Chapter three: You wanted answers? You have them now.

Yusuke had been walking alone for a few hours now. He knew it was not a very good thing to do to make Kurama and the rest wait for him, but he just needed to be alone for a little while, there were too many things rumbling in his head to focus in demons and monsters.

Little did he knew that someone he knew pretty well was about to bump into him…

"YUSUKEEEEEE!!" He looked up at the sky as the familiar voice of Botan coming from the sky. She jump down from her broom (A/N: I don't know if it is really a broom, just follow me please -__-) down to the floor falling in front of the teen. "OH YUSUKE!! I'M SO SORRY!" She hugged-squeezed Yusuke so tightly that Urameshi felt his intestines coming out from his mouth.

"Bo-tan…can't-breathe…"

"Oh!" She let him go. "Oops ñ_ñU" The boatman apologized. "Are you Ok Yusuke? I just heard about Keiko…" Botan said sadly trying to support her friend.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, not such a big deal." He lied. Botan knew it, but it was better to let him have it his way, the last thing he needed was an argue right now. "What ya doing here?" Yusuke asked curiously. Ok, she would certainly fly across the three kingdoms to be there for him, after all she was her friend, one of the bests he had, but she couldn't just simply take the liberty of doing that considering the pressure of her job.

"Well, I wanted to see how you were doing, but to be honest, I came because-"

"Let me guess. Koenma has a new mission, right?" He said bugged and Botan nodded. Maybe this wasn't the time for this, maybe she should look for the others.

"Yep."

"Ok. Why don't you tell me about it as we walk?" Yusuke hid his hands in the pockets of his jacked and started walking. Botan smiled. It didn't matter how much he was suffering right now, he had a mission that had to be done. She grinned even wider as she realized how much did Yusuke had matured since he became a spiritual detective, and that made her feel good. He would be just fine, all he needed was cry for a little while.

Meiou High entrance…

"Then all we gotta do is follow the original plan, no modifications or anything?" Setsuna asked.

"No." Hanasaki in her human form responded. "Everything goes as planned."

"Ok then. Gotta go. Dad and mom have plans for today and I got some babysitting to do." Sora took her hands to her nape and yawned. "See ya later, call me if anything shows up." She winked an eye and left.

"You should better go to Setsuna." The bat girl arched a brow to her superior.

"I'm still not convinced." She growled.

"So. Its and order, deal with it." Hanasaki said looking at the sky. "But if you don't want to obey, you can always find Hokuto, who knows where she is now." She chuckled. "I would go myself, but I have a million things to prepare for tomorrow."

"Whatever." Setsuna rolled her eyes." You're in charge." She turned around and started her way. "Have fun with our little ningen brats." She said sarcastically but Hanasaki just chuckled. Of course she didn't meant all the things she said about humans, after all that would be denying half of who she was, it was just her way of dealing with her reality. She placed a strand of her golden bronze hair behind her ear and walked away too.

*BEEP BEEP*

A sound came from inside her suitcase. She smirked. Time to get back at work.

"So a band of demons eh?" Yusuke wondered. "Well, that explains a lot." He stated when Botan had explained their new mission. Apparently, a band of real dangerous youkais were wondering in the ningenkai doing what they pleased. Now, wasn't that ironic? Suddenly their city becomes into a makai playground and then Hiei gets attacked. Sometimes it was just so easy.

"Hey Yusuke? Doesn't this place bring memories to you?"

"Uh?" Yusuke asked confused.

"Look around you." She obeyed and realized were they were. The exact same street where he had died for the first time, when it had all began.

"Yeah, This is were I met ya. I know I'm a jackass, but nothing I had ever done deserved such the punishment of dealing with you." He stuck his tongue to the blue haired girl and Botan fought her impulse of hitting him with her spiritual bat, but she stopped and laughed with him. After all, it was a sign that he was actually feeling better.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!"

The screaming of the crowd brought them back.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?"

"YUSUKE!! LOOK!!" Botan cried as she saw a girl trying to cross the street with dozens of cars running at all the speed they had. She was really short, about 1.30m. She didn't look any older than 13, probably 12. Her eyes were big and expressive cerulean shaded, but they showed no fear, they were more like amazed. She was gaping and looking around as she defied the drivers to try to avoid her. Her hair was really short and silver and was all brushed to the left side of her face partially covering it. She wore an oversized black t-shirt and denim shorts.

A car came to her and she jumped over it falling standing with her hands and then giggled. No one could believe what was happening, was she having fun?

"YUSUKE!! YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!"

