Chapter 12

[Road-Car]

"Sage is everyone ready for the party?" Rai asked kindly.

"Yes Rain, everyone is just waiting for you and your friend. By the way, what’s your friend’s name?"

"He’s not my friend, he’s my cousin. His name is Yusuke Urameshi and I told him to come to Kyoto for the party. But are you sure it’s alright to have my friends and his friends stay over for the week?" Rai asked, feeling guilty.

"Of course Rain, it’s perfectly fine. Besides, I want to meet your friends and his friends." Sage replied.

Rai looked at the beautiful landscape, "Alright, if you say so."

[Other Car]

"That pervert is GONNA die for even LOOKING at Rai!" Yusuke growled as he made a fist.

"By the way, what are your names?" Kurama asked, hoping it would change the subject.

"My name is Ren Hiroshi and this my friend Kazuya Yamazaki. We grew up together in Kyoto." Ren replied.

"Also the guy who called a ‘pervert’ is Sage Date. He lives in this Dojo with his wife Sayuka Date. I heard that Sayuka was the descendant of the Ryukyu Dynasty." Kazuya exclaimed.

"Anyhow, why do you think Sage Date is a pervert? He just kissed…"

"Hey look here missy, that’s MY cousin he kissed so just back off!" Yusuke growled.

"Fine what ever you say. By the way, what are your names?" Ren asked.

"I’m Yusuke Urameshi. He’s Kazuma Kuwabara, the short one is Hiei Jaganshi and he’s Shuuichi Minamino but we call him Kurama." Yusuke grinned.

"Hmmm…" Ren hummed.

‘They’re the Spirit Detectives for Lord Koenma and those three girls and two boys must have been Spirit Detectives for Lady Arella.’ Ren thought.

‘Should we introduce our selves to them?’ Kazuya thought.

‘…’

"I’ve heard about you guys! You’re like the top of the town in the Reikai!" Ren exclaimed with a smile.

The four boys’ eyes widened, "HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT!?"

Ren smiled and winked, "Ren Hiroshi is only my cover name. My real name is Mayumi No Miko or simple Priestess of the Reikai! Nice to meetcha!" Mayumi winked.

"Kazuya Yamazaki is also my code name; my real name is Takuya No Oji of the Reikai but please call me Takuya." Takuya reassured the four freaked out boys.

"Your highnesses!" Kikyo begged. She, Botan and Ariel had flown over the car. Ariel shared the paddle with Botan since Ariel didn’t trust the bubble brain Kikyo.

Mayumi looked up and smiled, "Konnichiwa Kikyo-chan! How are you these days? Find any attractive lonely men souls?"

Kikyo blushed, "No, I haven’t but still I’m looking!"

Mayumi just smiled.

"So you’re royalty too, like Koenma?" Yusuke asked, still surprised that these people were royalty.

"Yeah, our mother is Lady Arella of the Reikai!" Mayumi grinned.

Then Kai and Shun appeared they were running so quickly that they were near the car.

"Hmph, I didn’t know Arella had kids." Kai grunted.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Takuya No Oji, Mayumi No Miko." Shun replied politely.

"But your highnesses, why are you in Nigenkai?! You’re suppose to be in the Reikai and be safe from all evil!" Kikyo exclaimed.

Takuya and Mayumi sighed sadly, "Our home was under attack by Master Kumar and his minions."

Everyone gasped in horror, especially Kikyo, "Where’s Lady Arella then!?"

Tears rolled down Mayumi’s face, "She was kidnapped by Akuma Kamen last night. We escaped and headed to Kyoto where we would meet the Mystic Rose Team but she didn’t make it."

Kikyo then had tears fall down her face, "Lady Arella…"

Takuya then stopped the car, and Yusuke sprang from his seat, "Why did we stop!?"

"We’re here." Takuya replied simply. The four boys got out of the car, their eyes widened.

There was a huge Dojo with many beautiful gardens; they looked like imperial gardens.

"This isn’t the main Dojo of the Date family. The main one is in Sendai but the Sage and his wife live her for the time being." Takuya said as he helped his sister out of the car.

Botan and Kikyo jumped off their paddles and Botan helped Ariel get off.

Shun and Kai just stood there, a smile on Shun’s lips and a frown on Kai’s lips.

Then a nine-year old boy came out. He wore black T-shirt and blue jeans and black sneakers. His light brown hair was slick and somewhat gelled. He wore a black jacket that ended at he knees that was also opened. He looked more like a 14-year-old but he was the same height as Hiei.

