Hoshi: WHERE THE HECK IS THAT BAT?!

 

Mary-sue: You're looking for a bat? *smiles sweetly*

 

Hoshi: Yeah! He's taller than me, has back hair in a high ponytail to his shoulders, and likes alcohol... Have you seen him?

 

M-S: No, but I'll help you look! *smiling sweetly*

 

Hoshi: Thanks...

 

"GOD! I hate them all!" I slammed my book bag to the ground, not caring that my school books slid all over my bedroom floor. I tossed myself to my bed, sobbing into the starry pillows. I never noticed my pendant glow...

 

"Kiddo?" I heard my computer chair creak as it turned away from my computer to face my bed; I knew Kuronue was back out for his meal. "Listen, you're too passive at school. You let those morons shove you around."

 

I kept sobbing, pretending to not hear the bat's too-true words. "Just go away." I whined into the, now soaked, pillow.

 

"I will not go away. God child, do you even remember what day it is?" He was right too, every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I gave my blood to him... This was Tuesday.

 

"But, I- they..." I couldn't come up with a good way to get out of having my blood drained. I sighed as he walked to me and sat on my bed, knowing that he had one thought on his hunger ridden mind...

 

"If you'd like, I can make you forget." Then I looked at him, how could he make me forget what they've done to me? "How much school work do you have to do?"

 

"Only math, I can do that in first hour study hall..." I was now officially lost. He was telling me that he could help me forget the pain my peers had put me though, but one question was on my mind... How?

 

"Sit on my lap, facing me." I did as I was told; straddling him I just looked at his eyes. He looked back, and I must have seemed scared because he told me, "Don't worry, it'll be alright." he moved my head to the side, and then bit down on the normal spot. My flesh was torn there, from so many days of being bitten. From his pearly-white fangs sinking into my flesh, puncturing the vein only enough to allow a decent blood flow for him to lap up. This time he sucked on the wound, prompting the blood to come faster; it did.

 

I noticed soon that I couldn't keep my eyes open, the sucking was wearing me down. I remember falling asleep there in his arms, he whispered in my mind... "And now you'll forget the pain..."

 

I didn't remember a thing the next day.

I came home from school, knowing that today was a feeding day. But earlier in the morning I had forgotten that fact; it was cold out so I had put on a turtle-neck sweater. I sighed, knowing that it would have to come off; lucky me.

 

"I hate it when you wear those things." Kuronue materialized on my bed, waiting for me to sit next to him. "They cover up your slender neck." he pulled me to his lap, and then proceeded to remove my sweater; pausing when he saw how thin I had grown. "You're losing weight... How?" He and I both knew I never exercised, only my walk to and from school and the half-hour sessions of DDR would allow me to burn fat.

 

"I haven't been hungry lately. It's no big deal." I tried to lie, to hide the fact that I haven't been eating at all.

 

"How long have you not been hungry?" I looked away from him, "Answer me child."

 

"Three and a half weeks..." I flinched, he was flabbergasted.

 

"Three and a half weeks?! Haven't you eaten a thing for that long?" he looked at me again, eyes wandering down my, now thin, form.

 

"I've had water; that's about it." once again I looked into his eyes; they looked back at me with anger... Or was it disbelief?

 

"You're starving yourself..." He picked up my hand and dragged me to the kitchen, grabbing things out of the refrigerator just as he used to see me do. "Ham, cheese, mustard, chips, chip dip. That's the stuff you make after school, right?" with out my answer he made a sandwich for me, "Eat it or I'll force feed it to you." When I shook my head stubbornly he took a bite, chewed it, and then kissed me. Forcing me to swallow the pre-chewed food. "Now eat or I'll do that again."

 

I took the sandwich.

Kuro: thanks for the fun times ladies, but I have to get back to my friend... You know, the blue haired girl with the short temper.

 

Fangirl1: No! Kuro-kun, stay... We all love you here and we want to protect you from that girl, she doesn't know how great you are!

 

Kuro: Nah, I gotta go... She has my ha-... *looks at fangirl3* How'd you get my hat?

 

Fangirl2: We have everything you'd like, just stay... Please?

 

Kuro: ...I'll think it over...
