BFK: Whee! Glad people like my little story. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside...
Kuronue: Lovely, lovely. Now COULD YOU GET THIS PSYCHO OFFA ME!
May: -still clinging to Kuronue-
BFK: May. Off.
May: NOOO! My Kuronue!
BFK: In the story, yes. In Real Life...no. -grabs May's hair and pulls-
May: OW! -lets go of Kuronue-
BFK: Good girl. Now BEHAVE!
May: Alright, alright...
For once, I decided to update something people CARE about! Yay for me! By the way, the Eternal Rose Saga is officially discontinued, unless you all give me a reason to bring it back. NOBODY CARES! WAAAH! -sobs- And could all my loyal reviewers please look at Roses of Winter, my new story? And maybe leave a review? Arigatou!
By the way, I do have a sequel or two planned for this. :) The first is called Life and Love, and I'm still toying with the second-called The Day After Tommorow, and based off of the movie... What are the opinions of my reviewers on this?
Pairings: YoukoOC, KuronueOC (You have three guesses as to who is paired with who. And did I mention that the first two don't count?)
Disclaimer: I own nothing.

When Terra woke up the next morning, she blinked several times, trying to re-orient herself. I'm not at home... Oh yeah, that's because I got sent back in time to save Kuronue's life. She stretched, stepping out and flicking her tail and ears. Haha, this is sooo cool! She thought, spotting a deep black kimono on the bureau. She found an adjoining door that led into a bathroom, where she took a quick shower and dressed in the kimono. The obi, she was surprised to find, was red-and the kimono was patterned with roses. She brushed her newly-turned-purple hair back and braided it, letting the bangs hang down over her third eye. To her surprise, encompassed within the outfit was a red bandanna-which she quickly tied on over the eye. She then stepped out, smiling slightly at this turn of events. She opened the door to her room, to find a random youkai-she assumed one of the thieves, a wolf, incidentally, and a girl- waiting.
“Yes?” She asked patiently.
“Youko-sama and Kuronue-sama requested that you and your companion join them for breakfast.” The ookami replied.
“I'd better go wake up the demon lump, then. Honestly, that girl sleeps like a rock or something...” Terra muttered.
“You were saying?” A slightly cocky voice asked.
“Oh, May, whoa. You're awake. That's odd. I thought you hated mornings.” Terra smiled at her friend, nonetheless.
“I'm awake. I'm NOT civil.”
“Youko-sama and Kuronue-sama wanted to meet you two for breakfast.” The ookami reiterated, now that May, AKA the Demon Lump, had awakened from her slumber of a hundred-oh, sorry, wrong story. Ehe. That's Princess Sonora and the Long Sleep, by Gail Carson Levine. Which I do not own. Anyway, back to the story.
“Alright.” May nodded. She was dressed in an ice-blue kimono, and her hair of the same shade hung free. Around her ice-blue eyes was some sky-blue eyeshadow. Terra quirked up an eyebrow, and May shrugged. “It was there.”
“Ah.”
“Would you two ladies please follow me?” The ookami asked.
“Oh, yes. Let's go.” Terra agreed. “By the way, what is your name?” She asked, smiling. The ookami was surprised that she asked.
“I-it's Lyra.” The wolf-girl, Lyra, stuttered slightly.
“Well, Miss Lyra, thank you for coming to get us.” Terra smiled at the girl, who shakily returned it.
“Doshimoshimashu.” Lyra bowed. During this entire exchange, the three had been walking. “Here it is.” She had stopped in front of a door, and gestured at it with her clawed hand. Terra bowed respectfully.
“Domo arigatou gosimazu, Lyra-san.” She said. Lyra bowed in return shakily.
“D-doshimoshimashu, Terra-san.” Clearly, the ookami wasn't used to respect from those considered important enough to dine with the two leaders of the band of thieves. Or maybe she was shy. Either way, Terra opened the door, with one last quick smile at Lyra, and stepped in.
Inside the room was a very nice table-but not one of those gargantuan things that always seem to be in fancy dining rooms. No, this one was much smaller. It was clearly used for private meals-and was set for four. Already seated at the table were Youko and Kuronue, facing each other. Terra took the seat next to Youko, and May the one next to Kuronue. Both boys had perked up slightly when the girls had entered the room. May, being the dolt she is, didn't notice, but Terra did. She decided not to comment, finding her plate loaded with bacon, sausage, and hash browns. Oh yeah, and waffles. Yay waffles. Terra ate hers politely, somehow figuring out how to eat bacon, sausage, and waffles with chopsticks, as did Youko. Kuronue and May, however, took the “vacuum” approach, inhaling their food. The other two shared disgusted looks.
“Does he/she normally eat like that?” Both asked the other at the same time.
“Yes.” Once again, in unison.
“You get used to it eventually.” Youko said. “Yeah, I guess, but it's still disgusting.” Terra replied. “True, true.” Youko agreed. By this point, the two demon vacuums had finished their meal-to sighs of relief from the other two at the table.
“Can I make the assumption that you didn't just ask us here to share breakfast?” Terra asked.
“No, actually, we didn't. We were wondering if you wished to accompany us on a heist.” Youko said. Terra perked up.
“We'd love to!” She said. May nodded.
“Excellent. I'd assume it's hard to run in skirts, and we'll be doing a lot of that (“It's hard to do a lot of things in skirts,” Terra muttered, 1), so there are some more appropriate outfits in the dressers.” Youko said.
“Thanks. Now, where is this heist supposed to be?” The violet-haired kitsune asked.
“The Palace of Makai.”
BFK: I know, I know, another short, slow one-but it'll pick up next chapter! PROMISE! Okay, review response.
seiya121: Glad you like it. And Kuronue is awesome-he had such potential as a character, and he got what? A really short appearance in one movie? not a single mention on the show? And so we fanfiction authors use him a LOT. ^.^ If you'd like to read a really funny story with Kuronue in it, go to http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1997258/1/ . It's called Inside My Mind, written by AnimeDarkside. It's one of my favorite stories. ^.^
Footnotes!
Domo arigatou gosaimazu: Thank you very much, highly formal.
Doshimoshimashu: You're welcome.
