Loneliness- Chapter One

~Flashback in Botan's POV~

"Yusuke! Look out!" I yelled as Yusuke got hit with a powerful blast of energy. I ran to his aid, but he was already gone. Tears started to come to my eyes. "How… How will Keiko act… Once she finds out?" Yukina asked, tears coming to her eyes too. "My dear Yukina, please don't cry. I, Kazuma Kuwabara, will avenge Urimeshi's death!" Kuwabara exclaimed. "More like Kuwa-baka will try and not succeed…"Hiei muttered. "Don't even start." I said and gave Hiei a death-glare. He glared back and said, "Hn." Typical Hiei…

"How can we defeat her? One person is already out…" Koenma told us. "Good question… I guess we'll have to wing it." I said sadly and received weird looks from everyone. "Well, it's not like we can make a plan! She can read our minds!"

"Too true…" Koenma sighed. "Someone has to fight."

"I guess I'll go. I did promise Yukina…" Kuwabara stated with fear. "Be careful." Kurama warned. "Okay…" Kuwabara replied, ever-so-slowly stepping up to fight.

"Heh, heh. A pathetic ningen thinks it can stop me? I'd think not." The youkai called Youtaka said. "I'm not an average human. I have a Spirit Sword!" Kuwabara exclaimed. "So? I have many techniques, and I'm not bragging. Your point is?" sneered Youtaka.

"I've had enough of your insults!" Kuwabara yelled and lunged at her. She dodged easily, grabbed the back of his collar, and yanked hard. Kuwabara went flying, and crashed into a nearby stone pillar. He was knocked unconscious, which rendered him helpless.

"I'll finish this now." said Youtaka, and put him into death. I screamed at the death of two of my friends. "Oh no! Kuwabara. Yusuke! They're gone…" My eyes welled up with tears as I said this. I watched Yukina say, "No! Kazuma-kun! Please don't be… You can't be!" and clutch the once-living body of Kuwabara.

"Too much moaning. I'm starting to get a headache. I'll kill you all now." Youtaka threatened. She shot a bright beam of light toward all of us, and the last thing that I remember was seeing Kurama running to me, and Hiei protecting Yukina.

~End of Flashback~

~Still Botan's POV~

"Kurama-kun… I never looked back to that awful day, but… You tried to protect me?" I wondered softly aloud. "Yes, I did." I heard a reply and jumped. "K-Kurama-kun?" I stuttered. "Hai, it's me. You miss them, don't you?"

I just nodded and blushed slightly. "Oro? Why, may I ask, are you blushing, Botan-chan?" he asked. "I… Kurama-kun … I think I… I think I love you!" I blurted out, but not very loudly.

~ Kurama's POV~

These last few words sent chills up my spine. 'She really loves me?' I wondered. "You mean that, Botan-chan?" I asked curiously, and received a 'Hai…' from Botan.

I walked up to her, tilted her head so I could see her face better, and said, "Aishiteru, Botan-chan." Her eyes got a little bit wider as she looked at me, and then one of my dreams was fulfilled. She kissed me.

Her lips were just as I imagined them, as soft as rose petals. I kissed her back passionately, and deepened the kiss some. She broke away and looked deep into my eyes. I looked back into her lavender ones, and got lost. I was brought back to reality when she said, "Aishiteru, Kurama-koi…"

She then fell into a light sleep against me as my thoughts wandered off. I picked her up and brought her into the house, onto my bed, so she could have a restful slumber.

Okay! I'm done that. ^-^ Please review, but no flames. By the way, in the next chapter, there will be 2 OC's. Their names will be Ana and Steven. I'll probably throw in some Hiei/Ana romance next time, and a lemon for Kurama and Botan later. You all will have to say if you want an Ana/Hiei lemon sometime in this story. Don't say just yet though- unless you really want to- about the lemon; but just to get one thing straight, Ana will be a Fire demon, but she'll be half-human aswell. I think this is all I have to say, so ja mata!
