Chapter 8- One rose

You woke up the nest morning a little hazy about last night. Then you remembered…you just had one of the best days in your life with Kurama. You hugged your pillow with a big grin on your face. As you walked in the kitchen, you noticed Genkai was gone. There was a folded piece of paper on the table. You unfolded it only to find the same choors written down. You gaped at the list. `What?!' You thought. Then on the bottom of the paper you could see the words `choors that are done can still be improved.' You let out a big sigh and slouched a little.

"Great, another funfilled day of work, work, and more work…" You say to yourself frowning.

For the next week you had the routine of getting up, eating breakfast, choors, lunch, choors dinner, then sleep. It seemed as the days moved on, the more choors you had to do. Finally, it was a Friday, the best day of the week. You looked on the table, then noticed something. No choors list! You jumped with joy. You didn't know what to do first. Then you thought about getting together with Yusuke and the others again. You picked up the phone and called Kayko.The phone rang.

"..Hello?" You heard a sleepy voice say.

"Kayko! Wake up! Call Yusuke and everyone, we're going to the city again!" You said excited.

There was a long silence.

"…(y/n), it's 9:30 on a Friday, what's the rush?" Kayko asked yawning.

"Just meet me at the mall in the city with the others at 1:00pm, okie?" You asked.

You heard a yea yea yea, then a hang up. You thought to yourself maybe I wasn't supposed to call her this early. You took a bath using the shampoo that not only made your hair shiny and clean but also smell (scent). Then You washed your face and your body. Wrapping yourself and your hair in a towel, you turned on the radio. You felt like dancing because all that work you did all week has finally paid off. After blow drying your hair, you picked out your best clothes. You looked in the mirror and smied. Perfect. You put on some make up and perfume. Then finally you grabbed your purse. It was only 10:30am. You sweat dropped. What am I going to do for three hours? You decided to go to the city anyway. You wanted to eat at a breakfast place there anyway. Since Genkai wasn't around, again, you decided to let yourself out leaving a note on the table that you were out. You left your cell phone number written down too.

You called a taxi and stepped inside.

"Where to miss?" The driver asked.

"The city please."

"Alright."

The whole way, you were looking out the window thinking of Kurama, Kurama, and more Kurama! You just couldn't get him out of your head. Then you felt a jolt. You were finally there!

"Thank you!" You said and threw the money at the driver.

"Hey!" The driver yelled. "Teenagers these days…pff."

You looked at your watch as you were running towards the mall. It was 12:00pm. You decided to go into the food court to grab a bite. You walk in the mall and look around for the food court.

"There it is!" You said to yourself.

You glanced around and decided to eat at Uncle Lou's Express (sound kinda familiar?). You walked up to the counter, they seem to not have a lot of customers. Right away, you could see why.

"Excuse me?"

Suddenely, you saw a huge, fat man with a frying pan in his hand turn around. His shirt was wet with his sweat and he wore a black hair net that wasn't really stopping grease from going into his hair. He smelled like grease. He looked so happy to have a customer.

"Welcome to Uncle Lou's express! How may I help you? We have fried chicken express, Beef with fried potaters express, Fried fish express-"

"Umm, do you have anything that's not fried, sir?" You asked a little scared.

The man rubbed his chin.

"Well, we do have our salad with the fried chicken strips on top." He said.

"I'll just have that without the chicken strips please." You said politely.

"Com'in right up!" The man said. "That will be $4.95 please!"

He went to the back of the kitchen for a while and came back with a huge plate of salad with a lot of dressing. He slid it infront of you.

"Have a nice day!"

Your eyes widened as you stared at the plate. You managed to bring it over to a table and took out a fork. You about to eat when you heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, there she is!"

You turned around only to see Kayko waving her arms with the others. You waved back.

"Whoa, did you go to Uncle Lou's express?" Kayko said wide eyed.

Then a figure pushed her off to the side looking hungry.

"Uncle Lou's?! Hey, (y/n) you want me to help you eat that?!" Kuwabara yelled.

You had a disgusted expression on your face. "Umm…sure I guess."

You whispered to Kayko. "I think I lost my apetite anyway…"

You both giggled. Then you looked around. You couldn't find the person you wanted to see the most.

"Where's Kurama, Kayko?" You asked.

The others all glanced at eachother. "Umm, he couldn't make it. He said he was busy doing some choors." Kayko said.

You didn't believe her for a while. You felt a little down-hearted. You were planning to spend the whole day with him along with the rest of the group.

"Don't worry! He said he was going to catch up with us if he finished." Kayko assured.

"Oh okie…" You said not sounding too happy.

The rest of the day dragged on. It was kind of fun, but it wasn't the same with out Kurama with you guys. You walked around the mall with Kayko and Botan while the guys went to the arcade. After shopping and looking at clothes, you and the girls sat on a bench.

"(Y/n), you don't seem so happy. Is it because Kurama's not here?" Kayko asked.

"I knew it! I knewyou two liked eachother! Don't worry (y/n) he'll come soon enough. You know him." Botan said.

You smiled a little. "Yea, I guess your right. I don't know. I just have this sort of happy and anxious feeling around him. I don't feel so alone when I'm around Kurama. It's like I've known him forever…"

Kayko and Botan both smiled at eachother. Kayko suddenely hugged you leaving you surprised.

"That is so cute, (y/n." Kayko said.

All of you started laughing.

"Come on, let's go see if we can do more shopping!" You said happily standing up.

Botan and Kayko sweat dropped. "We're all broke, (y/n)."

"Well, then let's just walk around." You said.

Botan and Kayko sighed. "Alright."

After a few hours trying on clothes and window shopping, you finally met up with the guys.

"Had a good time boys?" Botan asked.

"Yea, but Kuwabara wasted all his tokens just to try to win a stuffed monkey." Yusuke said smirking.

"Hey! This monkey means a lot to me okay?! I can give it to Yukina." Kuwabara said as Hiei glared at him.

You seemed confused. Yusuke quickly covered Kuwabara's mouth,

"Who's Yukina?" You asked.

"Heehe, nobody, (y/n0. She's just a friend from school." Yusuke said sweating.

Kuwabara started nodding up and down quickly.

"okay…" You said kind of suspicious.

((That Evening…))

You guys were walking down the street. It was getting sort of late and you were sad because Kurama never showed up. The group suddenely stopped so you stopped walking too a little clueless.

"Why are we stopping here?" You asked. "I thought we were going to Yusuke's to eat?" You asked.

"Umm, you wait here okay? We'll be back later. We have to do some stuff. Right guys?" Yusuke said a little shaky.

The others nodded.

"Okayyy…What am I supposed to do here?" You said.

"Umm, just wait, we'll be back." Yusuke said a little quickly. They all started running in different directions.

"Wuh? Hey you guys!! Where are you going?" You said.

Now you were really confused. You looked around, having no idea what to do. Then you noticed a yellow building behind you. It was the one Kurama pointed out to you with the rose vines growing on its walls. You looked at it a little curious wondering why Yusuke and the others left you here. Then you noticed something fall at your feet. It was a red rose. You picked it up and smelled it…It smelled familiar. You looked up only to meet two gorgous emerald green eyes. You suddenely smiled and he smiled to.

"I missed you."