Setsuna glanced interested at a bunch of people that yelled and cried something she couldn't really understand, so she approached.

"What is happening in here?" She mumbled as opened her way between the mass of ningens.

"Look who we have here." She smirked widely as she noticed the famous Reikai Tantie Yusuke Urameshi across the street. Then her eyes went wide as she saw the cause of such a crowd.

"…HOKUTO!!"

The little girl turned as she heard her name, but she didn't noticed a truck that was approaching to her.

"YUSUKE!!" Botan cried. The truck couldn't stop, it was about to roll over her!!

"KYAAAAAAAA!" Yusuke launched himself into the vehicles, but it was too late…

The girl only turned to face the truck in top of her. He tried to get her, but Botan grabbed him by his pants and pulled him back making him fall to the sidewalk. It was a shame for the poor girl, it was pointless for him to die again, she wouldn't forgive herself if she let that happen.

BRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

"SOMEBODY CALL AN AMBULANCE!!"

Was the only sound it was heard. Suddenly a giant cloud of smoke surrounded the area. Everyone covered their mouths and noses with their hands.

"OH! DAMN IT!" Yusuke hit angrily the floor with both of his fists. "WHAY DID YOU STOPPED ME BOTAN!!!I COULD HAD SAVE HER!!"

"OH!! LOOK!!!!!!!" The people screamed even louder.

"Oh…Yu-yu-suke…" O_o Botan had troubles finding the words. "You should better watch this…"

Yusuke raised his head, having troubles to believe his eyes.

"What the…O_O"

The could slowly vanished, and everybody's jaws went to the floor as they saw the truck cut in two right in the middle and the girl, standing in the same spot, not even a single hair out of its place…

"That isn't normal…" O_O Botan babbled…

"She must be…HEY YOU!!" Yusuke got up and ran into her.

"NOT SO FAST!!" From nowhere Setsuna appeared and flapped her wings to Yusuke making him back off with the strong wind. She then flew back to Hokuto, grabbed her hand and make the little youkai grab to her clothes. She just made a funny confused noise and winked at the Yasha.

She showed her fangs and her eyes went silver. Suddenly she got all the witnesses under her trance.

Hokuto tilted her head in the cutest gesture anyone had ever seen. Then she turned at the Tantei.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS TANTEI!!" Setsuna growled and flapping her wings again she flew away.

"YUSUKE!" Botan ran to him and helped him get in his feet again. He cleaned a small string of blood that dripped from his lips.

"Now that's the answer I needed. Botan! Go get Kurama and the others! I'll follow them! I think we just found our demons." He smirked and Botan nodded . She grabbed her broom, jump into it and flew away to look for the rest of the guys.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!" Setsuna walked in circles as Hokuto looked curiously at her sitting in the middle of the forest. Setsuna sighed exhausted. She knew Hokuto didn't understand what she had done. For Kami's sake, she didn't even spoke a single word of Japanese! The only way she had to communicate was by reading their kis and translating them. Why was she so mad at her? She hadn't done anything wrong. "Ok, calm down…" The bat girl took a cell phone from one of the pockets of her jacket. "Not such a big deal…"

-BEEP BEEP-

"DAMN IT KITSUNE!! PICK UP THE PHONE!! I KNEW SOMEHTING WILL GO WRONG!" She panted exasperated. "Hokuto, pay attention to me." She leaned to the shorter youkai. "Go back at Sora's understood? I'll stay around and investigate how many people watched you. Luckily I will erase all their memories, BUT DON'T MAKE ANY MORE STUPID THINGS!!" Hokuto just grinned at her. "Why do I even bother, It's harder to talk to you than to Hayabusa -____-///"

-BEEP BEEP BEEP-

"OWWWW!!" Setsuna moaned. "Maybe I should try something else."

-Hayabusa!!- She tried to contact Sora using telephaty.

-Yeah babe?-

-Get over here right now! We have a yellow code!-

-BUT BABE!! L' arc n' ciel is on TV! (N/A: L' arc n' ciel rocks!!!!) YOU WONT MAKE ME…-

-I SAID GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!-

-Ok,, I'll go…but you will owe me this one. How about you and I at the movie theater?-

­Setsuna rolled her eyes and ended the telepathic link.

At the park where Yusuke had left Kurama…

"WHAT! AND HE LEFT JUST LIKE THAT!!" Kuwabara yelled.

"Shut up stupid! You don't have to yell, I'm next to you." Hiei roared to the hysterical Kuwabara.

"GUYS!!!" Botan yelled to them still in her broom.

"Botan?!"

