A/N- Hello! Ready? This will be confusing because it's not all as it seems! Answers in the next chapter!!!! Promise.

Disclaimer- Do I really need to bother with this? I mean, it's a site for fan fiction isn't it? So obviously I am a fan and this is my fictional work. Therefore I don't own the YYH characters or any of that good stuff because if I did I would write it and make it published for the whole world and not just the people that come here. Oh well, enough of my ranting. Just read please!

Warning- Nothing much this time. Some suggestive things that aren't really there. Did that make any sense? Probably not. Then I again, neither do I...

Chapter Eleven

Vacation and Shopper's Blues

* * *

Everything's so blurry and everyone's so fake

Everybody's empty and everything is so messed up

Preoccupied without you I can not live at all

My whole world surrounds you I stumble and I crawl

And you could be my someone you can be my scene

You know that I'll protect you from all of the obscene

I wonder what you're doing imagine where you are

There's oceans in between us but that's not very far

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?

Well you shoved it in my face-this pain you gave to me

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?

Well you shoved it in my face-this pain you gave to me

Hiei paced his room gazing at the gift on the table. He kept thinking over and over, she'll like it. She has to like it. Yes, she'll like it. But what if she doesn't? What if she hates it? No she won't hate it. She'll like it. She has to like it.

Hala hadn't even been gone a day and he was panicking so badly. He just couldn't wait to see her again.

Hala stumbled in her room and put her head in her hands. She had been feeling awful lately, since before she came here. It seemed to ease at first but now it was terrible. Her aunt was so concerned that she was being taken to the doctor the next day. If only Hiei was here, she thought. I would feel better. If only... if only... if only I could lie down. Hala fainted with a loud thud on her floor. Five minutes later her aunt walked in and screamed to see her niece crumpled there on the floor. When she couldn't wake Hala up she rushed her to the hospital.

Hiei was very moody with his friends over the next two days. He had a feeling Hala needed him but when he called he never got an answer. She's probably just out with her aunt or she thinks our talking will set her back further in her attempt to move on. When he voiced his concerns to Kurama, he had said the same basic thing. Told him not to worry and that Hala would be fine when she got back. Hiei was on the verge of snapping and now confined himself to his room, not wanting anyone to even mention Hala. When they did, he felt depressed, alone, angry, and sick all at the same time. He kept thinking that he shouldn't have let Hala go.

"Hala, please wake up honey."

Hala opened her eyes and gazed at her aunt. "Aunt Mary? Where are we?"

Mary smiled and kissed her niece's head. "Don't you worry dear. You had a faint spell and I brought you here, to the hospital."

Hala tried to sit up but found that painful so settled for lying down. "What's wrong with me?"

Her aunt shrugged. "They ran some tests and the doctor will tell you as soon as he knows anything."

Hala attempted to nod. "I'm thirsty. Could you please go get me some water or a soda?"

"Of course dear. You rest now and I'll be back in a few minutes."

Watching her aunt leave the room Hala focused her gaze around the room. Her eyes fell upon a paper that was dated two days later than she could recall. That meant she had been unconscious for almost two whole days! Maybe longer! Just then the Doctor walked in. "Ah, Hala. Glad to see you're finally awake. We have just determined what caused you to faint like that. Would you like your aunt to be here with you when I tell you?"

"No," said Hala quickly. "I don't want to worry here so do not tell her whatever it is. Please Doctor, what is wrong with me?

Everyone is changing there's no one left that's real

Make up your own ending, let me know just how you feel

Cause I am lost without you I can not live at all

My whole world surrounds you I stumble then I crawl

And you could be my someone, you can be my scene

You know that I will save you from all of the unclean

I wonder what you're doing I wonder where you are

There's oceans in between us but that's not very far

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?

Well you shoved it in my face this pain you gave to me

Hiei shuddered as though he knew that somewhere, someone was devastated.

Hala stared blankly at the hospital wall. "You're absolutely sure about this?"

The doctor nodded. "Yes. I am very sorry."

She breathed a heavy sigh. "Please, do not tell anyone. Promise me you won't."

"I can't if you don't want me to but I suggest you tell someone, after all they will know soon enough."

Hala nodded. "I know they will and don't worry, I will tell someone, and it's just that, this someone isn't here."

The doctor nodded with understanding. "You can go home in the morning and as for the pain, take these." He handed her a bottle of non-aspirin pain reliever.

"Thank you Doctor." The doctor nodded and left the room. Two minutes later her aunt walked in.

"What did he say?"

Hala smiled. "He said I can leave in the morning and gave me some medication for the pain. Other than that, I am fine."

Her aunt smiled and handed her a coke. "Well that's good, at least now we don't have to worry your parents.

Hala nodded. She hated lying but right now it was the best thing for her family. "Yes, no worries at all."

Hiei's stomach did a weird flip flop as he saw Hala's plane land and he moved immediately to the front of the line of people waiting for friends and loved ones to come off the plane. When she saw him she threw her arms around him and pulled him in for a passionate kiss. He picked up her bag and they walked to the waiting cab.

"Where do you want to go? Home or my place?"

She thought about it. "Home first, my aunt wanted me to call her and then she wants to talk to my mom."

"Hala, did anything go wrong on your vacation? Because I think something did, I sort of, felt it."

She smiled a wide smile. "I was ill for a little while but I'm fine. I'll tell you more about it tonight."

Satisfied Hiei put his arm around her and hugged her to him tightly, just glad she was back.

They got to her place she said her hellos and her parents wanted to have a family dinner. Hiei went to his place and waited for her call. His phone rang at eleven that night and he rushed back to her house, with his gift. Knowing fully well now that she would love it.

Nobody told me what you thought, nobody told me what to say

Everyone showed you where to turn, showed you when to run away

Nobody showed you where to hide, nobody told you what to say

Everyone showed you where to turn, showed you when to run away

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?

Well you shoved it in my face this pain you gave to me

Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away?

Can you take away the pain, the pain you gave to me?

This pain you gave to me

Lemony goodness coming up and we found out what is up with Hala. However we don't know what Hiei's gift is until the chapter after. Sorry. Love to all my readers. Hope you like it so far!
