Chapter Three: The Meeting

~Dream Sequence~

Amelia was in a forest. A younger version of her, about five years of age, was running. From what she didn't know, but whatever it was she did not want it to catch her. Her clothes were torn and saturated with blood, blood that did not belong only to her. She could hear the unknown pursuer catching up but she dared not look back to see it. Suddenly she tripped! Amelia closed her eyes knowing death was coming....

~End Dream Sequence~

Amelia awoke in cold sweat. True, she had had nightmares before but none of them had felt so real. So real, that if felt like a memory instead of a simple dream.

She looked around to discover she was back in her room, in her own bed. The memories of the day before came flooding back to her.

She sat up only to be rewarded with a wave of dizziness.

"Hey you're awake."

She turned to see Sky sitting next to her bed.

"W-what happened?" Amelia asked.

"You don't remember? We had been fighting; some guy came up behind you. He was about to hit you and this...fireball flew out of you're hand, hit him square in the chest, and it...well it kind of incinerated him," Sky explained.

Amelia just stared at him, trying to digest what he had said and make sense of it.

"That's awfully hard to believe Sky. Are you sure that's what happened?" Amelia asked.

"I'm positive," he assured.

"Oh man, I'm in trouble huh?"

"I doubt it. I mean, who's going to believe those guys anyway."

"Well, I should go tell Z you're okay before those siblings of yours kill her. They've been worried sick about you. You've been asleep for about two days now."

"WHAT!?!” Amelia exclaimed.

”I know; you passed out right after the fight. You gave us quite a scare.”

With that Sky proceeded to go tell everyone that Amelia was alright, stepping over the toys that practically carpeted the stairs.

"She's okay people!" Sky yelled over the noise.

The minute the other children heard this they ran straight to Amelia's room, trampling Sky and Z in the process.

Once there they asked Amelia a million questions at once.

"What happened?"

"Are you okay?"

"Did you get sick?"

"How can you sleep so long?"

"Can I have some candy please?"

Amelia already had a headache, so she just did what normally did in such a situation. She yelled until they shut up.

"BE QUIET!!!!!" She screamed.

"Nothing happened, I'm fine, no I'm not sick, I don't know how I can sleep so long, and no you can't have candy," she answered.

They had been given their assignment and were already in America. The problem was they didn't know where to go.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT US LOST URAMESHI!" Kuwabara exclaimed.

"WELL DON'T BLAME ME YOU WERE HOLDING THE MAP UPSIDE DOWN!!!" Yusuke yelled back.

"Actually, we're not lost. I believe that's the place over there," Kurama interrupted.

"Good. The sooner we find the girl, the sooner we can leave," Hiei said.

"Heh heh. I thought you'd be excited Hiei, this Amelia girl could end up being your new girlfriend," Kuwabara teased.

Hiei then proceeded to kick the crud out of Kuwabara. It took both Kurama and Yusuke to pull them apart.

"Will you two stop fighting for one second?" Yusuke screamed.

Kuwabara and Hiei reluctantly stopped fighting and walked over to the orphanage. Kurama knocked on the door. They wouldn't have had a problem if not for the fact that Anna had been the one to answer it.

Anna had always idolized Amelia and tried her best to look and act exactly like her. This normally wasn't a problem except when Anna snuck into Amelia's room to borrow one of her knives, or tried to dye her hair from its natural pink to black, or tried to pick a fight with people three times her size, or....you get it.

"Can I help you?" Anna said while glaring at them.

"Hi, we're here to see Amelia, is she here?" Kurama asked politely.

"That depends, why do you want to see her?" Anna answered.

"Please it's really urgent we need to talk to her," Yusuke explained.

"Does she even know you morons," Anna asked in a rude voice.

Before anyone could answer Amelia came downstairs.

"Hey Amelia do you know these morons?" Anna repeated.

"Nope," Amelia answered, grabbing an apple out of the kitchen.

"Good bye."

Anna then slammed the door in their faces.

"Please Amelia; we're here to talk to you about what happened a few days ago," Yusuke said through the door.

They heard footsteps and then the door opened. This time it was Amelia who answered.

"H-how could you possibly know about that?" Amelia asked in bewilderment.

"Can we come in to talk?" Kurama asked.

"Oh, right. I'm sorry. Anna's a bit...there are no words to describe how Anna is," she apologized.

"It's alright we've dealt with way meaner people then a little brat with an attitude problem," Kuwabara said.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A BRAT YOU IDIOT!?!" Anna yelled.

Amelia dragged Anna to her room before she hurt anyone. It may have been true that Anna was young, but you did not want to fight Anna when she was in a rage. It was like signing your own death sentence.

"You were saying?" Amelia asked.

"Well where should I begin? Kurama started.

 

Yay, I got a review! Thank you very much to the first person to review, Ashnight. To answer your question Z and Sky are not related to Roronoa Zolo. I just got the idea for them from him. That's how I get a lot of my ideas. I've made up a lot of stories, but this is the first one that I've actually written down. I'm very glad that someone likes my story.
