Yusuke and the others sat patiently at the local airport, but they were beginning to grow restless. Yusuke entertained himself with an issue of an American magazine, given to him by Kurama who had supposedly visited before. "What kind of name for a magazine is 'Highlights' anyway?" Yusuke asked with a grunt.
"You're just angry because you can't find the honey jar," said Genkai, rolling her eyes.
"Well if you're so smart, you find it," Yusuke said angrily.
"It's behind the mailbox, you idiot," she said.
"Well how the heck was I supposed to know?" exlaimed Yusuke. "That's one big mailbox! You couldn't find a fire truck behind that thing!"
"You two are getting worked up again," said Kurama. "Yusuke, are you going to send in a picture of a bee to win a free ice cream? Because I was kind of hoping you'd let me use the enterance slip. My mother always said I was a fine artist."
"Hey guys, is that them?" asked Kuwabara, pointing to a group of three. "Koenma did say the guy who was coming with us was tiny, and his friends towered over him."
"That little guy? With the pointy hair? No way!" said Yusuke.
"What do you have against pointed hair?" asked Hiei.
"Hey guys! Good golly, I think I found 'em!" said the short kid with the pointy hair.
"Way to go, Yugi!" said the tall brunette girl next to him.
"Good golly..." Yusuke repeated with his eyebrows raised.
"Get up now and run for your lives. Maybe they're talking about someone else and they haven't seen us yet," said Kuwabara as he began to stand.
"Sit down!" Genkai hissed. "Maybe they're not what they seem." The short boy named Yugi ran over to them and stuck out his hand.
"Hi there, fellas. My name is Yugi Mouto," he said with a smile. "Are you the Spirit Detectives?" Yusuke glared at Genkai and shook his outstuck hand.
"Yeah, whatever," he said. "Let's catch that plane and get this over with."
"Oh, boy! I'm so excited, Yugi!" said the girl. "I've never been on a plane before!" Yugi gasped.
"Gosh, I almost forgot!" he exclaimed. "This is Tea, fellas!"
"Hi, everyone!" said Tea. She waved and giggled. Hiei raised his eyebrows. The other guy came over to meet them.
"And this is Joey," said Yugi, pointing to the blonde boy.
"Hey, guys," he said. "What's shakin'?"
"What's shakin'..." repeated Yusuke. Genkai elbowed him in the stomach.
"It's very nice to meet you three," she said.
"Nice, mice, ice, let's go," said Yusuke. On the way to the plane Yugi walked alongside Yusuke.
"Are you Yusuke Urameshi?" he asked.
"Yeah, what's it to yah?" he asked.
"Shut up, Yusuke," said Genkai.
"And you're Genkai, right?" asked Yugi.
"Yes, I am," she replied.
"You're a lot cuter than I expected you to be," said Yugi.
"Wha-what was that?" asked Genkai.
"Oh, nothing, nothing," said Yugi. He began to whistle and Genkai leaned in toward Yusuke and whispered,
"Yusuke, these guys are creeping me out. Let's go home."
"No, no, no," he said. "Maybe they're 'not what they seem.' You just have to get to know them. Right, Genkai?" They stopped walking and she stared at him for a minute. He grinned and she raised her eyebrows.
"I'm not making you that cake I promised when we get there," she said with a smirk.
"Oh, come on!" exclaimed Yusuke. She kept walking. "I'll rub your feet when we get to the hotel!"
"Don't you try to sweet talk me," she said, still smirking. "No cake for you." Yusuke groaned and looked at the floor, then caught up with the others.
"You're just angry because you can't find the honey jar," said Genkai, rolling her eyes.
