Chapter Seventeen: The Battle Begins.

 

Luna sighed as she walked out of Koharu and Crystal's room; it had been a month since they went to Ukina's house to keep them safe from harm. She walked down stair and heard Keyla saying, “You need to get Kit out of here, he won't be any good in a fight.” “That's not true Keyla Kit is getting better everyday,” said Darren. Luna walked into the room just as Kurama said, “That might be true but he is still useless in a fight and he will just be a distraction for you and especially Luna.” “Excuse me but Kit is not a distraction and he is not useless!” snapped Luna, “So he is staying and that is final!”

Kurama and Keyla looked at Luna surprised while Darren smiled at her. Keyla then said, “He will easily get hurt then what?” “Mother shut the fuck up!” yelled Luna, “Kit is more reliable then you yourself are.” Keyla looked at Luna with a blank face while Kurama growled alittle. He took Keyla's hand and walked out saying, “You can fight this battle yourself, and I hope you win without some cost, likely Kit dieing.” They left the house and got into their car driving away from the house. Kit came out of his hiding place saying, “Why did they say that mom, dad?” Luna picked Kit up saying, “It's only because of your age that's all.” “That's right Kit your stronger then they are giving your credit for,” said Darren. Kit smiled feeling alittle better since his parents didn't find him useless.

They all went to be and early the next morning an explosion went off in the front yard which caused Luna and Darren to bolt out of their room and down stairs. They ran outside and saw Karasu there with a smile on his face. “Well well I knew that could get you two out here,” said Karasu. Luna and Darren growled at him and Karasu continued saying, “Now ready to fight for your lives.” Luna flexed her claws and Karasu ran at the two, taking a sword out. Luna jumped to the side avoiding the attack but Darren was cut on the face a crossed his nose. Darren growled as the cut healed and he lashed out at Karasu, clawing him a crossed the left eye. Karasu stumbled backwards as blood poured out of the wound and he held his eyes. He then smirked saying, “I hope that wasn't your best because if it was this will be over soon.”

Kit ran outside when he head the explosion and saw Karasu attack Darren. Kit was frozen in fright, to scared he would get in the way of his parents. Suddenly he saw Karasu charge at Luna with his sword and Kit ran out. He ran in front of him and the next thing Kit knew his right shoulder felt like it was on fire and he passed out the pain.

Karasu raised his swords to take Luna's head off when he saw Kit jump in front of him. He let his sword fall anyway and it landed on the boy's right shoulder. Karasu's sword cut right threw Kit's shoulder taking it clean off and saw the boy pass out. Karasu started laughed when he heard Luna growling but stopped laughing when he saw Luna take Kit into her arms and bandage his shoulder the best she could. After bandaging his wound Luna moved Kit away from the battle field and then growled at Karasu low and dark, the need for blood shining in her eyes which were slowly turning bright red.

Darren watched as Luna's eyes turned bright red and her body start to change. He face started to lengthen to that of a dogs and her legs and arms started turning into that of a dogs as well. Her body started lengthening and when is was all done she was a giant silvery black dog with its ears and tail tipped silver. Also its front right paw was silver and her eyes were now bright red. She growled low at Karasu sending a chill down Darren's spine. All Karasu did was smirk and run at Luna, his sword straight out in front of him.

Luna growled and swiped her paw out hitting the hand Karasu was holding the sword in with her claws. The swipe took Karasu's hand clean off and blood started pouring out of the wound like a river. Luna kept growling and went to jump on Karasu when he touched her left foreleg sending shooting pain threw it. Luna whined in pain and fell backwards on her right side. He leg was singed turning the fur pure black with a small amount of blood covering it. Luna turned back to normal and her left arm was black and bleeding some. Seeing what happen to Luna caused something in Darren to snap and he growled very low at Karasu.

Darren's eyes started glowing red and he ran at Karasu. Karasu backed up becoming scared but he didn't back away fast enough and Darren's claws went threw his stomach. Darren's hand stopped halfway threw and he moved his hand up alittle causing Karasu to scream out in pain. Darren then wrenched his claws out and grabbed Karasu, his hand covered in blood. Karasu looked at Darren saying, “What going to suck my blood.” All Darren did was snarl and twist Karasu's neck. He used his claws and took Karasu's neck clean off of his shoulders. The body fell to the ground and black blood started pouring out off his neck ten times as much as it did his arm. Darren then dropped the head and put his foot on top of it. He put more and more pressure on it until the skull gave way and was crushed underneath his foot. After doing this Darren's eyes turned back to hazel and he ran over to Luna, praying she was still alive and alright.

He check her heart beat getting a one, faint up there then he went and check Kit also find a faint, but still there heart beat. He put both in the car and rushed to Ukina's hoping his family would make it threw this. When he got to there house he yelled at the top of his lungs, “Ukina, Kuwabara I need your help!” Ukina and Kuwabara ran out, two strictures with them. They saw Luna and Kit causing them to gasp before rushing them into the clinic, Darren following close behind them.

While they were in surgery Darren saw Marin and Haru walk in with Koharu and Crystal with them. Before they got near him Darren yelled, “Get them out of here you lunk heads!” Haru saw Darren, who was covered in blood almost head to toe and led Marin out of the room he was in. He led Marin into the waiting room and told her they had to wait a few more minutes before handing the twins to Darren.

He looked up when he heard the door to the ER open and saw Ukina walk out. He stood up and walked over to her saying, “Are they alright?” “They are alright and should walk up soon,” said Ukina, “Now let's get you cleaned up.” “I'm fine it's not my blood,” said Darren. “Oh,” said Ukina, “Still take a shower to get the blood off and I'll get you some clean clothes.” Darren sighted but did what Ukina said, not really wanting to see Luna or Kit covered in blood anyway.

After he was cleaned up Darren walked into Kit and Luna's room, Crystal and Koharu in his arms. Crystal went to touch Luna's face when she woke up and looked at Darren. He smiled saying, “Its over we don't have to worry.” “That's good but what about Kit?” asked Luna. “He is alright but he is going to need a new arm,” said Darren. Luna sighed and sat up before taking Crystal into her lap and scratched her little girl behind the ears with her good arm. Crystal looked at her mother saying, “Mommy ok?” Luna opened her mouth amazed and Koharu said, “Daddy Mommy ok?” Kit laughed alittle getting Darren and Luna's attention and he said, “I knew I could get them to say a sentence instead of one word first.” Luna smiled and laughed alittle before rubbing her daughter's ears again. It was a perfect ending to the chaos that had been around them for what seemed like forever.
