turned around surprised to see Kagome.
"Haven't you learned anything from your mama!? It's not nice to attack people!"
"ARGH! give me the jewel you wench!" it shrieked.
"(gasp!)...NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE I WON'T!!" she crossed her arms and turned away from him, "I've been called that one too many times!"
"Give it to me...and I will lay pity on you."
"PSH!!....I don't need pity!" she scoffed.
"..Shi ne!"
"huh..?"Once she turned around, He was charging right for her, "No! wait I'm not ready!!"Kagome closed her eyes and cringed up like a little child, *just let your instincts take over! just like the last few lucky dodges!*"AAHHH!!!!"
She waited a second, then another few seconds, then she felt a thick hot fluid being thrown at her body, but nothing struck her, "...eh?.." Kagome opened one eye to peek. In front of her, was chunks of greens meat mixed in with red blood,"...m..m....." she whimpered, "...EWWWW.....EWW!!!!!! THAT IS THE NASTIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!" Kagome shouted while grabbing onto an arm, "I will not be eating for a week!! this is soooooooooooooooo disgusting!"
"...Well,.....I suppose..."
"What are you talking about??? this IS disgusting..I mean, look at..the....way.....it's....." Kagome slowly turned her head around along with how she slowly realized that she was grabbing someone's arm, "......S.....Sesshomaru.." she blushed deeply and let go of his arm.
"...Hm.." he replied as he withdrew his glowing green hand.
"...Sorry...I didn't mean..."
"...No, it is I that...should be."
"....I know...things have gotten a little......intense, even for you...these few days....and...I...I need to talk to you..."
"..I understand...and I need to speak with you as well, about the last encounter we had...."
"Yeah....well, I....I don't know if...I mean......I don't get what your trying to say...."
Sesshomaru sighed inwardly turning away from her eyes, "...It seems that my true intentions have been revealed...." he mumbled quietly, but Kagome could still hear, she was surprised, but then again she already had a clue to that, "I admit that I have some concern towards...."
"...go on...."
"..This is no place for an explanation, I would rather prefer somewhere away from the gore to discuss such matters..." He suggested, Kagome nodded in agreement, "I highly prepose a hot spring...you seem to have gotten some blood tarnished on you..."
"Are you sure it's just that reason only..?T.T' "
"Do you really think of me that way?"
"...Erm....nevermind then.."

Kagome sunk low into the hot waters while listening to the western demon do all the talking, he is turned away from her having no intrest to turn around and look. Thoughts roamed in and out of her head as he spoke giving her ideas.
"My acts are only what I think, I'm not a hypocrite."
"sure...." He then heard her get out of the water, the vision of her perfect naked demon body entered his mind, he shook it away *what am I thinking..?* and those thoughts
were shattered by her voice.
"Ok, you can look now." she signaled.
Sesshomaru turned around finding her in nothing but a piece of cloth wrapped around her upper body and barely covered her legs.
*Oh gods, she's wet...*
"Look, Sesshomaru...I know your confused, me too....but just to make this more clear....I need to tell you something important, I-...........hello?..o.o...........are you even
listening??"
"........ahm...yes, go on..." he hesitated to answer.
"You're acting strange..T.T'......who are you and what have you done with Sesshomaru..?"
Sesshomaru cocked an eyebrow.
"..(sigh)...I really need to get this over with....I." Kagome looked up, she was cut off by his eyes, he kept staring at her, he desired something, she wanted to tell him to
stop , but she actually liked the way he was looking at her. Sesshomaru slowly advanced to Kagome and cupped her chin, "....Sess...." she whispered. He leaned forward and gave her a light kiss, after seconds he pulled her closer ignoring the fact that his clothes were getting wet. The kiss deepened and their tongues embraced. Sesshomaru let go giving her enough time to adjust before he spoke again, "......Ka...gome.......you name is a delicate..." he hushed into her ear, "...I don't know how you did it....you have plague my mind ever since that day, I know you acknowledge the same affections.......I shall come for you when the sun sets...make your decision, come with me Kagome, you'll be forever blissful..." he gives her a kiss on the cheek, and disappeared.
".....Happiness....?....I can never find happiness....I haven't the heart to tell them now..." a tear fell out of her eye. *I can't do this anymore....I..I want to forget this ever
happened...* (A/N: You probably expect Kagome to run back home? but no...she's not)
Her mood as cheerless as ever, she walked back to Kaede's village, at reached her hut, there were voices, other people were inside too, it was Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Inu Yasha....but Inu Yasha sounded sick.
"So...I guess that you miss Kikyo huh....?"
"Nay, not now Inu Yasha, I missed her 50 years ago, this Kikyo was never the Kikyo I knew....and what about Inu Yasha?...does ye's heart still ache for my cadaverous
sister..?"
"Well, I can't say I never did....the truth is, I loved her....she was beautiful, kind and did things the right way..."
Kagome gave a tiny gasp, it hurt for him to talk about her like that...he still loves Kikyo?
"Nani??....You talk about Kikyo in this certain way.." Miroku said.
"It's strange, are you feeling okay Inu Yasha?" Sango asked.
"How could talk like that?!" Shippou yelled.
"Gr..." he growled.
"Hmm...I have never heard ye speak this way of Kikyo..."
"You didn't know a lot about me Kaede, and neither did Kagome....but Kikyo, she knew me...she understood how I felt..." Kagome bit her lip careful not to break, "She comforted me, I loved her for that...."
She backed away from the hut crying, *...h..how.....how could he do this to me...?.......after all that talk about caring for me the other day....he actually loves Kikyo..??....I
can't bear to hear anymore of this!*....Kagome turned around and ran back into the woods with her vision blurred by her tears. She ran and ran until she reached the well,
Kagome stopped and landed on her knees crying loudly, "Why Inu Yasha?! why?!.....You've broken my heart too many times....I thought you....you loved me...Kikyo's finally dead....he still talks about her, she still remains in his heart...." Kagome let herself fall to the ground and covered her face blocking the bright sun.
".....There, there, Kagome.....you don't have to get stuck with that Inu Yasha anymore....I can help..."
"..how!?" her voice came out soft like she couldn't scream anymore.
"..Just come with me...I'll make you feel all better now..." the fimilar voice picked the half consious Kagome. They both went off...

