Girl of eternal suffering
Episode 2:
Sweet Little Amai
And Her Missing Okasan
Koenma left the room returning a moment later with a short girl in an extravagant blue kimono stitched with sakura petals. Her straight black hair hung loose, flowing like water over her shoulders and down to the middle of her back. She had big blue eyes and a soft purple sash around her waist.
She bowed and said softly “konnichiwa”
The girl looked very worried, but her eyes were soft and kind. Hiei examined the child intently. Something definitely wasn't right about the girl. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but he knew something was… off.
“How is it that you know where Yugure is?” Hiei said in a suspicious tone.
Her expression immediately became sorrowful “Because of Okasan… I'm worried about her.” She averted her eyes to fall on the ground.
Oh! Then Yugure must have done something like kidnapped her mother…
Amai continued “it's just- I know where she is and we must save her before something happens which I know something will!” A few droplets of water fell to the floor. Amai immediately brought up her sleeve to wipe the moisture from her eyes. She sighed. “And so I promise to help you if you promise to help Okasan!” She offered a sad smile.
“And you're sure Yugure is involved.” Koenma said softly.
At that Amai gave a truly puzzled look. And her expression nearly screamed the words OF COURSE! She nodded.
“Well then I don't think anyone should need convincing beyond that, now, should they.” Kurama said smiling. Everyone in the room nodded in agreement.

Hiei fell back to walk with Kurama. “So,” he said in a low voice “how did Kuwabara take the news”
“Pretty hard. He's still awfully upset about it…” Kurama said, keeping his voice low.
Hiei nodded “I thought as much… hmph. At least the baka isn't as noisy anymore,” he said giving a small smirk and vaguely observing the orange-haired brute.
“Here we are” Koenma said pushing open the door to an abandoned warehouse. Everyone followed him inside, to the back of the warehouse and in a small room where Koenma pulled up a floorboard. Underneath the browned tile was a thick black haze- their portal to the demon world, where Amai claimed Yugure to be.
They each in turn swallowed hard and dove into the darkness.

In a small forest in the Makai Amai led them forward. They walked for a while until the sound of someone darting from tree to tree caught their attention. Amai paused. Eventually the noises came closer until someone flashed in front of them: A woman in full, pure black, Samurai garb that had her back to them. She had two katanas at her waist one with white wrappings around the hilt and the other with black. Her straight black hair was pulled into a ponytail tied by bamboo string. And from what they could tell she was really short, only an inch or so taller than Hiei!
“Who are you” Her voice was deep and powerful “and why are you following me?”
Amai's eyes brightened “so it IS you” she said quietly, relief mirrored in her words. Then she suddenly cried, “OKASAN!” and rushed to fling her arms around the woman. The woman turned just in time to catch Amai in her arms. “I'm so glad you're alright…” She sobbed into the woman's shoulder. The woman hugged Amai tight then pushed her away, looking her angrily in the eye.
“What are you doing here?” There was fury in her voice. And she stood to glare at the others. “WHY HAVE YOU BROUGHT HER HERE?!” The woman yelled, Rage chiseled into her features.
“It's alright, Okasan.” Amai said pleadingly. “They don't mean any harm. I wanted to come here!” She turned to the group. “This is my Okasan. Well not really I don't know whom my real mother is…” she stared at the ground “but she has been the mother to me that I never found” she smiled then continued “ But you guys kept calling her by her real name”
“Her real name?” Yusuke said not daring to think the answer.
“Yugure.” The girl said smiling proudly at the fact.
