Kurama wake up slowly, head pounding. He lifted his hand to brush his temples, finding he could not. He tried to focus- why couldn't he think? Focusing in his hand, he moved it. It twitched. He opened his eyes painfully, then tilted his head toward it. Yes, he was moving it. He tried to focus on his arm- the image swam and focused, doubled and focused, too blurred to see.
He tried to lift it. Nothing. He yanked on it, his pitiful attempts straining his arm and causing his temples to throb even more. A slight pressure- he was tied.
He looked at his arm again, this time his vision clearing enough to see what bound his arm so tightly. A thick rope was wrapped around his forearm, as well as his legs and neck. Tied to tightly to breathe, much less escape, he studied his predicament meticulously, searching for that detail, that tiny flaw, that would help him.
He was in an ancient, crumbling place, walls thick though decapitated. Pillars surrounded him, and he realized that he was tied to one.
It was then he noticed that `ropes' weren't ropes. They where vines. Dead, still vines he could not control or move.
But they where moving. Slowing but strongly, they where tightening his legs and pulling his arms tighter against the pillar his was bound to. They where also tightening against his neck.
Struggling to breathe, he tried again and again to reach the vines and order them to stop. Nothing. What sort of maniac would keep him alive and go through the trouble to take him to this ancient place just to strangle him as he woke?
He question was answered a minute later when a young lady appeared in the crumbling arch. She smiled at him, floating near- she seemed to glide on the air, almost ethereal, not of this world. His vision doubled- there was no air! Everything blurred, then black ate away at the edges of his vision.
“Now, now, pet,” the woman purred in his ear, tracing a slender finger down his cheek. “Don't pass out. It won't be fun it you're not conscious to struggle, now will it?”
The pressure on his neck loosened, and he gasped futily for air. She smiled wider. “Good- breathe deeply. Nothing about it would be fun without you knowing what was happening…”

Kurama groaned, realizing what she meant and knowing he could do nothing to stop any of it. The pressure tightened, and everything went black. “Now, now,” she whispered, kissing him gently on the cheek. “I'll wake you later, when things are more ready …”