It was Narutaki Urameshi.

Yusuke noticed it and started to wave his hands in the air frantically, "NARUTAKI! NARUTAKI! NARUTAKI!" Yusuke chanted.

Everyone (except Shun, Kai and Hiei) blushed in embarrassment from Yusuke’s actions.

Narutaki slowly turned around and his dark umber eyes looked very happy.

"Yusuke." He whispered as he ran over to his older cousin.

Narutaki gave him a big and hug and Yusuke returned the hug.

"It’s good to see you again, Yusuke." Narutaki replied softly.

Yusuke smiled kindly, "Yeah me too."

Yusuke then let go of Narutaki and looked amazed, "Wow, you sure had changed over the last month."

"Yeah I guess I have. By the way, what brings you to Kyoto? I mean, sure it’s my ninth birthday but-"

"Woah, woah, slow down! It’s your birthday TODAY!?" Yusuke said in amazement.

Narutaki raised his eyebrow, "Yeah and Rai was coming to Kyoto for the week to celebrate. You’re were suppose to come too and so were her friends and yours."

Yusuke and everyone (except Takuya and Mayumi) blushed in embarrassment.

"And another thing, why all of you in your pajamas?" Narutaki said chuckling.

Yusuke and everyone else (except Mayumi, Takuya, Hiei, and Kai) blushed like hell.

"Um, that's a VERY VERY long story, Narutaki..." Yusuke said while sweat dropping.

"Narutaki-kun, who are those strange people you’re talking to?" A familiar female voice said.

It was Sayuka Date. She wore a pink, red and blue Hatsumode Kimono and her blonde layered hair was in two Chinese buns with pink ribbons holding them up.

Yusuke immediately noticed this woman. Yusuke had met her when he and Rai were 5 years old. Sayuka walked over to the group of teenagers and put her hands to her hips.

"Who are you people and what do you want with my nephew Narutaki?" Sayuka asked politely, trying not to yell at them.

"Hey Sayuka what’s up?" Yusuke asked cheerfully. Botan then slammed her paddle on Yusuke’s head.

"YUSUKE!"

"Hey Botan don’t be such a bitch-"

"OW! STOP HITTING ME WITH THAT PADDLE OF YOURS!"

Sayuka raised her eyebrow but then realized who this boy was, "Yusuke Urameshi?"

Botan immediately stopped hitting her paddle on Yusuke’s head and Yusuke smiled hugely.

"It’s been a long time since I’ve last seen you." Sayuka smiled kindly.

Then Sage’s car pulled up and Rai got out of the car. Rai then noticed her team, Yusuke, his friends and Takuya and Mayumi and most importantly Narutaki.

A warm hearted smile appeared on Rai’s lips, "Naurtaki!"

Narutaki then started to run to his sister until he was in her warm embrace.

"Rai-chan, I’m so happy you’re here! I missed you!" Naurtaki cried, tears fell down his face.

Tears formed in Rai’s eyes too, "Me too, Naru. I missed you so much but because of something important, I sent you here to be safe and live a normal life."

The two stayed like that; everyone smiled, even Hiei did, seeing a brother and sister reunited was the best thing to see.

Sage then walked up to his wife and hugged her, "Hey Sayuka. I see you’re wearing the kimono I bought you."

"Yes, I wanted to wear it on Narutaki’s birthday celebration." Sayuka replied.

The brother and sister let go of each other and walked hand in hand to the group.

"Everyone let’s go inside and introduce ourselves." Sayuka suggested. Everyone nodded and walked inside to the dojo.

[Inside-Living Room]

Sayuka, Sage, Narutaki, Rai and Yusuke sat on the couch while Kuwabara and Kurama sat on the ground. Hiei, Kai and Shun leaned against the wall while Botan, Kikyo and Ariel sat on the other couch. Takuya and Mayumi sat on pillows on the ground.

"So you’re friends of Rain and Yusuke I presume?" Sayuka asked.

"I’m Botan and I’m a friend of Yusuke’s!" Botan chirped.

"I’m Kikyo, a friend of Rai’s and Botan’s!" Kikyo beamed.

"I’m Kamiya, Ariel and I’ve known Rai since I was 6 years old." Ariel replied.

"I’m Kai, I’m just an acquaintance to Ms. Rai and her friends." Kai said coldly.

"Baka…" Kikyo muttered under her breath.

"I’m Shun Yuki, another friend of Lady Rain’s." Shun said as he bowed.

