The Makai sky was so similar to the ningenkai, but the surroundings gave it a sense of danger and thrill that send shivers up your spine knowing that letting your guard down for a second can be deadly.

Kurama decide to walk around, he hid his Ki and proceeded to explore.

Hiei looked up at the sky same thing he saw every night. The same thing pop into his head. Was the choice he did five years ago, was it a smart one. He always thought of what he could have done. Did he really have a chance with the fox, was the prophecy a lie, could he have broken it.

"I guess I'll never know" sighed Hiei. As he closed his eyes and first thing that popped into his head was Kurama he then quickly opened his eyes.

"Damn it" he cursed.

Suddenly he felt an all too familiar pain by his abdomen.

"No, not again" he groaned. He felt his blood to start to heat up. A sharp poking pain on his lower stomach increase too barely tolerable. Sweat started to run down his face.

"Uugh" Hiei groaned while biting his lip he didn't want to make any noise. His Ki had started to increase. Soon blood started to run down his chin soaking his shirt.

Kurama was closed to approaching and isolated area cover by pine trees. When he heard Mokuro's voice and felt Hiei's Ki.

He hid behind the trees hiding his Ki and letting the trees absorb his Ki.

He heard Mokuro talking.

"When did it start?"

Hiei just tighten his eyes closed as he felt another spasm of pain course through him.

"I lost track of time." He grunted out.

"Is this because..." Mokuro asked. Looking up at the trees Hiei was still up there and she was ready if he lost his balance.

Hiei knew what she meant this was not new to him he had gotten these pains before, but today something trigger it.

Hiei shook his head not wanting to admit it that it was true.

"Hiei you stubborn asshole admit it."

"No" groaned Hiei as he finally lost his balance and fell down Mokuro just stood and watch as he hit the ground and pass out.

"Well that what you get," she check his pulse it was returning to normal, "all you needed was a good whack to get out of it."

Hiei started to move and finally regain consciousness.

"Damn" he muttered as he sat up.

"How you feeling?" Asked Mokuro

"Sore" replied Hiei as he stood up.

"Oh, damn was that my only option" he replied.

"I guess" said Mokuro as she started to walk away. "I wan t to talk to you later when you're not busy"

"Hai"

She walked off.

Kurama stood still, Hiei had a great sense of finding people hiding. He slow downed his breathing and stood still. He felt Hiei walked away.

After a few minutes he walked back towards the house. Kurama sighed and step inside and sat himself on the chairs in the living room.

Hiei walked out and headed towards the mountain covering Mokuro's territory.

"So when did you figure this was happening?" Asked Kurama

"Why?"

"You'll see when get there."

They both walk the rest of the way in silence.

"Enough day dreaming be focus Kitsune."

"Sorry"

"Yeah see not feel, but why did that happen?"

"That's what we need to find out?" Hiei responded.

"Don't you have any guards around?" Kurama asked.

"Yeah, but I've let them go, see there something that's bugging me. I feel someone from the inside is working for the out side but I can't figure it out so for now. I take care of thing personally." Hiei tap the cover jagan.

"I see" commented Kurama. "Well let's go see the other portals"

Hiei nodded and led the way.

Kurama sighed of relief when he reached the mansion.

"Tired?" Asked Hiei.

Kurama was too thirsty and his throat too dry he just nodded. Hiei call in a servant and order that dinner be made.

"I'll be back; the servant will take you to the dinning room. Start with out me." Hiei said as he left.

Hiei made his way down the corridor and towards Mokuro's office. He didn't even knock he just waited for the "come in" Mokuro could always sense his presences no matter how hard he try to cover it was no use.

"Come in" Mokuro said and Hiei entered.

"You wanted to see me about what?" Hiei asked as he sat himself down in front of her desk.

"I just want to know what happen today won't happen again soon, because this hasn't happen to you since what three months now. You've had this under control I presume." Mokuro said.

"Look I know how to deal with this okay I have under control."

"It doesn't look that way" Mokuro said, "as long you not vulnerable in battle that what I want to know. You'll be okay out there."

"I'll be fine I live through this for four years, I'll be fine you'll see." Hiei reassure her.

"Well I hope, That's all your dismiss."

Hiei nodded and left.

Kurama couldn't believe most of the food serve was from the ningenkai. He was made a nice big steak, rice as his side meal and red wine to follow.

Kurama just started to dig in when Hiei enter to find him with his mouth full of food.

Hiei just nodded his head and sat himself across from Kurama the servant immediately serve him and quickly step away.

"Kib" Hiei called out. The servant was nervous, he was a small apparition blue skin kind of looks like the demons who were from the ocean.

"H-hai, Master Hiei." He nervously said.

The little demon nodded and left.

"He's very afraid of you." Kurama commented as he finally swallowed his first mouthful.

"Always has been" Hiei commented as he started to eat.

Then the rest of the meal was eaten in silence.

The little blue demon made his way through the forest quickly running towards the portals checking them.

Then he ran closer to the outskirts of the territory. Some one in the dark was waited for him. He hid in the shadow and patiently waited with out any exchanged of words they both exchanged letter and quickly departed. Kib ran towards the mansion worry that he might be summoned. The stranger in the dark smile knowing...

He got dress and made his way out side and saw a faint fire inside of the woods he follow carefully.

After about five minutes of walking he found Hiei lying on the ground looking up at the sky and saw him feeding wood to the growing fire.

"Couldn't sleep" Hiei stated.

"I hope you don't mind but you still own me a small talk session." Kurama said.

"Why?" Hiei asked as he closed his eyes and rested his hands behind his neck.

"I would like to know how you been for the last years." Kurama asked as he ran his finger over Hiei face tracing his lips, nose and cheek.

Hiei tremble a bit. The he sighed. "Why don't you start?" He said as he relaxed and didn't say anything about Kurama's caresses.

Kurama smile when Hiei didn't pull away.

"All right I'll start."

"Well I graduated from college and move out of my mother's home of course. I been doing researches on ningenkai plants to make medicine, and still trying to control Makai plants in my human from. So far I accomplished a lot. I usually practiced in the temple's forest. I see Yukina a lot and she doing fine except..." Kurama froze and lifted his hand away from Hiei's face. When he suddenly remember what Hiei was doing earlier that was the same thing she been through. 'Oh Inari' Kurama thought.

"Me, well I been practicing I'm learning a new technique which is rather difficult but I'm close to mastering it. I grew more as you can see and my black outfit no longer fits me and I couldn't find a bigger one."

"No wonder" Kurama commented.

"Hn, that's about it" Hiei said.
