Settling

Shots rang as the sun was barely rising up. Hiei immediately shot out of his bed grab his rifle next to his bed and ran outside.

The rest follow outside.

Hiei saw the leader outside with many men behind.

"The Hatsumo" Mutter Yusuke as he loaded his rifle.

They were all in their underwear.

"I don't want to those people here" the leader said. "I seen them talking to the Lones. I don't trust them why you call them."

Yusuke was about respond when Hiei cut in.

"We didn't call anyone they are with the Red Cross they are here to treat the sick. I have no idea what they must of said to the Lones." Hiei said.

"I'm warning you they do something I won't hesitate to shoot."

Hiei exhaled. "Don't! You don't want the army coming in here trust me and you don't want me on your ass. Let them do their job they are useful to all. They are doctors they are here to heal not to interfered." Hiei said.

The leader nodded and left.

"Damn I hate morning like this." Hiei said as he stepped back in.

"Well at least we know it won't be boring. Yusuke keep staring and I won't hesitate to shoot a bullet up your ass." Said Shizuru.

Yusuke just chuckled.

Kurama was the first to wake up. He silently walked out and immediately started to clean up the place it was cover in dust, broken glass, shelves broken. Yukina was next to wake up.

She stepped out of the dark room. She winced when her eyes met the sunlight. She immediately groaned and shut them. Soon her eyes got adjusted to the sunlight.

Kurama was sweeping the main entranced room.

"Morning" she greeted.

"Morning, Keiko still asleep." Kurama said.

"Yeah, is there another broom?" Yukina asked.

"Yeah check in the back room."

Kurama kept on sweeping the pile of dirt and broken glass outside.

He slowly saw a woman and a child approaching.

"Yukina" he called

"Yeah," she came running.

"Looks like a pedes job."

Yukina slowly approached the woman.

"Ma'am is something wrong?" Yukina asked.

The woman nodded and started to tell Yukina the symptoms.

"Kurama when are the supplies going to arrive."

"Today, but I don't what time." Kurama responded.

"Ma'am wait out here I'll get something for you to sit on."

The woman nodded.

Soon more people arrived.

Then a few kids maybe around fifteen arrive.

"We want work." They asked Kurama.

Kurama sure needed the help.

"I'll pay you with food." Said Kurama

The kids nodded.

"Ok, you help me sweep this place up and take any broken pieces of wood to the back."

They immediately started to work.

Kurama look at his watched it was ten already.

"Should we wake her?" Said Yukina.

"Yeah, we have to clean that room. That will be where we are going to sleep."

Yukina nodded and went to wake Keiko.

Hiei loaded the guns. "Ok, Shizuru, Kuawbara. Go get the supplies and come back no contact with Red Cross. We shouldn't get involved with them. We helped them either gang will come after us fro sending suppose spies." Hiei ordered as he handed them their .45 and their rifles.

"All right I will be hidden on the path incase you get attacked. Yusuke you better take care of the base." Hiei ordered.

"All right" they all said as the move out.

Kurama walked toward the helicopter landing waiting for it to land. A blue hair woman landed and turnoff the chopper.

"You Suichi?" She asked.

"Yeah, call me Kurama." Kurama said as he signed some paper work. Soon Yukina and Keiko reached up to him.

" I'm Botan delivery. You guys sure got guts to be here." She said as she unloaded the cargo.

"Thanks" said Kurama.

Yukina was going to pull out a box when Botan stop her.

"Oh no that's not yours these are your things those are for the base."

"Oh" Yukina said as he got their things.

"How you going take all this stuff." Botan asked.

"We got help" said Keiko.

"Be careful I hear the soldiers here are very hostile." Botan warned.

"Yeah we already got out welcome greeting last night." Kurama said.

Soon they saw two figures approached them.

"So you're the brave Samaritans." Said Shizuru as she winked at Kurama.

"Shizuru" Kuwabara scolded.

"Yeah, I'm Yukina this is Kurama and that's Keiko." Yukina greeted them.

Kuwabara stop glaring at his sister as he immediate ran towards Yukina.

"Hi, I'm Kazuma Kuwabara and this is my sister Shizuru. Why is such a lovely thing doing here?" Kuwabara said.

"Kazuma" Shizuru said as she pulled on his ear.

"Well you guys better be careful. Don't mess with either gang that's here. The one's wearing blue are the Lones and the Black are The Hatsumo. Remember that and when they go into all shoot out frenzy hide and if your in trouble our base is two mile from where your located so you better run fast." Shizuru advised.

"Thank you well takes the advised well noted." Kurama said.

"Che Botan you brought us a lot of supplies." Kuwabara said.

"You complaining." Asked Botan shocked.

"No it that we need help to carry this back." Kuwabara said as he motions Shizuru to come and see.

"Holy you're right." Shizuru said.