"I’m Yusuke, Rai’s and Naru’s cousin here but everyone knows THAT." Yusuke said as he grinned sheepishly.

"I’m Kazuma Kuwabara, a friend of Urameshi’s." Kuwabara exclaimed.

"I’m Shuuichi Minamino but my friends call me Kurama. I’m friends with Yusuke and your niece, Rai." Kurama said gently.

"Hiei Jaganshi." Hiei said coldly, yet not facing them.

"I’m Kazuya Yamazaki and this is my friend Ren Hiroshi." Takuya replied kindly.

"It’s very nice to meet you." Ren said politely.

"Anyhow," Sayuka turned to face her niece, "Rain, dear, I made the guest rooms available."

"I hope you can understand that today is Narutaki’s birthday and it was to be a family occasion and-"

"Oh please Mrs. Date, Ren and I will take them somewhere in Kyoto the entire day. When would like them back?" Takuya asked.

Sayuka blinked but then smiled, "I would also like for everyone to eat out for tonight. I would like everyone back at 8:00 or 9:00 so everyone will be rested for tomorrow."

Takuya smiled, "Certainly Mrs. Date."

"Also, when you all return, we shall give you some clothes to wear." Sayuka smiled.

Yusuke and the other blushed furiously, 'Why couldn't she give us some clothes now?'

[Road-Takuya’s Car]

Urameshi is gonna stay with Rai and Naru?" Kuwabara asked in disbelief.

"You baka, he’s apart of that family so why wouldn’t he?" Hiei replied coldly.

"One more insult and you die you shrimp!" Kuwabara said as he made a fist.

"Please calm down you two." Kurama sweat dropped.

Yusuke stayed with Rai to celebrate Naru’s birthday and everyone was getting impatience, since they had no idea where they were going.

Mayumi was flying on Kikyo’s oar and Botan shared yet again with Ariel.

Kai sat up in front with Takuya while Shun sat in the back with Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama.

"Anyhow, Takuya, how do you know your mother was kidnapped?" Shun asked, hoping it would not upset Takuya.

Takuya sighed, "We found out by hearing our mother’s cries. We are telepathic so we can hear each other’s thoughts and we heard our mother’s cries."

Kai looked at him, "I sorta know how you feel."

Takuya raised his eyebrow, "You, Kai Ryuu, know how to feel my pain?"

Kai sighed coldly, "I maybe a descendant of Akuma Ryuu, I maybe a Demon

"So Slayer and I maybe half human and half demon but I know how you feel."

"Enlighten me Kai, tell me how we relate?"

"My ancestor, Akuma Ryuu was a full demon and servant under Satan but he fell in love with a human. Her name was Miyuki Tomoe and she was a beautiful woman. The two fell madly in love with each other and they were married. They had another ancestor of mine by the name Makoto and so on but…"

"But what, Kai?"

"But, Ryuu was executed by Satan by himself and Miyuki was heart broken. Yet the blood of a dragon demon and human went through the Ryuu Clan and then it stopped. Since, every ancestor married a demon so the human blood disappeared. Yet…"

"Yet what?"

"Yet my father, Takuta Ryuu fell in love with a human named Haruna Yamaguchi. There fourth bringing me into this cruel world, Kai Ryuu. My mother wanted to please my father by saying we’ll live in Maikai but because of that, my mother was killed by a demon called Youko Kurama. My father angered that my mother was killed, taught me to be cruel and ruthless. Then the same demon that killed my mother killed my father for raising a half-nigen half demon. I became a more cold hearted and then slaughter demon, exactly 123,232,456 demons for many decades. I then thought that demons were too weak so I then slaughtered 200 bounty hunters, 28 Spirit Detectives and I was also accused of many murders involving nigens. Then…"

"Then what?"

"I met this nigen girl, her name was Ayumi Miyazaki. I was about 2,000 years but in human years 16 and she was 16 as well. I was the Nigenkai and we met in under the Cherry Blossom tree in Tokyo. I fell in love with her and she fell in love with me. But…"

"But what…"

"But one day, she fell ill and then died from it. So angered from the fact that the one girl I loved died, I started to commit rape. I never wanted to find love again or return love."

Kai sighed and turned to face Takuya, "So in a way we relate by feeling the same pain."

Takuya, astonished and feeling sorry for Kai gave him a gentle smile, "Yeah, I guess we sorta relate."

Kai did something that he hadn’t done many years; he smiled.

"Thanks…"
