A/N: Hello ppls!!! Thx so much for the reviews… they are great!!! But one of my readers brought something to my attention.. that in chapter 4….i have a scene .. a short scene where Yusuke and Koenma are talking about the mission.. I am well aware of this… but… I also have Koenma talking to him for the first time in chapter 8… and I have a reason for this… first of all… the first time you read It in ch4… its what Yusuke sees it as… I went more into depth cause it was from Koenmas point of view in ch8.. and secondly there was a lot more to the meeting with Koenma then I let you guys see until now… so I had to re-tell it through different eyes!!! Make sense??? But to my special reviewer .. I thank you for brining it to my attention that I needed to share this info for it all to run smooth… you know who you are.. so do I get a nice pat on the head for my last chapter and confusing storyline??? Do i? * gives puppy dog eyes* thx again.. r&r ^-^

Ch9: Kieko's Story …Shippos peril…

 

Kurama walked along a path that had long sense been forgotten…

 

Kuwabara followed close behind… “ where are we meeting Urimeshi and Kieko???”

 

Kurama smiled to himself… being so far out in the wilderness made his senses feel free..

 

“Just around this turn up ahead….” He pointed at the very next turn in the hidden trail..

 

Kuwabara gave the fox a weird stare… “ yeah.. well I still don't know how you both know about this “HIDDEN SPOT”” as he said this he made quotation marks with his fingers when he said hidden spot…

 

Kurama just laughed…

 

Kuwabara just ranted on… “ yeah.. well.. I mean…. Have you two ever been back here alone???”

 

Kurama stopped walking and turned to look at him… “Yes… why?”

 

He just shrugged his shoulders… “ no reason.. no reason.. UNLESS YOUR GAY FOR URIMESHI!!!” he screamed pointing a finger at the now blushing fox..

 

“WHAT???? Me… I've told you a thousand times… I'm not GAY!!!” Kurama huffed…

 

Kuwabara slowly started walking again.. “ yep.. yeah.. sure that's what they all say” he walked past the fox and turned the corner…

 

Kurama just stared after the tall redhead …/ can I kill him now??? Not for what he said.. but just because I want to do it?/ Youko purred out…

 

Kurama sighed and continued to walk… / what he just said doesn't bother you at all…?/

 

Youko chuckled into their mind… / to be honest .. no it doesn't… I mean Yusukes good enough to look at.. and-/

 

Kurama cut him off before he could even get the rest of the words out / I cant believe you just said that… just shut up Youko.. just stop talking…/

 

Youko laughed wickedly / fine Red.. but when your ready to talk about your sexual insecurities… I'm here for you/

 

Kurama quickly cut Youko off as he turned the corner and Kieko and Yusuke came into sight…

 

“Hey Kurama… come over here..” Yusuke yelled waving him over..

 

Kurama blushed for a second then walked over.. “ Remind me to kill you later Kuwabara”

 

Kuwabara smiled.. “ what ever for?”

 

Yusuke just watched.. then said “ hey you two.. stop.. I need you guys to hear what Kieko told me.. about the girl”

 

Kieko stepped forward a bit.. tears shining in her chocolate eyes…

 

She told them everything… everything that she knew…

 

Kurama watched her finish her story… “ well she doesn't seem like she had poor health… I mean if she was as bad as you are saying.. she wouldn't have been able to survive her wounds”

 

Kiekos eyes widened… “ wounds??? Is she ok.. how bad is she?” as she asked.. tears finally spilt over her cheeks… leaving cold trails behind as they crashed down towards the earth..

 

“Kurama… is she scared.. let me see her.. she knows me…maybe I can help..”

 

Kurama smiled.. “ I really think she would like that.. she seemed more than a little lost…”

 

Yusuke smirked.. “ then lets go…”

 

Kuwabara stopped and thought for a second.. “ what about Hiei?? I mean wont he get all mad that we brought her by???”

 

Kieko glared at him.. “ he'll let me see her!”

Shippo looked up at the well….

 

He had come to the well everyday sense she had left… and it was now going on the sixth month..

 

“Okaa-san” Shippo whined… hot tears dripping down his face….

 

“Why did you leave…?”

 

“Because she didn't want you…” a deep voice whispered from behind the young kitsune…

 

 

The small fox turned around… only to see a huge being… “ who are you???”

 

“I'm Enma…” he smirked…

 

Shippo shivered… “Kirara!!!” his small voice squeaked..

“Shippo?”

 

Hiei turned around and stared out the balcony doors… his eyes opening slightly… “The kitsune child?”

 

He jumped up suddenly and in a flash slipped out of the balcony door…

A screaming Shippo and an unconscious fire neko fell towards the earth…

 

“Kirara wake up!!! Pleeeaase!!” Shippo cried… blood trickling from his lip…

 

Then next thing he knew… he was in a pair of strong arms.. holding both him and Kirara close…

 

“You smell like Kagome…” was all he could mumble as he slipped into the darkness… everything having happened way to fast for him..

Kagome got up and ran over to the balcony as fast as she could… wincing a bit in pain…

 

She grabbed at the railing for support.. “Shippo!!” she screamed… as she saw Hiei grab him and the fire neko out of the sky…

 

“Oh my gods… Shippo… your safe…” she cried as she fell to her knees…

 

Hiei jumped over and landed delicately on the ground next to her.. “ you shouldn't have moved.. your body wasn't ready…” he looked down at the crying woman… his eyes softening..

 

Kagome stared up at him…

 

-he saved Shippo.. and Kirara… maybe I should trust him-

 

Hiei walked inside and set the two sleeping creatures on the couch before walking back out to help Kagome..

 

He reached his arm out to her and gently picked her up into his arms… holding her to his chest…

 

Blood slowly mad its way down Kagomes leg… dripping from her now re-opened side wound..

 

Hiei placed her on the couch next to the Kitsune…

 

“Shippo…” she reached her hand out and gently touched his head…

 

She stopped suddenly and pulled her hand away… warm sticky blood covering her hand… “Shippo!” she screamed.
