Chapter 2: More Suprises
An hour later we were standing outside the Yeoman's house. Kurama had me tied up in vines, and was afraid to let me go. I don't blame him. I'm about to rip his throat out.
"Now, let me tell you what you're going to do," Kurama began, "you are baby-sitting a 7-year-old girl, Kumaru, for a week. Her parents have left credit cards and the pho-
" A WHOLE WEEK?????? KURAMA, ARE YOU CRAZY??????"
"Easy, Hiei, easy! I'm baby-sitting a little girl named Emri just down the street this week, too. If you need any help, just call."
"Me, need your help? She's just a 7-year-old half-ningen, how much trouble could she be?" Kurama, seeing his opening, used this phrase to its full extent.
"That's the spirit! Well, now that I've told you everything, and you don't need my help, I think I'll go see Emri and Mrs. Shade. Good bye Hiei!" Kurama walked off, and when he was at Emri's house (which was about 5 houses down) he let me out of the vines. Cursing his name, I went up the steps to the house and looked for a way to open it. Kurama had told me that you push a button on the door to call the owners, but there wasn't one.
"Oh well, guess we'll do it my way." I said under my breath. I took a few steps back, then ran forward and kicked the door open, if you count being broken into pieces opened.
"Hello?" I called. Since no one seemed to be there, I decided to look around. I would, after all, be spending my next week here. Kurama better not sleep tonight.

Hiei's POV
As I was walking down the hall, a closet flew open and this thing jumped out at me. It took me a minute to realize it was the little girl. She had a bow and was aiming it at my hair.
"Woah, WAIT A SECOND!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as she realeased the arrow. I started to dart to the side but it was too late. She got my hair.
"Wow! COOL!!!" the little girl screeched when she saw where the arrow was. "Can you do that to my hair? Please?PLEASE???"
"My pleasure!" I said, pulling out my katana. I was about to give the half-ningen a permantent haircut when the window behind me shattered. From the remains of the window, in stepped Kurama with a steel cage with a blanket over it and 7 different kinds of padlocks.
Forgetting my present matter I turned to Kurama. "What's in the cage, Kurama?"
"Oh nothing, Hiei," Kurama said matter-of-factly," I'm here to pick up Emri. She's here."
"WHAT????" I cried, and realized that the crazy half-ningen child was on top of me, trying to pull the arrow out of my hair.
"Give it BACK Give it BACK Give it BACK!!!!!!" She was screaming, getting louder the whole time. I tried to pull her off, and she punched me in the face. Hard. Harder than hard. I started to fall down, but caught myself in time.
"KURAMA! I thought you said she was just HALF demon!" There is no way that little brat can be just a half-demon and hit that hard!
" She is only half demon, Hiei, she inherited all of her mothers strength and speed. OOH, I suppose you should get her off now, Hiei, that looks like it hurts." The little half-ningen had started chewing on my head, and she was about to clamp her savage little teeth down on my third eye.
"Hey! Whatch it!" I yelled as her teeth sank into the bandage on my forehead. I tried just prying her loose, but it didn't work. Finally I just picked up my katana and knocked her out with the butt of it.
"Charming little thing, isn't she?" Kurama asked as I pulled the arrow out of my hair. I snorted and turned to look at the unconscious half-demon. She had long, blonde hair with an underlying of purple, and a purple smudge-like mark on her upper left cheek. She was dressed in jeans and a now-ripped short sleeved shirt. There was a bandage on her left arm from the elbow to the wrist. On her right hand was a bow glove. No shoes.
"Vile half-ningen heathen." I spat. This was going to be a long week. I need some sweet snow.
"Well, hiei, are you just gonna stay here looking at her or are you gonna help me find Emri?"
"I guess I'll help." I sighed. We went through every room in the house, and couldn't find the 7-year-old. The other 7-year-old.
"Where could she be?" Kurama asked me after an hour of searching. "The only trace of her has been the Cool-Whip everywhere." As if that was her cue, a little red-headed girl jumped down from a shelf and on to Kurama's back.
"Tag! You're it!" She cried as Kurama tried to get her off. It didn't work.
"Not so funny now, is it Kurama?"
"Shut up Hiei, and help get her off!" Oh yeah, I forgot, don't make Kurama angry when he's about to turn into the Youko. "Don't just stand there, get her OFF!" I was leaning towards just watching the girl almost choke Kurama to death, but I realized that if I didn't help, when Kurama turned into the Youko, it would be me that better not sleep tonight.
Going to help Kurama was the worst thing I could have done. As soon as the brat spotted me, she leapt off Kurama and on to my arm.
" Uncle Youko, who's this?" Emri asked.
"This is your Uncle Hiei, Emri." He replied.
"WHAT?!?!" I screamed. This day just can't get any worst.
" That's right, Hiei, you're her new uncle. And since she's so, um, attached to you, she can spend the night here. Have fun!" As I stood there with mouth agape, the kid still attached to my arm, Kurama ran from the house as quick as he could, leaving me in hell. I screamed.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
