The Red Rose of Love

Chapter 10

After fighting and somewhat making peace with Shun Yuki, Rai recovered after a few hours of rest. The three boys and one girl left the hospital and headed back to Rai’s estate.

[Afternoon]

"Rai-chan you’re better!" Kikyo replied as she hugged Rai tightly. Her light purple hair was in a high ponytail and her light green eyes seemed happy. She wore black dress up to her knees and black boots. The sleeves were a little puffy and she wore a gold bracelet on both of her wrists.

"I know Kikyo." Rai smiled.

Kai and Ariel stood behind them, they seemed happy but didn’t show it.

"Hey, Rai, where’s the red head and loud mouth?" Ariel asked rudely, she meant Kurama and Yusuke.

"They went to get Botan, Hiei and Kuwabara. Actually, I wanted to introduce you three to a new teammate." Rai said as Kikyo let go of her.

Then Shun walked in and Kai narrowed his eyes at him.

"Everyone, this is Yuki, Shun. He’s an Arjuna Psychic and Hypnotist and last of his kind. He goes to Matsudai Toushi Academy." Rai smiled.

"Kuro Yuki…" Kai growled, he stormed over to Shun and grabbed him by the collar.

"You sick bastard of the Yuki Clan, you’re the ones responsible for half of my ancestors’ death! Your ancestor Arjuna Kuro Yuki killed my ancestor, Akuma Ryuu!" Kai shouted.

(Note: Think hard people, think hard! Remember I mentioned this in chapter 6: Akuma Masters of HELL! If you just read this chapter then goes read that one! Anyway back to story!)

"So you’re Descendant of Akuma Ryuu then? Hm, I then suppose you’re Kai Ryuu," Shun then looked at Kai’s sword, "I believe you’re not the descendant of the great Akuma Ryuu after all. Your new name would be Kai, The Demon Slayer? You have killed 123,232,456 demons for many decades now. I’m the one who should kill you."

Ariel then stopped breathing, Kikyo gasped and Rai’s eyes widened.

"Then that means you," He looked towards Kikyo, "You are Guardian Kikyo of Sorrow. You resurrect the souls of the sorrowful and tainted people. You young girl are Kamiya, Ariel or shall I say Katana Kamiya, the Leader of Kamiya Clan."

"What the fuck are you talking about!? I’m Ariel Kamiya and my family was NOT apart of ANY clan!" Ariel shot back.

"Yes it was. Your ancestor was Katana Kamiya and only Katana Kamiya can controlled the ancient Samurai sword called "The Sword with Two Souls". You are the reincarnation of Katana Kamiya." Shun said harshly.

‘Then that is why Lady Arella gave me this sword.’ Ariel thought.

"Kai, why didn’t you say you were a Demon Slayer? Everyone in the Spirit World and Demon World thinks you’re a slayer for Master Valgava. You’re half demon and you KILL DEMONS, the same race as you! Why didn’t you tell us that!?" Rai cried, tears fell down her face.

Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama and Botan had just walked in and Shun hushed them. They wanted ask what was going on but Shun glared at them to keep them quiet.

"WHY KAI?! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US FROM THE BEGINNING! WHY KAI! ALL THAT TIME EVERYONE THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST A SLAYER!" Rai screamed.

"…"

"ANSWER ME KAI WHEN I AM TALKING TO YOU!"

"Argh, shut up you fucking bitch!" Kai shouted angrily as he slapped Rai across the face hard, making it even bleed.

Rai then fell on her knees crying and bleeding, "W-Why Kai?"

Everyone gasped from what Kai did to Rai but on the other hand…

Yusuke clenched his fists tightly, Kurama glared at him angrily and Hiei growled and took out his katana.

"KAI YOU SICK BASTARD!" Kikyo screamed as her staff appeared in her hand.

"YOU ARROGANT BASTARD! DIE IN FUCKING HELL!" Ariel screamed as she gave the middle finger at him.

Rai then got up and walked slowly to Kai and she then smacked him.

"YOU JERK! I SHOULD HAVE ARRESTED YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE! YOU LIED TO US AND I HATE YOU FOR IT!" With that Rai ran out the door and ran down the streets.

"YOU DESERVE THIS AS WELL! HIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYAAAAAA!" Kikyo screamed as she slammed her staff on Kai’s head.

"YOU FUCKING BITCH WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR!?"

