Chapter 5. "Pressure"
"What the hell is that?" Kouga wondered.
The black clouds roamed into the cavern, Kouga jumped in front of Kagome protecting her. Kagome watched as the clouds disappeared, and Sesshomaru was there.
"So, It's you..." Kouga narrowed his eyes at him.
"Hm."
"Se...Sesshomaru..." Kagome whispered.
"Kagome!" Inu Yasha yelled running to her side, "Are you okay?!"
"...." she stared at Sesshomaru.
"Have you made your decision Kagome...?"
"What?..." Inu Yasha turned to her, "What's the meaning of this?...What's going on Kagome..?"
"...(sigh)...I..I tried to tell you...I tried to tell all of you. But you wouldn't let me talk."
"Go ahead then, talk." Kouga said.
"I can't decide, do you know how hard it is for me?..." she whimpered.
"..Kagome.."
"I can't Inu Yasha, I know you don't love me."
"NO! That's not true! I love you Kagome!"
"No, don't lie, I heard you.."
"What?!"
Kagome stood up and faced Sesshomaru, "You really care for me..?"
"Yes, I do."
"Er....how long has this been going on..?..TnT' " Kouga pouted.
"But Kagome, I truely love you! don't you believe me..?" Inu Yasha begged.
"I have heard enough from you little bother..." Sesshomaru said, " I suggest you go else where.."
"He's right, you should go." Kagome agreed.
"Kagome! I really do! Why did you think that way?! I love you! Why don't you love me back?!"
"Because.......K..Kikyo's still there..."
"What..? What are you talking about?!"
"In your heart..."
"No!...no she's not! I love YOU Kagme!"
"Give me a break Inu Yasha, I heard you say it yourself...You said you loved her, she was there for you..."
"W..What....?........I said that....you mean back at the hut?"
"Where else?....unless you've spoken about her several other times.."
"No! did you hear all of it?!"
"Should I?"
"You don't understand! I was talking about you!"
"I Don't want to understand, just leave me alone..."
"Let me fuck'n explain! Okay so yeah I WAS talking about Kikyo," Kagome rolled her eyes,"but did you hear the rest of it?!?!?"
She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow.
(flashback)
"Such a pity for such matters to occur...." Kaede sighed.
"So...I guess that you miss Kikyo huh....?"
"Nay, not now Inu Yasha, I missed her 50 years ago, this Kikyo was never the Kikyo I knew....and what about Inu Yasha?...does ye's heart still ache for my cadaverous sister..?"
"Well, I can't say I never did....the truth is, I loved her....she was beautiful, kind, and did things the right way..."
"Nani??....You talk about Kikyo in this certain way.." Miroku said.
"It's strange, are you feeling okay Inu Yasha?" Sango asked.
"How could talk like that?!" Shippou yelled.
"Gr..." he growled.
"Hmm...I have never heard ye speak this way of Kikyo..."
"You didn't know a lot about me Kaede, and neither did Kagome....but Kikyo, she knew me...she understood how I felt...she comforted me, I loved her for that...."
"Aye, she was kind hearted."
"Yeah, when she was alive. Now she's a dead bitch who wanted to take my life.....but now, someone else has taken over her place, she might be Kikyo's reincarnation, but she's really different from her. Kagome is a herself, I understand that now....she's the one I have to protect, not Kikyo."
"AWW...." All their eyes began to water up, "That's....so sweet Inu Yasha."
"ngh..." he sweatdropped with beaded eyes.
(end of flashback)
"I swear! I love you Kagome! I'd give my life for you!"
"....how can I be sure that your not lying....?"
"I'm not! how many goddamned times to I have to say I love you!? I LOVE YOU KAGOME!!!"
"Hm.." Sesshomaru mocked.
"Er...and I thought I was in love...." Kouga sweatdropped.
Kagome turned away from all of them, "I can't deal with this pressure.....just leave me alone, please...all of you..."
Sesshomaru nodded, "I will await for your final decision...I understand that you wish to be alone." with that, the western lord disappeared.
