The Taint of the Pure Blood Sanctuary….

 

A/N: sorry that I haven't updated in so long.. but my comp was messing up (aaahhhhhh!!!) and I really didn't have ne thing to write… O well.. now I do and that's all that counts…! ^^

Ch 8: The first meeting all over again…..

 

 

Kagome screamed as she sat up…… sweat covering her body… she stared at the man sitting next to her… the same one from her dream… she was now obviously wide awake…

 

 

“Hiei?” She breathed…

Yusuke walked through the great big doors that led into Koenma's office…

 

 

He stopped a few feet in front of the paper littered desk… “ you wanted me midget??” Yusuke smirked…

 

Koenma glared… swishing his pacifier around with his tongue.. “Yes… you never reported to me what you found… what did you find??” he stood up in his chair… leaning on his desk with both his hands…. “ hhhhmmm!!!??”

 

 

Yusuke scratched at his head… his face hard in thought…

 

“well….”

She shut her eyes as soon as his named slipped from her mouth….

 

no .. no.. this cant be true… I… it was all a dream… -

 

“Kagome??” a soft voice whispered….

 

Her eyes snapped open … her deep blue orbs flushed with tears..

 

“Its you...” the words just tumbled out…. She stared at him… like he wasn't real.. like if she blinked he would vanish…

 

And what scared her more then this crazy dream come to life… was that she didn't know if she really wanted him to vanish…

 

Kurama and Kuwabara stood up… “ um… Hey Fox… I have a cat I forgot to feed.. will you come help me” he looked anxiously over at Kurama as he started to head for the door…

 

“Ok.. sounds.. like a deal..” he walked out of the door after his friend…

 

-Hiei… we thought you should have some alone time….- Kurama closed off the link as they walked off…

 

 

Hiei just looked at her… he had waited to see her again for so long… he had planned everything he would tell her .. that he would say… but suddenly it all disappeared as he looked into her eyes… he had forgotten just how beautiful she really was…

 

“Kagome” he whispered again as he moved closer to her…

 

Kagome stared at him.. closing her eyes finally .. then opening them very slowly she scooted back a bit…

 

Wincing in pain when she did so.. “ my body… what happened??” she looked down at her body… she was wearing a short silk shirt … she could feel the bandages under the thin fabric…

 

And even worse she could feel her gashes under all of them…

 

“You were hurt… saving me..” he reached for her hand.. but stopped when she flinched…

 

“Are you scared of me Koi??” he asked in a mock laugh tone… even though the tone was exactly opposite of how he felt…

 

She nodded her head shortly… “ I'm sorry.. but I saw you.. in my dream… you treated me like a slave… until…” she blushed slightly at the memory…

 

Her hand running up to her neck… her eyes widened… “ what is this…”

 

Hiei scooted closer to her again this time actually taking her hand touching her neck into his… he bent down and softly kissed the small red mark on her neck… making her tingle all over… “ it is my mating mark to you…” he whispered into her ear…

“well…” Yusuke puzzled for a second..

 

He kicked his foot at an imaginary rock on the floor.. “ there was nothing to report… it was actually a really boring mission…”

 

Koenma stood there staring at him… “ what do you mean???.. there was nothing.. there had to be… I mean.. the reading…” he looked around confused…

 

Yusuke looked up at him.. “ yeah.. well there wasn't.. can I go home now??”

 

Koenma narrowed his eyes.. “ are you lying??”

 

Yusuke glared at him.. “ have I ever before??”

 

Koenma sighed… “ no… but I just have a bad feeling… you may leave…”

 

He watched as Yusuke walked out… “ I've only ever felt that much power once before…” he whispered to himself as he pushed a small button …

 

A tiny little table rose up out of his desk… a small pink Jewel rest softly on its lush blue pillow…

 

Suddenly a bright purple light shot up then vanished… as quickly as it had come…

 

“She's back… Midoriko's back…” he never took his gaze away from the gem…

 

Pressing another button on his desk… he spoke into the intercom as a soft buzzing sound started… “Saniko… I need a conference with my father…”

 

The female on the other line spoke softly.. “ what should I tell him as for the reason why???”

 

“Just tell him it has something to do with the Pure Blood Sanctuary..”

 

The line went dead as he sat back…

 

 

“So.. the sacred jewel has awoken..”

Kagome looked up at him… “ what?.. mate… you're my mate?” she asked stunned

 

Hiei nodded… “ but that's not all Koi…” he let his hand run down her side and rest on her stomach… “ have you figured it out yet?”

 

Kagome looked at him in horror.. his gesture dawning on her… “ I'm pregnant” she whispered.. tears stinging at her eyes…

 

Was she ready for this….

 

Hiei watched her face play emotions… his heart ached for her.. but there was nothing he could change now…

 

He looked down at her hand… but looked back up when her hand jerked in an odd fashion…

 

“Kagome.. what is it???” he asked suddenly

 

Kagome stared past him… blankly… “Shippo…”
