Hey! I'm back with the fifth chapter for Love Through the Oddities! Well.... This is the chappie where the title starts to make sense (I hope). Anyways, most of my muses are gone for a little while and I have peace and quiet with my quieter bishies!
Ami: ^_^
Silly Ami-chan. Anyways, the only bishies who'll comment today are the Boshi Twins, Chichiri, Tasuki, and Inu. Yes, all of them 'cept Inu are from the same show.
Inu: Why do *I* have to be all alone?
You're not alone, you dopey doggie. You have us!
Inu: That's a good thing?
::pouts and sniffles::
Inu: ::sighs:: I'm sorry.
Okies! The chappie starts now! Have fun and review if you likies! I've gotten some reviews from people who review pretty much all my stories so THANKIES to my loyal reviewers. So far, this consists of Anubis_Himura and Neerp. ON WITH THE FIC!

A few weeks later, Shiori comes home to find Kurama and Hiei curled up together on the couch, sleeping. She smiles and gets a blanket to cover them with. Kurama had introduced Hiei to her and asked if she would mind him moving in with them. Her reply had been yes and the next two weeks were deffinetely interesting seeing as Kurama hasn't told her that Hiei is his boyfriend, but what mother doesn't know their child? She walks upstairs to her bedroom and thinks I'll let him tell me when he's ready. Slipping into bed, she drifts off.
The next morning, Kurama opens his eyes and wakes Hiei up, "I have school today, koi. I need to get ready."
With a small grumble, he sits up and walks into the kitchen to help make breakfast. When he gets there, Shiori is already in the process of making pancakes.
"Good morning, Hiei," she greets with a smile. "I was going to wake you both up in a minute. You fell asleep on the couch again."
A light blush stains his cheeks as he replies, "Gomen nasi, Shiori-san. Is there anything I can do to help with breakfast?"
"Not really, it's almost done. Where's Shuichi? He's up now, right?"
"Hai, he's probably taking a shower. I've noticed he has an obsessive morning ritual on weekdays (AN: I can just imagine Hiei talking with Shiori and being polite. ESPECIALLY if he's with Kurama)," he answers with a small smile. Surly enough, about ten minutes later, he comes through the kitchen door with slightly damp hair and a brush in hand.
"Good morning Mother, Hiei," he says with a smile to them both.
The three of them sit down and Kurama grins to himself as he watches Hiei drown his pancakes in syrup like he does every time. Not long after, they leave and Hiei waits up in a tree unnoticed for him to get out of school.
Same thing happens every day until Thursday. Kurama wakes up and feels slightly ill, but ignores it because he never gets sick, an upside to have the fox demon immunities. After breakfast, however, finds him bending over the toilet and emptying his recently filled stomache. Shiori sets up a place for him to rest on the couch and Hiei offers to stay and take care of him while she's at work.
"It shouldn't be anything I can't handle," he says to her before she leaves. Kurama is back in the bathroom and doesn't hear the conversation.
"It's odd, though. Shuichi's never been this sick before.... Maybe I should bring him to the doctor's."
"No, it's fine. Probably nothing to worry about."
"Alright, if you're sure then I'll see you both when I get home. Make sure he gets plenty of rest and that he at least eats something during the day."
With that, she leaves, worried about her normally fully-healthy son. Hiei goes into the bathroom and rubs soothing circles on his back while holding his hair back.
Trying to mask his worry a little he asks gentally, "Are you going to be alright, Fox?"
He nods and lifts his head to give a weak smile, "I'll be fine. All those years of avoiding illness is finally catching up with me, ne?"
"Baka, something's obviously wrong. I'm going to get the Toddler and see if he has anything to say on the subject."
"That won't be necessary, I'll be...." the end of his sentence was cut short by another bout of vomiting.
"Hn. I'll be right back," Hiei says before leaving briefly.
"What seems to be the problem, Hiei?" Koenma asks as the koorime aproaches his desk.
"Something's wrong with Kurama. He and his mother claim he has never been sick, yet at this moment he's bent over in his bathroom doing exaclty as he's supposedly never done. I think it's something more than a simple illness. He hasn't been able to leave that room for more than five minutes!"
Koenma considers this for a minute before replying, "Bring him here. We'll run some tests to see if we can't figure out what's wrong with him."
All he gets is a nod before Hiei's gone and goes back to Kurama's house to get him. As he walks through the door, he notices that he's left the bathroom and is sleeping peacefully on the couch. Lifting him carefully so as not to wake him, Hiei hurries back to Spirit World. He's met there by Koenma who has Kurama set in a room in the hospital ward.
"We'll know in a few minutes what's wrong with him, just be patient," Koenma says to the now pacing Hiei. "One might think you actually care with how you're going on," he adds mockingly.
Hiei growls before lifting the tiny toddler up by his shirt, "You'd better hope he's fine or you'll be the one paying the price."
Before he can say anything else, a nurse walks in with a chart and a confused expression, "We can't find anything wrong with him. We've tested for almost everything! All we can hope for is.... Wait a moment, there's one more test we can try. This shouldn't take long."
With that, she walks back into the room leaving Hiei to continue pacing and Koenma giving him nervous glances. A minute or so after, the doors to the hospital open to reviel the rest of the gang and the girls.
"What's up with Kurama?" Yusuke asks.
"What are you bakas doing here!" Hiei demands.
"Yukina-chan had a bad feeling and it lead us here," Kuwabara says in his annoying voice. "She said she felt like something was wrong with your thoughts (AN: I'm gonna have it so that it's Kurama's and the others' last year of school and that Hiei's already told Yukina about being her brother. Makes things easier ^_^ )."
"Hn."
The conversation was interrupted by the nurse returning with wide eyes instead of confusion, "We've figured out what's wrong with him..."
"Well, out with it!" Hiei says impatiently.
She clears her throat neverously before saying, "He's..... He's pregnant."

(At Koenma's Palace Thing)
The tiny ruler looks up as the door to his office bursts open to reveal a worried-looking fire demon."What seems to be the problem, Hiei?" Koenma asks as the koorime aproaches his desk.
