See! I told you, this one is right following the last one. I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating this story. I promised myself I'd finish this one and I plan to do it, despite how far away the end seems to be at this point. Oh well, I'm not sure how much of Hiei you'll see in this one but here's the next chapter!

The room was completely dark except for the bit of light leaking through closed curtains. A small blade of it stretched across a dark wood table but left both sides completely in darkness. Two chairs were pulled out away from the table, one farthest from the door and one closest to it. Occupying these two chairs were two people, the only part of them even remotely visible were their eyes. Both sets caught the light from the window and reflected it, however the other aspects of their faces remained hidden, even from each other.

“So everything's been set in motion,” said one voice, echoing from the person that possessed eyes as red as Hell's fire. His voice was liquid and seemed like it should be gathering thickly on the table top, though it remained completely dry.

“Perfectly, as you requested,” replied the second voice, belonging only to a set of glittering amber eyes. They seemed to sparkle like warm gold from the evening's light on the table. His voice was also like liquid but it seemed sweet and light, unlike the other which was deep. His voice actually was deep but it seemed to carry lightly in its sound waves.

“Glad to hear it. I was pleased to find I could win you over,” the red eyed voice replied, they never left the other set that seemed to hover across from him. Those beautiful golden hues seemed to flash lightly as though a blade of light had shone across them and a gentle laugh vibrated from its throat.

“Everyone has their price,” he said, then those eyes seemed to get sinfully more serious, “Everyone.”

This time another light laugh that seemed more like a chuckle came from the other, “I was impressed at yours, not much at all. Gold and jewels, how…cunning.”

“Cunning?” the second voice questioned, those eyes tilted lightly to the side as a blade of light shone across the surface gleaming off a slightly curious look without seeming unknowing, “I prefer the riches to the cash, it seems so…pointless…to buy fake when you can simply request the real thing.”

“Excellent point,” the other replied before those gleaming eyes rose up and the sound of a chair being scraped back across the floor was heard. It only took seconds for the other to react, standing as well, easily meeting the height those other orbs stood at. Both were about at equal height with each other. Making eye contact easier to keep, and some mental deal more solid.

A shadow hovered around the person with red eyes, large and powerful though not bulky or too muscular. He had a strong look about him, one of those that seemed like he could lift a truck though never would because it would be without a point. Gold eyes swept over the form almost able to see it with the secrets his eyes held. They always dealt in dark, it made things more certain. When you can't see each others faces when you're caught there's nothing to lie about. Of course…neither of them would ever get caught.

As the shadow turned to head back to the door the sound of nails gently tracing along the wood was heard. It made the powerful figure stop, one hand in his pocket and the other partially reaching for the door, “Tell me…why are you so eager to have him back? Not only have him but…break him first?” the voice floated from those golden eyes, which watched his pale hand trace over the table, barely within the lights reach.

A gentle sound like a short laugh came from the other as he turned partially, because the light was so off even his eyes were hidden amongst the blackness of the room, “He's of value to me. Everything about him is something I wish to own. As for the breaking him…” he seemed to trail off for a moment.

Before much could be said or the golden eyed other even realized it his hand had been gently picked up off the table. It was being cradled lightly buy a hand stretched with warm flesh in the shadows across the table. The light rested on his arm as the soft cool feel of lips brushed over his fingertips, which seemed to reach out for the feel of it, careful not to scratch with his claws.

“I don't like to break my toys but I fear he's lost his place, I simply need to remind him that the only place he will ever be…” the sensual voice said as he lightly ran his lips up the middle finger to gently place a kiss on the back of the frail hand. His red eyes raising up to meet gold in a gleamed battle of eyes with darkened hidden meanings. The kind of meanings you never want to be associated with, the sort of look you never want to see. Golden eyes widened slightly but only with curiosity and a hint of ache to them, as though he wanted to know what such horrible things were that were promised behind those dark eyes. His hand tensed only slightly in the other's caressing hold as he stared into those hues, pupils widening as though taking in some kind of force. The next words were breathed hotly against his skin, a whisper without being strained or hard to hear.

“…is below me.”
