A/N: Hey guys me again, how do you like it? I know this must seem confusing for you, but don't worry the whole story will be told in Chapter three
Chapter Two
The Chase
Hiei's POV
My eyes went wide went she fell backwards off the tower. I ran over to the railing and jumped over it without even thinking; I watched her disappear into the darkness, then I smirked. So the little Major wants a chase? I'll give her a chase!
"Come on Mr. Darkman I know your faster than that, compare to your size!"
I grit my teeth in anger, as I started to run faster. She's close... her spiritual energy is very strong and powerful just like her fathers, I need to becareful and try not to piss her off too much... but what fun will be in that? I do need a challenge.
I smirked at that, yes she would be a tough oppenent. Then something caught my eye when I saw something jump across the rooftop, I smirked once more when I jumped to follow it. It wasn't her; my smirk went away and went into a serious look.
"Ariya-"
Before I could say her full name, she came out of no where and tackled the thing and went over the rooftop. I followed them to the bottom of the building and saw her and the demon look a like staring at each other angrily.
"What do you want Suji, and why are you here? Did my father sent you!?" She asked.
The thing called Suji made a low and darkly laugh and spoke.
"WELL MY DEAR ARIYAWNA, YES YOUR FATHER DID SENT ME, AND HE WISHES THE RING BACK, AND IF YOU DON'T... WELL THERE'S GOING TO BE A BLOOD BATH."
Why would her own father kill his only daughter?
"He would kill me over a fuckin ring!? You've got to be kidding me!!"
"I BELIEVE IT'S TRUE, HE NEEDS IT FOR THE CEREMONY NEXT WEEK, NOW GIVE ME THE RING!!"
"I don't think so, if it was so powerful why would he send you while he can get himself?"
"HEH, HEH, YOU'RE A CLEVER ONE AREN'T YOU, WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER YOUR STILL GOING TO DIE!!"
"Heh, we'll see about that. I'll handle this Darkman you just sit back and watch."
I have been watching for over a week now... Well it wouldn't hurt just to watch her once more.
"DIE!!"
I jumped on top of the building watching them fight, I saw Suji charge at her with full force. When he got close she suddenly disappeared.
"Where the hell did you go wench!?" He yelled as he starts turning in circles in a frusterated manner.
Heh, this guy is more stupid than I thought. He can't even sense her spirit energy above him.
"Up here ugly!!" she yelled as she came down with her katana in hand.
She managed to cut off his arm; then tried to dodge his claws, but got her in the left shoulder. Both cuts looked pretty deep, it looks like she'll faint in the matter of ten minutes at the most. I watched Suji growl in anger as he charged at her but not with full force, because of his missing arm and how much energy he had lost.
She managed to dodge the attack but stumbled as she did and fell to the ground. Her eyes were closed as she clutched her left shoulder in pain. Suji turned around with a wicked smile on his face as he started to charge once more. I was about to interfere when Ariyawna's eyes shot up. I stopped and watched her as she brought her sword out in front of her making Suji go right through it. He stopped and looked down in shock as the sword was through his stomach.
He then looked up at her in a pained look.
"THIS... IS NOT YET... OVER ARIYAWNA... YOUR FATHER WILL... DESTROY THIS PUNY... LITTLE PLANET... ONCE HE GETS A HOLD... OF YOU..."
"Then I guess I have to... watch my back then... until then... I'll see you... in hell..."
She pulled her sword out and quickly sliced his head off. His head rolled down to her feet, and then disappeared into black ashes. Then a little bit of wind picked up and made the ashes disappear into the dark sky. I looked back down to Ariyawna which was on the ground lying on her back with a pained expression.
I jumped down and landed at her side, she managed to opened her eye while smirking.
"Well it looks like I caught you then huh?"
"Heh, heh well look at that, and you didn't even get a scratch on you. But I still say that your a little slow..."
Her face went to a playfull smirk to a pained look.
"You've lost too much blood, you must rest..."
I watched her smile for the first time at me and spoke.
"You seem to know my name, why don't you tell me yours that's if you still want me to call you Mr. Darkman...?"
"My name is Hiei..."
"Hmm... Hiei... such a nice name to a person that has beautiful eyes..." she said as she brought up her good arm to touch his face.
I feel her hand touch my face, I looked at her in surprise ment as her hand fell to the ground next to her. Her eyes closed and fell unconscious; my eyes were still wide as if I still felt her hand on my face, and the compliement made blood rush to my cheeks. What the hell is wrong with me? Am I becoming soft?
I shook my head to erase the thoughts but still kept coming back; I picked her up carefully trying not to touch her wounded arm and jumped up on the roof.
Hm... Karuma's house isn't far from here, I bet he wouldn't mind if he fixed her up...
After that thought I jumped from rooftop to rooftop heading toward Karuma's house.
