Millie: calm down you two, Black just type

Black: not until he says he is sorry

Hiei: *growls*

Millie: *glares at him* just say it

Hiei: No

Millie: Do it or she wont type!!!!

Millie: I will sick Kuwabara on you!

That night when Melissa went to sleep something happened; there was the sound of her door clicking shut. Her eyes snapped open, she hadn't truly been sleeping, her mind kept drifting to thoughts of earlier today.

`It's probably nothing, just Kuwabara or Yusuke being stupid in the hallway'

She convinced herself in thought, when she sensed someone in the room, the aura was faint and well hidden but she could certainly tell someone was in her room. Melissa sat up and looked around, but saw nothing, only her room shadowed by darkness.

`There is no one here stop being paranoid'

She thought when she heard a deep, echoing laughter. Her eyes widened and she looked around more frantically.

“I am right here you foolish girl”

The person snapped their voice as cold as ice and as sharp as a knife, it sent chills up Melissa's spine as she listened.

“Show yourself!”

She commanded.

“I don't think so”

She peered deep into the shadows when two crimson eyes opened and glowed brightly in the darkness.

“Who are you? What do you want?”

“Who I am is not of importance as long as you tell no one that I was here tonight…is that clear girl?”

They said coldly, she slowly nodded.

“Good, the reason I am here is to tell you to back the fuck off from Sarah, she needs no more trouble then she already has, do you understand me?! Leave her the hell alone!”

“She is my friend I care about her!”

“Likely story, no one does, it's all a lie, she can see right through all of you, we all can, now my advice is to leave her the fuck alone or I will take matters into my own hands and trust me you do not want that!!!!”

Melissa thought for a moment, then sighed.

“Fine, I will stop pestering her”

“Good, now don't let me catch you all doing anything like prying into her life again or else”

The person started laughing again until the eyes disappeared and then the energy of this person did all together. Melissa was worried now, who was this person? Why were they so protective of me?

“I have to find out”

The next morning I awoke with a pounding head ache, I sat up rubbing my head and noticed I was in the hallway.

“What am I doing out here?”

I looked up to see Melissa coming out of her room; she arched her eye brow in question.

“Sarah what are you doing in the hallway?”

“I don't know what the hell I am doing out here, I woke up this way!!!! With a bad head ache too!”

I stood up and wobbled a bit, but quickly regained my balance.
“What is wrong with you, you look like you have seen a ghost or something? You ok?”

“Mhm, just had a little nightmare”

She told me.

`That bitch is lying to you…'

`Quiet yourself, it is none of our business'

`The hell it isn't!!!! It was none of her business to come butting into our lives but she did it anyway'

`Shut up and get over it'

“Why don't you just shut up!!!”

I hissed, Melissa winced slightly.

“What did I say?!”

She asked in a defensive manner, my eyes slightly widened.

“Oh no nothing, not you”

I quickly said to cover up my mistake, I cursed myself then went down to get some breakfast from the kitchen.

“Good morning Sarah”

“Uggh morning Kurama”

Yusuke glared at the back of my head as I drank some milk.

“She seems cheerful this morning”

He growled, Kurama said nothing and walked over to read some more of his book, when Melissa came stepping out. She silently motioned for Kurama to come over to her; he arched his brow but did it anyway.

“Melissa is something wrong?”

“I don't know, but something happened last night Kurama, someone came into my room late last night”

“Do you know who it was?”

She shook her head.

“No, I couldn't see their face, all I could see was their eyes, to red ones just staring at me, but that's not the point, the point is they were yelling at me to back off of Sarah and to leave her alone or else they will take matters into their own hands”

“Hmmm….that is strange”

“I am a little worried about what it meant”

He rubbed his chin in thought.

“They must be someone close to her, but who could it be that took the measures to threaten you about it?”

She shrugged, feeling useless among all of this, he placed a hand on her shoulder, and she blushed slightly.

“Do not worry Melissa; I am sure we will figure all of this out”

`They are pestering again'

`Only because of you, you made her pester because of what you did!'

“What she did?! What did she do?!”

I yelled to know one, everyone in the room stared at me like I was an alien from another planet, I didn't even acknowledge them.

`Go ahead tell her what you did!!!'

`Hn. I won't tell anyone anything, what I did was a favor'

`Psssh yeah right'

“Does this have anything to do with me waking up in the hallway this morning!?”

`I am doing this for your own well being, our well being Sarah; listen to me not to her!!!!!'

`No don't you listen to her!!!!!'

“SHUT UP!!!!!”

I finally screamed this silenced everyone; Hiei narrowed his eyes at me, slightly curious as to what I was doing.

“Don't you say a word!”

Everything was quiet.

`You don't need them Sarah'

`They care about you!!!!'

`Leave them behind like everyone else has done to you….like your family did to you…they are just like them they think you are trash!!!!'

`No don't you believe her they care about you Sarah!!!!!!!!!'

`No they don't just look at them...in their eyes you're a freak'

`LIAR'

I screamed as a pain shot through my brain, I fell to my knees, moaning and groaning in agony, Yusuke and Kuwabara rushed over to me.

“Sarah!!!”

Hiei jerked up from his seat at the window and ran over, he hated to admit it to himself but he was a little worried, Melissa and Kurama came running in from the other room to see what was going on.

“What happened?!”

“We don't know she just started yelling at no one and fell to the ground yelling in pain!!!”

Yusuke explained.

“Make…them STOP!!!!!”

I growled in a terrifying deep voice, my eyes changed from blue/green to white, to gold, to crimson in a millisecond, they gasped when I passed out.

“What was that?”

Kuwbara asked, trembling.

“No idea”

Yusuke answered, Hiei kneeled down and took a good look at me, he had no idea either, there was a short silence.

“Let's take her to the infirmary and wait until she wakes up then alright? Then we will ask her what happened”

Melissa suggested, they all nodded, Hiei scooped me up into his arms and brought me to the infirmary. He laid me down on one of the white beds and stared at me for a moment before walking off.