"Sucks you can't drive that nice jeep you guys have around here." Botan said.

"Call Hiei to help us he can carry a larger load the faster we do this the faster we leave." Shizuru said.

Kuwabara did so.

As Kurama loaded his thing into a cart he heard someone from the forest came running.

Another person with the same uniform as Kuwabara and Shizuru had. Black hair white starburst in the middle.

Botan shriek and saluted Hiei Immediately.

"Sir" Botan said.

"Enough foolishness Botan." Hiei said.

Botan chuckle. "Yeah well you still scare the shit out of me."

"So where are the things? Hiei said ignoring the three strangers.

"Hiei were are your manners" Botan said. "Aren't you going to say hi to the brave Samaritans?"

Hiei sighed as he look to see two women one with brown hair and brown. The other with red eyes and blue hair. Then the man with red hair and green eyes. Hiei couldn't help but stare. He was so beautiful.

"Hi" Hiei said weakly his whole bravado defense had crumble.

He couldn't stop the man was so intriguing. Kurama stare back. "Hi" he responded back.

"Well enough of this" Shizuru said breaking the silence.

Hiei started loading his backpack and pick up two boxes stack up on each other. Kuwabara did the same and Shizuru got he left over.

"Well see you around." Shizuru said as she led the way back.

"Bye" said all three. Kurama loaded his thing into the carts and all three pulled the cart back.

"Good luck guys." Said Botan said she check the tail of the copper and started it up.

"Bye" they all said.

Hiei walked back pondering why he acted like he did when he saw the three strangers. Especially around the redhead guy.

"He is cute ne Hiei?" Shizuru said as she slowed down for Hiei and let Kuwabara lead the way.

Hiei blushed a bit. "How you?"

"Oh please Hiei it's obvious. Yusuke has even made a move on me we been here for two years I doubt you never got horny one of those nights." Shizuru said as she winked at him.

"Hn" said Hiei as he quickened his pace and caught up to Kuwabara.

"Oi, shorty that isn't that too heavy for you." Kuwabara said.

"Then again I can tolerated your sister more." Hiei said as he slowed down his pace and was next to Shizuru.

"If you were straight I may hit on you" Shizuru said as she then changed the conversation.

Kurama look at the setting sun. They had fixed almost the entire clinic. They had gotten the rooms clean up and their supplies put away. They had seen a couple of patients that dare to show up today. Time is what they needed to get close now they were all afraid. Kurama wiped his fore head and headed inside.

Keiko and Yukina had managed to clean up the Kitchen and fix the stove with the help of some curious people. Kurama went to the back and broke a few piece of wood in to smaller one. 'Shelves is what they used to be now they are our source of energy' thought Kurama.

He walked inside setting the pieces next to the door.

"Wow we accomplished a lot today." Said Yukina as she sipped some water from her canteen.

"Yeah, but we still have a lot more to go," Keiko said.

"Tomorrow we should give out vaccination many of these kids have a disease that can be simply cured by a shot." Yukina said.

Kurama nodded agreeing so many things here could be easily fix. Manu of things that these people needed were antibiotic, rest, and better sanitary needs.

"Its going to be six long months we better try to as much as we can" said Kurama.

"Yeah," agreed Yukina

Kuwabara finish putting away the supplies and food that they had brought.

"All right food" screamed Yusuke as he rushed inside the kitchen to find Kuwabara day dreaming.

"Oi, duffus snap out of it." Yusuke said as he smacked Kuwabara on the back. Kuwabara didn't respond.

Yusuke walked out to the living room to where Hiei and Shizuru were.

"Um what's wrong with Kuwabara?" Asked Yusuke.

"Oh, he met a girl today the Red Cross people." Answer Shizuru.

"Oh" Yusuke said.

Then Kuwabara came out. "Hiei don't you think they might be in danger at night." Kuwabara said.

"It's their choice we are not responsible for them." Hiei responded.

"Oh come on we should let them stay here at night and at day they could leave to their little clinic come on Hiei I know your not that cold hearted." Kuwabara pleaded.

"No, we are not going out there for them and that's an order for all of you, and if you go out or disobey my order I'm going to peat you up to a pulp." Hiei threaten.

Kuwabara cursed under his breath and left.

Kuwabara looked at the dark sky. He slowly made his way out of his bed trying not to wake Yusuke up.

He was about to leave the room when Yusuke's voice stop him.

"Where you going?" He whispered.

"I'm going to go check on them." Kuwabara answer but in reality he wanted to check on her.

" Hiei finds out he will kill you." Yusuke warned.

"Oh come on Yusuke, why don't you come too, there's another girl."

Hearing of another girl besides Shizuru and Kuwabara's crush he quickly got up dress and loaded his riffle.

"We are so dead," said Yusuke as they both left the base.
