That night he was sleeping in his bed dreaming about his hopefully future wife Yukina. A loud scary sound scared him causing him to jump up and hit his head on the ceiling and nearly wet his pants!! "What was that?!" said Kazuma. The sound started low and rose higher and higher. It sounded like a siren, no howling!! Kazuma shivered in fear. His kitten ran into his room jumping on his lap which scared the l iving day lights out of him!
"Aaaahh! Dont kill me!!" screamed Kazuma. The kitten meowed. It was too dark to see but that friendly meow let Kazuma know that it was just his precious kitten."Oh, its just you. Did that sound scare you too?" The howling sound continued and was even louder. "I gotta find out what that sound is." said Kazuma. He looked out the window and saw a dark figure. The eyes of the figure glowed red. He screamed and ran into Shizuru's room.
"Shizuru! Shizuru! Theres something outside!" screamed Kazuma. She looked at him.
"This better not be one of your little tricks."said Shizuru.
"No, Sis im telling the truth! There was howling and I saw a dark figure with glowing red eyes outside!" screamed Kazuma. They both ran to his room and looked out the window. An owl was heard hooting in the distance but there was no dark figure. Shizuru's face turned red with anger.
"You got me out of bed for this?!" screamed Shizuru. Kazuma took a few steps back.
"But there was a dark figure out there. Honest."said Kazuma. Shizuru hit him on the head with a baseball bat knocking him out and left the room to go back to hers.
"Sweet dreams, little brother." The next morning Zinnia woke up and yawned.
"Yoko?" she said looking at her side for her friendly companion. The hamster wasnt next to her on the bed like last night. She looked around. "Yoko, where are you?" She heard a loud squeak coming from inside the kitchen. She got dressed then made her way there.
Yoko was sitting on the table eating a slice of bread with peanut butter on it. Shizuru put a plate with a stack of pancakes on it on the table.
"Heres your breakfast."said Shizuru smiling.
Zinnia smiled. "Thank you." She ate slowly since she was still a little tired. Yoko finished his slice of bread with peanut butter on it and drank a saucer of milk. "Thank you for feeding my hamster." said Zinnia.
Shizuru smiled. "Your welcome. Your hamster is very cute by the way." She smiled back and continued eating. Kazuma came in with a big red bump on his head. Zinnia looked at him.
"What happened to you?" she asked.
"Shizuru hit me with a bat last night. I told her that I saw a dark figure last night and when we looked out the window it was gone and she got mad and hit me." explained Kazuma.
"You saw a dark figure last night?" asked Zinnia nervously.
"Yes and it was howling. It was kind of scary." he said rubbing the bump on his head.
"Stop lying Kazuma and eat your breakfast." said Shizuru. He sat at the table and ate his pancakes and drank a glass of milk. He got up and headed to the door.
"Where are you going?" asked Zinnia.
"To school."answered Kazuma.
"Oh...." replied Zinnia. With that he left. Zinnia just sat there at the table wondering what to do.
"Why dont you go outside? It's a nice day. Just dont get lost." said Shizuru. She got up and yawned.
"Ok. Come on Yoko! We're going outside." said Zinnia. Yoko who was nibbling on piece of cheese jumped into her pocket and made himself cozy. She left the house and started to explore her new surroundings.
