Chapter 3- Shh, it's a secret

"Hey, ___."

"Huh?" You looked up, Yusuke was waving at you.

"Dinner at my place, come on!" Yusuke yelled.

You ran after him and all of you (Yusuke, you, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei) stepped into a portal leading to the human world. You suddenly appeared in Yusuke's living room. Curious, you looked around the place.

"Make yourselves comfortable." Yusuke said stretching. "MA!"

Instantly, a woman appeared from what seemed to be the kitchen. She smiled widely.

"Yusuke! You are all back just in time! Dinner is almost ready." She said. Her eyes met yours. "And who is this nice young lady?"

Hiei snorted.

"That's ___. Is it okay if she stays her tonight?" Yusuke said without your aproval.

"Of course honey. She can stay in the guest room." Yusuke's mother said disappearing into the kitchen again.

"Ohh, it's alright with you, right?" Yusuke asked.

"Yea, sure."

"Dinner's ready!" Yusuke's mom yelled.

"Yes! FINALLY!" Kuwabara said running into the kitchen.

Everyone followed him into the kitchen. Hiei walked in front of you, and you had the urge to push him aside. You stepped in front of him laughing. Hiei stood up from the floor and brushed his clothes. He glared at you.

"I will get you for that, baka." He said.

"Try to, shorty." You said back. Hiei clenched his hands into fists. "You wouldn't dare hurt a girl."

During dinner, Yusuke's mom was setting down all kinds of great food. You stuffed yourself because you were starved.

"You're going to eat all of the food." You heard the dark voice say.

You looked at him ready to shoot at whatever insults you had, but then you saw Kurama. He was shaking his head slowly at you. You clenched your fists, but then swallowed and smiled.

"I'm glad you care, Hiei." You said sweetly. Hiei glared at you. "You need your vegetables to grow big and tall. Here, you can have my cooked broccoli."

Hiei stood up abruptly as you calmly continued eating.

"Why don't you tell that to my face?" Hiei said glaring at you menacingly.

You stood up glaring back at him.

"Too bad I would have to be looking DOWN at you to say it." You barked.

"Bitch!"

"BASTARD!"

Yusuke stood up.

"Okay, okay guys! CHILL. Can you settle this later? We're all trying to eat. Now just shut up and eat."

"Fine." You said as you and Hiei sat back down.

I can't stand that Hiei! Ooh, when I get my hands on him…

What will you do once you get your hands on me?

Wide-eyed, you looked at Hiei. He glared at you then continued eating again. You couldn't believe it. How did he know? No way…

You baka. If you haven't noticed I can read people's minds. Now I don't want to hear any more shit from you. I'm tired of wasting my time arguing with you. If you EVER think of doing anything to me, I will kill you before you even do it.

You stood up pointing at Hiei. Everyone looked at Hiei, then back at you.

"That's IT! I've lost my appetite! I can't STAND you Hiei! I'm going to bed early." You pushed back your chair and stomped upstairs.

Hiei smiled a little as he continued eating. Everyone else stared at him. Kurama shook his head disapprovingly.

"What did you tell her?"

-------In the guest room------

You were about to slip into bed, when you heard a knock on the door. You opened it and saw Yusuke's mom carrying some clothes.

"Here you, ___. These are mine, you can use them for sleeping." Yusuke's mom said handing you the clothes.

"Oh, thank you." You said.

"Good night, dear." She closed the door behind her.

You started taking off your shirt, but then you heard another knock.

"____?" You heard a familiar voice say.

The door was about to open so you quickly slid into your shirt.

"Yea?" You said.

It was Yusuke and someone else behind him. You couldn't tell who, it was dark.

"We almost forgot. Hiei get your ass in here!" Yusuke yelled.

"She can take care of herself! She doesn't need me!" Hiei yelled back.

"I got a message from Botan. She said that Koenma said that Hiei should watch over you as long as you're with us." Yusuke said grabbing Hiei by his cloak to prevent him from running away.

Hiei slapped Yusuke's hand away. You stood up and yelled at Yusuke.

"You've got to be KIDDING me!" You yelled. "This is so not fair!"

"Koenma's orders." Yusuke shrugged. "Good night."

Yusuke closed the door behind him. There was a long silence. You grabbed your pajama pants and walked towards the guest bathroom.