"QUICK!! YUSUKE NEEDS YOU!! HE'S AFTER A YOUKAI THAT LOOKS LIKE A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL AND A YASHA!"

-The bat girl…- Kurama thought. Then the three of them left running as fast as they could.

"Honestly Hokuto, what were you trying to do?" Setsuna asked exhausted one more time, not that she really expected her to answer.

"Set-su-na." Hokuto said happily and the yasha was surprised. Who had know? She could actually talk! She chuckled. It didn't matter what she did, Hokuto wouldn't understand why was she so mad. After all she had just arrived to ningenkai a few days ago, this whole world was new to her. She couldn't really blame her for anything.

Wrapping her wings around her body as if forming a cape she leaned into a tree. She closed her eyes and for a moment got lost in the silence…

Silence…

Too much silence…

That was never a good sign.

"HOKUTO!" She yelled as she opened her eyes violently and the shorter youkai made a backflip avoiding a spiritual energy similar to…

"Well, gotta admit you're smarter than I thought." Yusuke came out from between the bushes, his fingers still forming his shot gun and aiming to Setsuna. "And you are quite beautiful to be a youkai, what a shame."

"I told you to stay away from this…" She glared at him assuming a defense pose.

"Sorry, I can't Just doing my job." He smirked again. "Now, I have a couple of questions for you."

"Want answers?" Setsuna smirked and looked at Hokuto from the corner of her eye. "HERE YOU HAVE THEM!"

As if it was her cue, Hokuto moved behind him with a speed similar to Hiei's.

"WHAT!!?" Yusuke turned to her and the first thing he met was the little girl's fist against his face, that for his surprise, threw him away making him crash against several trees and broke them.

Setsuna grabbed Hokuto's hand and was about to flew away with her when a vine grew from nowhere underneath her and trapped her wings.

"Planning in leave so soon?" Kurama said walking calmly to her, Kuwabara came running behind him and Hiei was watching from a tree's branch.

Setsuna growled and using all the physical strength she had freed her wings from the plant master trap.

"Tell me Hiei, are this ladies the ones that attacked you." Kurama asked. Hiei stared at them, arms crossed and not a very happy expression in his face.

"Yes, two of them. The shortest of the four.WHERE'S THE DEMON HUNTER? I have personal business to finish with her!" He demanded and jumped of the tree. Setsuna cursed to her insides. She had others to avoid any kind of contact with this men, and now this.

"WAIT A SECOND!" Kuwabara protested." This two demons are women! BEAUTIFUL WOMEN! I REFUSE TO FIGHT THEM!"

"Shut up Kuwabara." Yusuke came back tumbling down. His arm was hurt and his whole body was sore. How was it possible that such a little body held so much strength?! He felt like a pack of wild horses had ran over him.

Hokuto looked at Setsuna. She was ready to fight, she had orders too to avoid the Reikai Tantei, but also she had orders to defend herself when attacked, and it didn't matter she couldn't talk their language, an attack is an attack in any realm you are at. So she assumed a fighting instance, waiting for any of them to make the first move.

"Surrender now, I will be easier for you."

"Sorry gorgeous, that won't happen." The boys looked at the third girl that appeared sitting playfully in a branch.

Hiei's blood boiled as he recognized that ki and that face. Sora noticed that and couldn't help but to giggle amused. "Hey baby face! Remember me?"

"You worthless witch…" he roared and she smirked.

"Really babe, you need me to keep you safe." She jumped down falling in front of Kuwabara. She winked an eye to him and the orange-head blushed wildly. "But id this are the kind of troubles you get into, I want to have your luck." The four males glared at her that walked to Setsuna and Hokuto, forming the third edge of a triangle. Each one of them facing a different tantei.

"Last chance, surrender now." Yusuke demanded. Setsuna and Sora smirked. This was officially an encounter, they wouldn't stay static there without defending themselves, right?

"Hokuto? Would you make me the honors?"

The blue eyed girl raised her hands to the sky and suddenly the sky got clouded and lightings and thunders filled them.

"You'll need more than fireworks to beat us..." Yusuke said with a cocky attitude. Come one, he had defeated Toguro! This would be nothing!

A lighting fall into direct into Hokuto's hands, but instead of hurting her an energy sphere appeared and slowly turned into a giant metal hammer that she grabbed with her little hands and swung it from left to right as if it was as light as a feather.

Then Setsuna extended her hand and used her spiritual energy to materialize a scythe.

Finally Sora get some magical talismans from inside her blouse.

They were ready to fight, and thing were going to get ugly.
