Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Black Sunrise ❯ Memory ( Chapter 1 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

This is a change of pace for me really. As usual I'm not sure where this fic is going, I just had the idea for it. It's alternate universe, very much alternate universe actually. I haven't decided on a lot of things but I intend to work them out as I go. So bear with me.

Disclaimer- As much as I'd like to, I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho. If I did I would possibly be the happiest person in the world.

“Come on Hiei!” the little boy called out, his small hand out stretched to Hiei. Hiei, who was fully grown, looked down at the little boy's hand and blinked large crimson eyes. He almost reached out his hand to touch the small boys when a different hand beat him too it. It was another small hand, much like the little black haired boys, except this hand was different. As the small black hair boy tugged on the other child's hand the child started coming through Hiei, walking forward.

“Let me go!” a voice demanded. But the black hair boy kept tugging, “Stop it Yusuke!”

Hiei's eyes remained an unemotional calm as he watched the scene play in front of his eyes. Yusuke stopped pulling so suddenly that Hiei, who really was only about four or five, tumbled backwards with a groan. Yusuke ran up to his friend and just stared at Hiei's arm. The over-sized black sweat shirt and slid up Hiei's arm when he fell. The exposed skin of his arm was covered with horrible gashes and bruises. The little Hiei scrambled to cover his arm from Yusuke, then started getting up to run. Yusuke grabbed him and both boys fell back to the ground.

“Hiei what's with your arm?” Yusuke asked. Hiei struggled.

“Let me go!” he shouted. The older Hiei, the one watching, had become unnerved as a towering figure appeared beside the wrestling boys. They stopped suddenly and looked up. It was just a shadow to them, nothing more nothing less, but it was real to the two little boys. They both scrambled to their feet and stood side by side. A large black hand reached out for the small Hiei, who stood just terrified by fear. Yusuke moved in front of his friend.

“Don't touch him! He's hurt!” Yusuke yelled at the shadow. Soon the boy was knocked away, a little too hard for someone of five but then again, Yusuke was always tough no matter the age. The hand reached back out, grabbing the smaller Hiei around the throat, he struggled and whined, his hand tore at the shadows arm with no prevail.

“No! No! No!” he screamed as the shadow started strangling him.

The larger Hiei, who watched the scene from a distance, no longer stood calmly and unnerved wasn't it either. His eyes were wide with horror and shock, he felt two hands slip around his throat and start strangling him. Not the child him, but the real him, and the scene went black. The two hands tried to strangle the life from him while, some how, he felt another hand move down his back. It slid over the cloth covering his shoulders, mid back, all the way down to his lower back.

He felt the hand slide around his waist so it moved around the front of him, it squeezed his thigh and pulled him back against something hard and cold. His head hit with that hollow sound that makes you cringe and all the hands seemed to slip away. He groaned and tried to roll onto his side but two hands pressed to his chest, holding him against the wall firmly. Then one hand slid down his chest slowly, down to his stomach then back up the front of his shirt. The warm touch gliding over the soft flesh of his stomach and chest in a reverse motion. Hiei cringed.

“Don't touch me!” he yelled, his eyes shut tight, not wanting to see who was doing this, yet already knowing. The hand slipped back down his stomach only to move back up, he could feel warm breath on his cheek and turned his head away sharply. The breathing moved down to his neck, “Don't touch me!”

Hiei sat bolt up right in the futon, his eyes too wide with the pupils too small. His hands clenched at the blankets as cool sweat tickled down his temple, “Don't touch me!” he yelled into the darkness.

Something next to him moved, he turned his horrified eyes over to the bed against the wall. A dark figure was sitting up in it's bed, scratching it's head as it looked over to Hiei.

“Hiei?” came the slightly groaned reply of a teenager. Hiei's heart thudded in his chest, he knew that voice. The bed creaked as Yusuke got up and walked over to his friend, “Hiei, you alright?”

Hiei turned away from the human, trying to get his breathing back to normal, his chest was heaving too much for his liking. He reached up to wipe away the sweat of his forehead then wiped it on the blanket.

“Hn.” he replied. Yusuke fell back onto his butt on the floor, looking up at his friend.

“Another nightmare?” he questioned. Hiei nodded only once before turning his head to look out the window. A street light was sending a soft glow into the room from outside and it comforted Hiei. Without a word he stood up on the bed and cracked open the window taking in soft breaths of air and looking out at the street below the window.

Behind him Yusuke padded back over to his bed and sat down with a soft creek. He yawned a bit too loudly and stretched his arms above his head, he looked at his clock and grumbled.
“It's only 3:25 in the morning,” Yusuke said. Hiei resisted the urge to make a comment about being unable to control his awful nightmares. Just a glance over his shoulder at the black haired human made Yusuke regret saying anything. Hiei looked back out the window and took the breaths of cool air, it was just becoming the end of winter now so the weather was getting comfortably warm.

Hiei left the window open and sat back down on the guest futon. Yusuke got up and treaded to the bathroom. The shorter teenager hugged his legs to his chest and leaned back against the wall, his eyes staying out the window. That had to be one of the worst nightmares of my life. But it wasn't just a nightmare. It was a memory too.

He sighed to himself and didn't look over as Yusuke walked back in. The teen climbed back into his bed, “I'm going to go back to sleep. You know were everything is, if you need something, get it.”

Hiei however, didn't need anything except to move up and lean out the window again. He folded his arms on the sill and closed his eyes, drifting back to a slightly calmer sleep.

Yeah, see I have no idea where I'm going with this. The reason Hiei's sleeping in Yusuke's room will all make sense in the next chapter or so. As I said this is AU so don't flame me for stupid things.