Inu Yasha was about to speak when Kouga put his hand on his shoulder, "You know better than that mutt-face..." Inu Yasha didn't even bother to retort, he just stared at Kagome's back. They both walked away and left her to think, once they were gone until she could not sense them anymore, Kagome got up, and left the mountains quickly back to the village.

"Hm, how strange...it seems to empty without Inu Yasha or Kagome-sama Miroku sighed. (A/N: Not that I remember, but when I watched Inu Yasha the first movie...didn't Miroku call Kagome sama? or Kagome called Miroku sama?)
"Where could they have gone to....?" Sango asked, knowing there would be no answer from Miroku, he shook his head.
"..(sniff)....I miss Kagome-chan...." Shippou cried as Kirara squeaked in agreement.
"Sango-chan..Miroku-sama...." Kagome weakly mumbled as she came out from the forest, they caught her voice and stod up quickly rushing to her side.
"Kagome-chan! are you alright? you look very tired..." Sango asked with concern.
"Kagome-chan! we were so worried!" Shippou exclaimed.
"What happened to your clothes? It's been ripped!.." Miroku examined her arm.
"I'm fine, really, "She managed to pull a smile, "Thanks guys...but....I need to go home..and think for a while.......if any of them come looking for me, tell them I'm fine and they should leave me alone....don't tell them that I went home okay?..."
Miroku nodded, "Okay Kagome-sama, we'll do that..."
Kagome nodded back and kneeled on the edge of the well.
"Wait! Kagome-chan! take me with you! I wanna be by your side.." Shippou whinned tugging on her uniform.
"Heh, "Kaogme picked him up, "Okay, you can come, but promise to behave yourself...there will be no demons around in my era.."
"Good riddens!" Kagome giggled at his response and jumped down. Sango, Miroku, and Kirara all looked down as the blue light appeared and watched as their friend disappeared.
".(sigh)....poor thing...she's under so much stress..." Sango commented.
"Hai...but Sango-chan....what did she mean by 'any of them'?..."
"Maybe she means everyone, especially some certain demons..." she added. Miroku chuckled.

Kagome climbed out of the well with the kitsune on her shoulder and dusted herself off, she seemed sad though, even when she smiled he could see through to her sadness. The red intense eyes continued stalking.
Kagome greeted her family and introduced Shippou to everyone, they weren't scared, infact they thought he was very kawaii.^^ (of course) Shippou got along very quickly, he felt like it was his home too. Kagome felt a brief moment of happiness, then she went upstairs with Shippou in her arms, "Hmm, Shippou..when was the last time you took a bath?.."
"Hmm...let's see.......yesterday I think."
"Well, why don't I help you take a bath again? it'll be fun, It's called a bubble bath."
"Yay!! I like bubbles!" They both giggled.
Kagome took out some of Souta's 'too small' clothing, and took it to the bathroom where Shippou was waiting, "I'm ready Kagome-chan!" Kagome smiled and prepared the water filling it with pink bubbles. Shippou could of have hours of fun in the tub but Kagome thought one was enough. After the bath Shippou was squeaky clean, "Yay! can I take a bubble bath again tomorrow?!"
"If your good!" Kagome teased.
"I will be!"
"Oh, Shippou-chan, if you don't mind...um, can you sleep in Souta's room for tonight?"
"But, why?"
"Well, I really need some time alone to think...please understand, you can sleep in my room tomorrow if you'd like."
"OKay, I understand Kagome-chan." he smiled gleefully at her. Kagome kissed him on the head and sent him off to bed with a pat on his butt.
After a while Kagome took a bath herself, she really needed one to relax. *Oh boy...what a day...I'm being chased by demons......Woe is me..* she got out and wrapped a towel around herself, looking into the mirror to see a beautiful demon in front of her, *Is this really me?....how can it be?....It was all because of that stupid potion, if it weren't for that, I would still be a human and none of this would have happened...* Kagome dressed herself in her frog pajamas(dont' ask why they're frogs, my uncle likes frogs^^')
Thinking once more about Inu Yasha, and Sesshomaru, she fell asleep uneasy. The red eyes appeared again from her open window and stared at her sleeping face as it did many times before when they journeyed together. He gave a sad sigh and disappeared in a black blur.