"I'm going to change. You better not do anything stupid." You warned Hiei.

"Or what?" Hiei said.

You slammed the door and changed. You brushed your teeth and washed your face. Before opening the door, you looked around the room. Hiei was sitting in the corner of the room watching you.

"You know, you don't have to-"

"Don't talk to me." He said quickly.

You pouted then laid on your bed with the blanket over your head.

Hiei's P O V

Hiei watched your still body. For hours, he sat there awake, staring at you. This is so stupid. She's not doing anything. What a waste of my time. Hiei yawned. His eyelids started getting heavier and heavier. Soon enough, he fell asleep.

Noraml P O V

"She is one of them?"

"Yes, she is part of the demon rebels."

"Keep her in the dungeon."

Two huge demon soldiers gripped both of your arms and dragged you to the dungeon. After going down a few stairs, it started getting extremely hot. You looked up and saw what looked like the dungeon keeper.

"Another one of the demon rebels sir." One of the soldiers holding your arm said.

"Excellent." The dungeon keeper said. He jerked your chin up. "She is beautiful."

He chuckled.

"She needs to be searched. One of the rebels stole the Blood ruby, she might be the one." One of the soldiers stated.

"Oh, goody. Just leave her here." The beast said licking his lips. The soldiers left.

You started shaking. The Dugeon Keeper only laughed.

"Don't worry…This will only hurt a little." He laughed. "Now, let's see if that ruby is under that shirt of yours."

Before the beast was able to rip your shirt apart, you took out a knife from your boot. You stabbed his hand.

"AHHH!!" He yelled. "You little-"

He was about to lunge at you, but you were too fast. You took the knife and stabbed his chest. The beast stopped wide-eyed, then collapsed right on top of you. You tried to lift him off but he was too heavy. You couldn't breath.

"ahh…I…can't...Breathe…"

You blacked out.

You're eyes opened. You were in a cold sweat. You sat up in your bed, feeling your neck for the ruby, but it wasn't there. You saw Hiei sleeping in the corner. Struggling out of bed, you walked to the bathroom. You washed your face and looked in the mirror. Your shirt was soaked with blood. You lifted your shirt up, the cloth that was wrapped around your stomach was stained with blood.

You went back to the room. You closed the door from the bathroom behind you. You turned around and saw Hiei standing in front of you. You looked up at him, everything was blurry. Hiei had a worrid look on his face.

"…_____?" You heard him say.

"Hiei…" You said. You suddenenly fainted and collapsed into Hiei. He caught you and started shaking you.

Hiei's P O V

"___? ___??" Hiei started saying into your ear. "She fainted. She lost too much blood."

Hiei carried you bridal style into Kurama's room.

"Kurama, wake up." Hiei said quietly at first. "KITSUNE!"

Kurama woke up drowsily. "What is it Hiei?" Kurama's eye's widened at the sight of you. "What happened?"

"I don't know."

Kurama came back in his room with a first aid kit. He pulled out some cloth and medicine.

"Take off her shirt." Kurama said seriously.

Hiei stared at him, until Kurama returned his gaze. Kurama was really serious.

"Are you deaf? Take off her shirt!" Kurama yelled at Hiei.

"Okie!" Hiei yelled back.

He hesitated before he slipped your shirt off. It was stained with blood. Kurama unraveled the cloth in his hand.

"Hold her up for me." Kurama ordered.

Hiei, looking away, obeyed. Kurama unwrapped the old blood stained cloth from your stomach and threw it away. He dabbed some of the medicine on your stomach and then wrapped a clean cloth around it. Suddenely, he stopped. Hiei noticed this and yelled at Kurama.

"Kurama! You perverted kitsune!" Hiei yelled.

"Hiei, stop. Look at __'s chest." Kurama said.

Hiei looked and he stared too. There, in the middle of your chest a few inches above your bra, was a tattoo of some sort. It was a wolf. Hiei and Kurama glanced at eachother, then back at your `tattoo'.

"She's…a wolf demon?" Hiei said.

"…"

Suddenly, the door swung open and in bounced Botan.

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late, I had to- WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING?!" Botan yelled angrily.

Hiei and Kurama glanced at you then at both of each other. Hiei instantly dropped you on Kurama's bed. Both of their faces were bright shades of red.
