A bag of Fritos crushed as two fingers shoved themselves into the wrapper digging for the last few crumbs. There were none. Yusuke held the bag up to his eye and looked into it, "Damn. No more!" He tossed the crumpled bag onto the lawn of the skyscraper behind him.

"Didn't your mother ever teach you not to litter?" A jovial voice said as Botan picked up the Fritos wrapper and threw it away. "Nah, she just taught me how to get drunk fast." Yusuke replied. "Well, Spirit Detective? How have you been?" Botan asked. "Fine, until you showed up. What is it this time? Does Koenma-sama want me to pick up some Huggies for him from the corner store? Or is some demon trying to destroy the world?" Yusuke grumbled and sat up. "Oh, no, nothing like that. This is an easy breezy one." Botan replied smiling. "Well, what is it? Come on keep talking. I have other things to do besides listen to a hyperactive grim reaper." Yusuke grumbled. "What's the matter Yusuke? You seem very upset." Botan asked worriedly. "Everything's hunky dory! Now just tell me about the next case!" Yusuke bristled. "Alrighty, I need you to check a pulse." Botan replied curtly. "Sorry, you got the wrong schmoe. You stood look up Dr. Kamiya if you want a pulse check." Yusuke replied rolling his eyes. "No! This is a different kind of pulse! An energy pulse unlike any other has just surfaced a few hours ago in this city!" Botan replied her face beginning to burn with frustration.

"An energy pulse? What kind of pulse is that? You mean a demon energy?" Yusuke asked. "You have the concept right but the type of energy wrong." Botan replied. "What type is it then?" Yusuke asked. "That's just it. Information doesn't know." Botan replied. "You don't know? What the hell kinda answer is that?" Yusuke said sitting up straight. "Just like it sounds. We don't know." Botan replied. "Could I feel it from here?" Yusuke asked. "Perhaps. Concentrate." Botan replied.

It was faint but Yusuke could feel the strangest energy he had ever felt in his life a in the east business district down town. There seemed to be no definition to describe it. There seemed to be a mixture of energy throbbing at the same time. "Yeah, that is weird. So, Koenma wants me to investigate this?" Yusuke asked. Botan nodded, "He acted really strange when he gave the order. He said, `Make sure that Yusuke as the team with him. If it's her than we're in trouble.' I asked whom he meant but he just shook his head and said, `It's probably nothing. Never mind. Just get Yusuke on it. Immediately!' That's it!" "That's unusual. I'll call the crew in and get right on it." Yusuke replied. "Good. I'll take care of Hiei and hopefully he'll reach you by tomorrow of the next day by the latest. Then after you're done I'll meet you at Shizuru and Kazuma's house." Botan said getting onto her oar. "Will do. See you then" Yuske replied.