The skies turn red, the sun almost sets, Inu Yasha comes out of the hut stretching, "(sigh)....that was a nice nap..."
Kaede, Shippou, and Kirara walks up to Inu Yasha, Kaede left Inu Yasha in the hut trusting that he didn't do anything bad, "I'm glad ye thinks so.."
"Oh and thanks for the herbal medicine hag, those attacks did quite a few numbers on me....but damn it stinks like hell....."
"...T_T..."
"....Ah don't worry, I appreciate it..."
"You should, Lady Kaede has treated us very well these past days." Shippou told him.
"Feh"
"Hm." Kaede, Shippou, and Kirara all went inside.
After he made sure they went inside, he walked away talking to himself, none of the villagers were around at this time of day, Sango and Miroku went to help cook,
"...Where are you Kagome...I need to talk to you....I love you..." he narrowed his eyes. He was halfway to the well, until he finally realized the smell of her blood.
"Kagome!" He ran near the well, and saw little drops of blood there, only a few hours old. "How could I have missed the scent?!...Damn! I was drinking the medicine Kaede gave me! I forgot! she told me that my senses would be impared for a while! It's just starting to come back!...Shit! she's in trouble!" he ran off, and searched everywhere for a clue, "KAGOME!!..."
There was scent that caught his attention, it was, "His scent! damned bastard was here! who does he think he is! he can't just take her away like that!" Without delay, he ran off into the mountains, "I'm gonna kick your ass! watch out cub."
By the time Inu Yasha got there, the sun already set, it took all his effort to jump all the way up to the waterfalls. There.....he found Kagome...sleeping, laying on top of a pile of grass in a cavern.
"K-KAgome!"
"MHmm.." she groaned and opened her eyes slightly, "...I..Inu Yasha?.....go away." she fell back to sleep.
"No! Kagome! are you okay?!" Inu Yasha leaped for herbut something, more of a SOMEONE, jumped in his way.
"Back off mutt-face! she's mine..." The wolf demon declared.
"Argh! fuck off! why'd you kidnap her?!" Inu Yasha grabbed the fur on his shoulder.
"That's none of your business, besides, " he picked the claw off his shoulder, "you already know why..." he turned around heading towards Kagome.
"Come back her Kouga! I'm not done with you!" he grabbed his ponytail and yanked him downward causing the wolf to yelp in shock, "give her to me! give my Kagome back
to me!"
"Ohhh......you did not just pull my hair..." Kouga stayed calm.
"Yeah, so? what are you gonna do about it? cub." Inu Yasha taunted.
"Why you..." sparks flew between the eye contact, they were about to attack each other.
"Stop."
They both looked at Kagome, "Well, well. Glad to see your okay Kagome."
"Kagome! are you hurt?!are you alright?-"
"Drop it Inu Yasha. Leave me alone, go away."
"W-W-what?! butI- he- what?!"
"I don't want to see you right now, go home."
"Kouga was laughing hard inside, he tried his best to keep it in, "Pft...Later mutt-face....hahah!!! you heard her, she dopesn't need to see you right now!"
Inu Yasha ignored him, "W-what?! why? Kagome...what did I do..." he asked concerned.
"I don't want to see you, or hear you. You can't explain it anyways...I know how you really feel now..."
"No but Kagome I-"
"I'm not gonna say it again, I would be best if you just go."
"No I-"
"You heard the woman, bye!" Kouga pushed him down the cliff through the waterfall.
"WAAAAAHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh......"

*crash*
"Cocky Bastard!! I'm gonna kick his fu-....fu.....huh?" Inu Yasha looked up into the sky, "What the hell is that?" What Inu Yasha saw, was a large black cloud hovering over
the night sky covering the moon, it was ominous, very, "looks like trouble...shit, I have to get to Kagome! that bastard can't protect her alone." he started jumping from rock to rock trying desperatly to get to Kagome as quickly as possibly...