"FOR SMACKING RAI AND MAKING HER CRY! DIE YOU BASTARD, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE AND DIE AGAIN AND AGAIN!" Kikyo chanted as she kept on hitting Kai with her staff on his head.

"Woah, I didn’t know that Kikyo could be that violent!" Kuwabara exclaimed as he watched Kikyo.

"Uh, Kuwabara, I think you should focus on those three right now!" Botan exclaimed as she pointed to an angry Hiei, Kurama and Yusuke.

"YOU DIE YOU BASTARD!" Yusuke shouted but Kuwabara grabbed him from behind.

"URAMESHI CONTROL YOURSELF!"

"CONTROL MYSELF?! MY COUSIN WAS JUST SLAPPED AND RAN OUTTA OF THE HOUSE! HOW CAN I CONTROL MY ANGER FROM THAT!?" Yusuke shot back.

"Kurama please calm down, PLEASE!" Botan begged; she had grabbed unto his legs.

"Let go of me Botan! This is none of your business so let go of my legs and let me kill Kai for what he has done to Rai!" Kurama snapped.

"I suggest you go of me, you bastard." Hiei murmured angrily. Shun had grabbed Hiei from behind.

"No, calm down. He’s one of your comrades and Kikyo-"

"If you call that bastard who smacked Rai my comrade then I call you a fool." Hiei smirked.

Shun then held his sword to Hiei’s neck, "Calm down or I’ll slice your neck."

Hiei muttered a "sorry" of some kind and Shun let go, "I’ll go find Lady Rain and you watch Guardian Kikyo injure Akuma Kai."

"No, I’ll find her AND YOU watch Kikyo beat the shit out of Kai." With that Hiei disappeared.

"Fine by me. I always enjoy seeing a Demon Slayer being injured by a Guardian Guide." Shun replied as he watched Kikyo keep hitting Kai on the head with her staff.

[Park]

‘That jerk, he’s been lying to us this entire time!’ Rai thought as she ran faster.

‘I chose not to arrest him and I trusted him! I gave Kai the trust of being a kind hearted and trustworthy person and he betrayed it by lying!’

Rai then stopped to catch her breath and leaned against a cherry blossom tree.

"I shouldn’t go back now, even though Yusuke will probably beat the crap out of Kai, I just don’t want to see his face ever again." Rai cried as she fell unto her knees.

"Rai, what are you doing here?" A cold male voice asked. Rai immediately stopped crying and turned around. It was Hiei.

"Hiei, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with the others?" Rai asked.

"Why would I be with that bastard who smacked you, Rai?" Hiei asked rudely.

Rai just turned her head, "I suggest you head back now. The others will be worried. I’ll be fine, I just need time to my…"

"No, I will not leave you here by yourself Rai!"

"Why is that!"

"It’s nothing you need to know."

"Just tell me already!"

"It’s nothing important…"

"Well if it’s not important then just tell me or I’ll just run off!"

"I won’t let you do that! You’re coming back me and that’s final, regardless of what the reason is!"

"You know, you’re starting to act like Kai himself. He’ll demand me to do something and he won’t tell me why!"

"You’re comparing me to that bastard?"

"Yes am I, since you won’t tell me why you want me to come back home!"

"Its not important now let’s go back…"

"No, I won’t go back! If you’ll just tell me why and then maybe I’ll reconsider."

"I won’t tell you since it’s not important!"

"Just tell me already!"

"…"

"Come on, just tell me!"

"It’s…"

"It’s what!?"

"It’s because…"

"Just say already!"

"It’s because I don’t want you to hurt yourself!" Hiei shouted.

Rai gasped softly, "Y-You really mean it?"

"Yes I do now let’s get going. I want to see how things ended up back home." Hiei replied coldly as he walked off.

Rai stood there and then started to catch up to him.

‘Hiei cares about me. Someone else asides from Narutaki and Yusuke cares about me. Hiei maybe cold hearted and rude on the outside but inside, he’s caring and kind. I just know it.’ Rai thought.

[Nighttime-Attic]

Rai didn’t speak to Kai for the rest of day and had headed upstairs to the attic and looked at old photo albums of her mother.

"Kaa-san, oh much I miss you." Rai whispered as she looked at a picture.

[Alternate Dimension]

"Tomorrow, I want Ryuu, Oni, Reon and Hime to attack these Spirit Detectives. The Urameshi Team to be exact." Kumar replied hastily.

"I want the Angel of Mystical and her stone so I can control the World!" Kumar laughed evilly.
